Beautiful venue for a wedding cocktail hour with a true Wisconsin vibe -- passed hors d'oeuvres included mini grilled cheese and tomato soup, plus one of the Brewers Racing Sausages even made a special appearance. She made multiple comments about how it's expensive and seemed like we were wasting her time. This place isn't even the nicest one we were considering and was WELL within our budget. I came to the Pritzlaff last night for the my school's graduate school prom. It was a great time! The venue is gorgeous! Very spacious! The venue easily accommodated 400 people. The food served was very nice. A very diverse spread of entrees. The staff was impeccable. They made sure that plates and cups were picked up expeditiously. They kept the venue very clean. Very historic place to hold an event. I've been here twice and enjoyed both times we came. The space is big and the sections we spent time in are beautiful. The rooms have old beams that are massive and cream city brick everywhere. JCI rents the whole place out so being that we are in every room in the place I'm sure it can get a little hectic but I noticed none of that. Fortunately I've not dealt with any service issues. As a matter of fact I truly only have good things to say about Pritzlaff and their staff that served us. They were lively and attentive. The food was tasty and the ambiance was spectacular. We found it easy to get in and out of here even though it was a mid-winter event. Sometimes that can really put a damper on parking. The Pritzlaff facility is a solid venue and the location is perfect for accessibility. They obviously know what they are doing. Good stuff! read more

The Pritzlaff is amazing. This space was exactly what we were looking for; something in the heart of Milwaukee with an Industrial edge and a whole lot of character. We ended up using the 325 space, which worked beautifully for our cocktail hour, ceremony and reception, and easily housed our 175 guest count. When we started our search for a venue in Milwaukee this was actually the first place we found. We of course continued our search and looked at many other places but we could never get the Pritzlaff out of our heads; this was the winner for us from the start. You honestly do not have to do much with the space as it has so much charm all on it's own; the exposed brick, wooden beams and details, beautiful bar, and sprawling ceiling create quite the atmosphere. Supplement this space with the right details and it is quite honestly breathtaking. We worked with Cori and her team over the course of a year to figure out details for the day. They were fantastic to work with, very flexible with our shifting ideas, and super helpful/knowledgeable when it came to suggested vendors and making the most of our chosen space. Cori is obviously very talented and passionate about this business and location, and it was a pleasure to work with her in bringing our vision to life. We couldn't have been happier. Do not book with the Pritzlaff! From the day we booked them we knew we made a horrible mistake. It starts with the nickel and diming that happens as soon as you sign their contract. Every little thing costs extra on top of their steep rental fee. They make you pay for each chair and table that they own, not even rentals! Their staff, especially their main contact for the space, has been insanely difficult to work with during these unprecedented times. We are in the middle of a pandemic and all we asked was to move our 320+ person wedding to 2021 and they wouldn't allow it, all while they were moving other people's events AND still booking new business for 2021. We patiently waited until August like they asked to move our dates (we began asking in April for our wedding in late October), and we were then told us that they can host a wedding up to 250 people for our October date. We asked if we could still move dates and she told us it would now be $750 to move our dates to next year. The kicker is, since they made us wait, there are now no Saturdays available in 2021 and they will not let us cancel without losing out on our deposit. When we told them 250 people would not work and we still wanted to cancel. They told us 6 weeks before our supposed date that they could now host up to 925 guests in their space. How is that even legal or safe?! The point is, we do not feel comfortable hosting our elderly relatives in the middle of a pandemic. We planned our wedding in Milwaukee only so our elderly and high risk relatives would be able to make it, as we don't even live in Wisconsin. Your wedding is supposed to be the most special day of your life and the Pritzlaff staff have now made it the most stressful experience. As a professional in hospitality myself, I am truly appalled at their lack of empathy and service. They have no compassion for couples trying to do the right thing and postpone their weddings until a safer time. I hope no one has to experience this horrible excuse for hospitality. Beautiful space, but be prepared for a massive headache when working with the Pritzlaff. It's easy to sum up: most vendors are in the wedding business, the Pritzlaff is a real estate company (Sunset Investors). In fact, the space was purchased by a commercial developer who converted it into a wedding venue only to ride out the real estate crisis that crippled his original plan to use the space for luxury condos and boutiques. Their main concern is turning a dime, not your wedding. And you will feel that severely throughout the entire process. Responses (only after you sign the contract) are abrupt, boarder line rude, mark ups are CRAZY expensive (200 do simple go to the roof and take a photo? 500 for a string of lights?), added gratuity way above 20% that you must pay regardless, horrible wine and "champagne" (it's Cava) selection that is ridiculously expensive... the list truly does go on. Unfortunately, there were multiple times throughout the wedding planning process that we said to ourselves "let's just get through this, we know we are simply money makers for them" and when you're spending that much on a single day, it's a really tough reality to swallow. Staff only respond to mails Tuesday-Friday as they are too busy with weddings to answer over the weekends and need Monday to recover. Always review all of your itemized bills as there are extra charges that are unjustified. They will remove them if you put up a stink, but again, it's a horrible feeling when you have to go through line by line because you know you are being taken for a ride. Very sadly, if we were to do it all over again, we would not work with the Prtizlaff. If you are in a situation where you have an unlimited budget and someone else coordinating for you, it will be a great option. If you are doing it yourself, just know going into it that it will be difficult. It's really a shame because if their customer service was up to par with other vendors in the same area, and up to speed with the beauty of the space, they would really have a phenomenal product on their hands and would, long term, turn a substantial profit. The potential is simply astronomical. Sadly, we signed before reading their reviews, and we painfully understood that too late in the game. Beware. read more

