I am truly hurt, upset, and disappointed with our experience and even more concerned for my dog's well being. We brought our puppies here for obedience training to Oscar which all seemed great at first and positive online reviews. Oscar and Maddie seemed like nice people that knew what they were doing. Bella (female) 4.5 month old Malinois Dallas (male) 9 month old shepherd We come to pickup our dogs on Friday 3/8/24 after multiple calls to Oscar and texts with no response as we originally requested this date. We finally get ahold of him to come pickup our dogs and already we were extremely concerned from the lack of communication from Oscar. It's like he went ghost with our dogs. We meet him around 4:30 at the kennel place where we dropped them off. We immediately see Bella with a huge laceration and bleeding on her leg from what they told us "she got caught in a wire in the kennel". How does that even happen? Why are there wires in a kennel? WHY DID YOU NOT CALL US??? Immediately we felt uncomfortable and concerned that no one was watching our dogs. We find out Oscar told us he was very sick, but don't you have other trainers that work here? Where is the girl we met? He told us Bella was at his house the whole week he was sick, we still paid for the full week of training, while Dallas on the other-hand was sitting in a kennel 24 hours a day in the heat! if there was nobody else training them, they were clearly not being watched, and this is the lack of supervision which caused Bella to get so injured. My dogs are not used to sleeping outside this was a new thing. The facility is not well kept and very dirty, I should have used better judgement to begin with. BOTH DOGS have kennel cough and a viral infection. Dallas has missing hair on his head. Bella has a life long scar and missing hair on her right leg and a cut on her nose. We are EXTREMELY LOYAL CUSTOMERS and we were hoping for a life long client/ trainer relationship here to continue success of our dogs training. Oscar had sent me many texts saying the dogs are good and all, but FAILED to notify me of my dogs injuries, which is extremely unacceptable, and very unprofessional. PAYMENTS: We agreed originally on $3800 for Bella (stated on the website I'll insert a screenshot here) and $4800 for Dallas. It comes down to payments and he charged me $1000 more for Bella for "bite work" which is not what we asked for! I thought he was just playing with her to have fun, I didn't know I would unknowingly be charged for this! Down the road if the obedience training went good, we would consider further training however, Bella doesn't even know the basic commands. (Sit, lay down, stay). I feel that we were completely taken advantage of and ripped off. Not to mention our dogs have serious injuries and lifelong scars. If someone was with our dogs this certainly would not have happened. Our dogs are our family we love them so much and we are really really upset and hurt with this entire experience. Is anyone even watching these poor dogs that live at this kennel???? The lack of professionalism and honesty is missing here. The least we could get is a $1000 refund for the overcharge even though we did not have the training completed. They were there for 4 complete weeks and we know the last week they did not get a full week of training with Oscar being sick. I am too scared to bring my dogs back here ever again and I am warning whoever calls this place. Any responsible or reliable person would have immediately at least called us or brought our dogs to the vet or animal hospital for immediate care and should have offered to pay for it. Even if I had the bill I would have preferred them to get immediate attention than just waiting till we found them. Bella was probably hanging there for hours in the wire before she was found injured. This is so bad and irresponsible!!!!!!!!! It is now Tuesday 3/12/24 - Bella is not doing good at all. In an extreme amount of pain and both dogs have to stay on multiple antibiotics for 2 weeks. read more

I have a female pit bull, her name is Angel, but she doesn't behave like an angel. She is aggressive not only to other dogs, but to people as well. I mean, she was that way, until we met Oscar. After her spending almost 3 weeks with Oscar in Pro Dog Academy in Loxahatchee, Angel suddenly became an angel ! She follows all my commands, doesn't pull anymore, and most importantly she doesn't bark at people. I can walk with her in public, which I was afraid before. She follows all 5 basic commands religiously. Oscar, the owner of Pro Dog Academy is one of the best dog trainers I have seen so far, and believe me, I've met a lot of trainers already without any results ! Oscar has his way with dogs. I recently purchased a 6 month old amazing puppy from Oscar. Beforehand, we discussed what type of puppy would be best for me and my family (grandkids included). I agreed to let Oscar to choose a pup that would best fit our needs. He did a super job and "Charlie" is a dream, she has quickly become a member of the family. Charlie is extremely well-behaved and super responsive to all commands. Also she is a beautiful dog and people comment on it all the time! I would highly recommend Oscar as a trainer with his many years of experience and exceptional knowledge. DO NOT BOARD YOUR DOG AT PRO DOG ACADEMY!!! I sent my 12 week old German Shepherd to Oscar Rojas for a 4 week basic training course. I paid $2,800 which was to Included housebreaking and basic puppy obedience. He does have 5 star reviews which is what I went off of. He came to my home and sold me a bunch of LIES. I was told that he would be LIVING INSIDE Oscars home and treated with fantastic care. I sent our dog weighing 28lbs. I was in constant contact with Oscar asking how he was doing. Every time he replied with, "he's doing great, he's getting so big. He's prob close to 48lbs already". He stated that our dog was completely housebroken and fully trained in his commands. The day it was time to pick our dog up, I got there and there WAS NO HOUSE, there was a camper. That would be fine IF* my dog had truly been staying in there but he was instead kept in an outside run with so many other dogs with him. When he came to me I was shocked to see he was emaciated. My dog was only 29lbs. SKIN AND BONES!!! I asked how he could tell me he was so much bigger and his exact words, "I must have misjudged". Are you kidding me? My dog was disgusting. He smelled horribly. His ribs were literally showing. A 12 week old Shep should have been at minimum 45lbs by week 17 like his other litter mates. OSCAR NEVER TRAINED THE DOG. HE HAD SOMEONE ELSE TRAIN HIM . I HAVE BEEN MADE AWARE THAT THE MAN WORKING WITH HIM IS NOT EVEN A TRAINER. Oscar sold HIMSELF as the one who would be training him. For $2800 I paid for HIM, not someone who is NOT a trainer!!! Oscar admitted that "Michael was the one to train him because he, himself really only does bite work". Bottom line, I was lied to. I was taken advantage of. I spent $2,800 and my dog knows nothing. He came back massively food aggressive because he was starving. We had to send him once again to a proper trainer that we thoroughly investigated to get him healthy again. DO NOT drink this mans Kool Aide!!! I don't know who is writing these 5 star reviews but they are false. The place is not properly set up to house any dogs. It's filthy. Please contact me if you want the real situation of the operation he is truly running. The little bit of training my dog did have was done on a box! A puppy should never be trained on the box as it does not properly teach them how to behave on a regular floor. He doesn't understand what to do off of a box. The entire situation is unacceptable. I said I wanted a full refund and he said, let me see the dog first. He doesn't have any intentions of refunding me a dime. I will never let him near my dog again. I have vet reports, pictures and videos of his negligence and he will face this in court. He will challenge this review which is fine because I have all the proof to show what happened. My biggest mistake was trusting a man who sold himself as the finest and most caring trainer around. If you don't believe me, go out to the facility and see how he keeps the dogs sent to him. Oscar is amazing! We brought our two year old german shepard Bear, in for bootcamp. Bear was aggressive towards men and dogs and it was a daily struggle walking him or having people come over without being scared to death. Even though he was mostly all bark no bite... oscar and Genovive whipped him right into shape! He is a completely different dog! He is so much calmer and now we can finally walk past dogs and people with no reaction. He even came for a followup to us all the way in coral springs and gave us additional tips to keep bears training up. I cant thank you and your team enough, you guys are the best!!! We sent our dog with Oscar of pro dog academy 3 weeks ago and just got her back today. She is a totally new dog and well behaved. I can't believe how he turned our wild dog around in just 3 weeks it's like night and day. If you have a dog who doesn't listen we highly recommend you call them. First and foremost, quality canine training is a niche field and one may have to travel far, sometimes out of state for the right trainer depending on the need. I am fortunate Oscar is only an hour away! I have a 3 year old Rottweiler "Jax" who I brought to Oscar to assess. These can be dominant, stubborn dogs. He let Jax walk around, get comfortable and get to know him. He also observed how I handle Jax, and my behavior as well... It's all the handler! Jax then suddenly mouthed off to a female assistant, by barking aggressively which has always been a problem. Oscar, knowing I live in a pet friendly city with many places I would like to walk with him, became very concerned stating that this could become a problem and addressed this immediately. Oscar did an exemplary job in reading the dogs behavior and by the time I left, Jax was calm letting the assistant walk among him as well as other dogs. The training field is huge.. A few acres I would estimate, perfect for working. There are very few trainers who have the knowledge Oscar does. Pretty cool guy too. I have known Oscar for over ten years and may I say this man is thee best trainer and best business person to work with. He is highly educated in his training for all types and breeds of dogs. Any age, any reasoning, anything you anticipate or expect of your dogs behavior will be obtained corrected, taught, and trained through pro dog academy. I have a five month old son and I was lucky enough to get one of oscars finest dogs. With no greet or meet the dog arrived and he was outstanding to me and my family. He adapted right into our home and it was so relieving that I didn't have to train him with going to the bathroom, jumping on people or barking. DO NOT GO TO OSCAR FOR TRAINING!! Oscar scammed my self and my mother out of $4,000 and neglected the health of our dogs worst of all. Everything this man promised he was going to do with our dogs during the 2weeks board and train such as take him to the dog beach to interact with dogs (which is the only reason why we brought the dogs to him, and also my mother was starting chemo and radiation for her cancer treatment so we really didn't have the time to put the work in with them which is why Oscar said he will make them perfect (His words not mine) they needed help with interacting with other dogs and distractions) he never went to the beach, my dogs have no training around other dogs. Oscar promised the dogs will be off the leash trained and would have no issues at all with going to parks and being around other animals. After the 2 weeks were up we were completely disappointed with the results immediately and he told us no worries I'll make myself ready and available to continue working with them until our satisfaction. Well that was a complete bull shit lie. He came out 2 times after the two week board training and the second time I had him meet up with me and my mother at a dog park to prove to him that he did no training with the dogs at all around other dogs. What do you know, Oscar couldn't handle the dogs at the dog park. He was unable to even bring the dogs into the dog park let alone handle them off the leash outside of the gate due to the distractions. Oh and to put the cherry on top of everything he said he was going to have to start charging us again. Even though he said it would be free of charge until our satisfaction. We paid $2,000 each for a shity shock collar that he refused to give us the receipt for, come to find out he recycled he collars and never actually bought new ones for us like he promised. My mother and my self are still having trouble dealing with our dogs around other dogs. He isn't a man of his words and is in capable of training dogs let alone the owners how to handle the dogs. we have messages of all the lies he promised us and is still refusing to give us our money back. He can talk like he knows, but when it comes down to being a morally honest man about what's right and wrong he will never understand that. read more