We held our wedding reception in the 325 space of the Pritzlaff building last week. Pritzlaff has an incredible product. The space itself is impressive, unique, and truly breath-taking. Our guests were taken away by the beauty and ambiance of the space. Pritzlaff also has a handful of unique furniture pieces, which were great to elevate the decor of our reception. Day-of, the bar- and security- staff were incredibly helpful. The bar staff were quick, friendly, and helpful to all our guests. Bear, the security guard, went above and beyond to help throughout the reception. He even helped pack up our center pieces and decor at the end of the night! Kara, the on-site coordinator, was also responsive. The day went off without a hitch. However, we were not impressed with the customer service from the office staff leading up to the event. Response times were slow, and the office staff was cold towards us. We did not feel like valued customers, and were occasionally nervous that they were not on track with our event. But, at the end of the day, the space was beautiful, the details came together, and the day-of staff were incredible, which made for a fabulous reception. read more

I attended an event here and really enjoyed it. I love these old warehouses that are brought back to life with cool lighting, music, food and drink. This place has so much versatility for your vision. Large open rooms that are a unique canvas for your ultimate event. The Pritzlaff building is located just across the river from the Historic Third Ward and it was built in 1875. I read that the space is 26,000 square and can be used as 3 different spaces. I also saw a picture of an outdoor area that looks really cool too. Our event was really nice. I enjoyed the large open windows of the room located at 333. These windows offered a great view of the city outside (if you could look past the gas station). There were LED lights pointed at the columns to make the beams really stand out. I really enjoyed the second floor loft where the DJ was performing. It put the performer at a cool focal point because you could see them from everywhere and they were not hidden by being at eye level on the first floor. I also loved the original safe too...the photographer was set up here and was taking some fun photos of the guests. Unfortunately there was no money in here!!! There is a cool clock that is located near the 325 door. I was talking to the security guard about it and he told me that it use to be outside and it is currently being restored. I thought it was an amazing focal point when you walked in the door. The arms were missing, so I was unable to tell what time it was but I am sure in time it will be up and running again soon. The Pritzlaff is truly an astonishing and unique event space. We hosted our wedding in Building 333 and it was absolutely stunning. We received so many compliments from our guests about how amazing the space was and how they have never been to a venue like this before. We wouldn't have been able to have such a beautiful wedding at The Pritzlaff if it weren't for working with Cori. She is one of a kind, someone you want to have on your team, she knows what's she's doing and she's doing it well! Planning a wedding in general can be very difficult and stressful, so adding a global pandemic to the mix takes it to the next level, but working with Cori and The Pritzlaff made life so much easier. She was always looking out for us. She really cares about her customers, and it was a calming feeling knowing that I could trust that she would help make our wedding night look amazing and run smoothly! Our wedding planning experience during COVID was stressful, but we were fortunate to work with Cori and her team after our original venue was no longer available. Cori was very accommodating and truly helped us to have the most perfect wedding. Cori is talented in all things design and will help to make your wedding visions come to life. Cori recommended from the beginning that we invest in a wedding day-of coordinator, which we found to be highly complementary to this space. This space has amazing structure, but requires a lot of coordination with vendors, rentals, etc. so we understood why a day-of coordinator was important. We attended a wedding here last night. From a guest perspective the venue was pretty rock star. I like the modern feel and downtown location. We found street parking pretty easily. The catering staff was prompt and friendly. Nice bathrooms. Good temperature control. All in all we had a very nice experience. Just one area of feedback or suggestion if you're hosting an event here...they set-up the buffet table in a dark corner of the room. I think the lighting could have been a little better (aka brighter) in that one area. It was difficult to see the food (i.e.: one guy at our table thought the vegetable was asparagus...but in reality it was green beans.). Not a huge deal, but it's nice to see what food you're putting on your plate...also better for safety of the guests to have a little better lighting. read more

I contacted Gravity Events about having my wedding and reception there and it sounded PERFECT! I asked a ton of questions when I first spoke to Cori about budget so I would be sure there would be no extra surprises. After it seemed like I had covered all of my questions, I set up an appointment to see the space. Since I was not in the state at the time, I had my mom and aunt drive the 2 hours to go view the space. What Cori had failed to mention in all of our conversations is that there is a $4500 drink minimum ON TOP OF everything else. Talk about a surprise considering I wanted a small wedding with no alcohol. I felt duped and think that they just want to get people in the space to see it and then start mentioning extra costs. I would not recommend booking an event here since they can just fail to mention something so major. read more

If you're looking for a venue to promise you the world and then take it all back... unless you'd like to spend a fortune to have it, then this is the venue for you! They're horrible. I would not recommend The Pritzlaff to anyone. The venue space is beautiful - But, the way its run is ridiculous and unreliable. For starters, their management staff are completely unprofessional and extremely inconsistent with what they offer you as a client. Their contract does not contain specific pricing information from the beginning, so they're able to up-charge whatever they'd like to. For example, $250 to utilize their projector and screen, which cannot be moved...you've got to be kidding me! Plus, double check what will be included at your event, because that is bound to change, along with the price! Their staff clearly doesn't communicate well to one another and are extremely contradictive. During many conversations I was told one thing by one member of management and then a week later, told a completely different story. The reasoning, "because it was until recently it was changed" - Really, in a week's time it changed? If you can deal with their ludicrous attempt to host your wedding or event, best of luck to you. But, for me, I'm lucky to have found another venue that I can count on to make sure my event goes off without a bang! read more

Recently I went here for an event & I must say I was intrigued. After driving around for a bit I did notice that it looked like people were walking up steps inside to get into this building so I was wondering since I was in a chair how I was going to get in. After driving around for a bit I found an entrance into the building in the back that was straight in with no steps. I then had to find a parking spot which was very difficult because there were no handicapped parking spots that I saw. I did end up manufacturing my own spot in the back which worked out the best for me. I wheeled up to the building & had to wait for someone to let me in since the door was locked & even after a few attendees looked at me & walked the other way. After I got in I did find out that there is a very nice ramp in the front entrance of the building which I couldn't see from the outside that made me more at ease. Also, after getting in I was though a bit disappointed, the pics I had seen were much better than the actual product. Although, the history of the building which I heard was very cool & it looks like there still is work in progress being done at this location I would love to check this place out again in the future to see the final product. So the jury is still out on my final rating on this venue. read more

The Pritzlaff staff is every bit as difficult as the reviews make them out to be. Interactions with them are abrupt, showing no empathy towards your desires, are completely non-negotiable, and generally provide a vibe that you do not want when planning out your special event. I would compare the experience to registering an out-of-state vehicle at the North Milwaukee DMV. (I'm sure some of you will get that one.) Maybe you'll have a positive experience at first, but don't hold your breath because that goes downhill. On top of this service issue, they attempt to charge astoundingly overpriced rentals ($1000 for an hour on the un-decorated roof in the middle of a weekday? Come on guys...not even L.A. can get away with those prices). Unless you absolutely need to have your event at this exact location (or you have an assistant that will deal with the Pritzlaff staff), my fiancé and I would advise against it. Their emotionless staff and inability to work outside of the box ultimately drove us to another venue where our presence (and pocketbook) was welcomed. read more

We had our wedding ceremony and reception here in room 325. It was beyond amazing and exceeded our expectations!!! The space is amazing! Cori and Kara are so great to work with. We absolutely loved our wedding at The Pritzlaff!! It was a gorgeous venue and we felt very taken care of. Know that if you are looking for a venue with staff that will e-mail and check in on you weekly, this isn't your place. During the wedding planning process, I was a little surprised by the lack of communication and response time - but these guys are dealing with 3+ weddings every weekend. What matters most, was that on the day of the wedding everything went perfectly!! Our only complaint would be the bar. When we got the bill, we were surprised to see a 21% gratuity had been added. We were even more shocked that on the day of the wedding the bar staff had set out jars for tips! Also, the bartender made the groom pay for his drink - there is no reason that the bride and groom should be paying for drinks on the night of their wedding. All in all, we had a beautiful wedding and couldn't have imagined it anywhere else! read more

I attended a wedding in the 325 and outdoor space this summer. The outdoor space was used for cocktail hour. Definitely not enough room for 200 guests. Everyone was sweating all over each other. There were only two small bar areas, not enough of a table top for guests to stand at to order drinks. I feel like the bride and groom should have been told what the space could actually accommodate as guests were kept out of the reception area. The large windows in the reception area meant the room was very bright as dinner started. The mood became more formal as dinner went on. It really is a blank space. Much needs to be added to give it character. Lack of bathrooms. My boyfriend and I tried to peer into another space (333 I believe) during a lull during dinner and were scolded for not staying in the reception room. The Intermodal (Amtrak) station is near - trains are loud outside. Interrupted the bride and groom arriving. They had valet, I couldn't imagine finding street parking. read more
