Joe has in 2 sessions helped me to understand how to best support her in changing and learning new behaviors. I have started to see massive changes in my dog! Before training with Joe she was lunging at family members, barking excessively, and lacking in confidence around new people and men. After our second session she is moving toward being off leash around new family members. She is doing a lot less barking. Responding to me when I correct her behavior. Not lunging at people. And she is growing in confidence daily as I work with her using Joe's techniques. Joe is always on time, and gives lots of information during each session. He's not pushy or salesy- trying to sell you more than you need. Joe gets to know you, your dog, your household, and your goals for your dog. He creates a plan specific to you and your goals for your dog and then gets you there in the fastest way possible. He's an excellent trainer!! Joe is very comfortable with dogs and their owners. He's confident and helps you to build confidence in yourself and your dog. I would recommend Joe to anyone looking to train their dog and I will certainly be using him again.

I paid for six sessions @ $1200 with the verbal assurance if all sessions were not used, remaining sessions would be refunded. Had some concerns about her skills after the first session and by the second session had stronger concerns about her capabilities and her lack of professionalism. Asked her to leave within ten minutes of the third session after she completely melted down and was personally attacking. Took getting an attorney involved to get refunded the remaining unused sessions after multiple requests. She was consistently late, appeared stressed when she arrived and made personal and political comments that were inappropriate. She was also extremely aggressive with our dog, yanking him without explanation. She made his behavior much worse. Disappointing and unnerving to have someone so clearly off balance come into your home to train your dog and you're wondering how to get them to leave without a meltdown. Would absolutely not recommend.

Blocked me after I requested my money back as the "facility" I dropped my dog off at looked like a run down trap house. I was in such a panic that I immediately turned back around and picked him up because I was afraid for my dogs life. I was made to think that he was going to a safe, clean location. I still have all text messages with Steve so he can't act like he has never spoken with me. Then conveniently he says " I no longer work there anymore, they went out of business" and then blocked me when I once again asked for my $500 back. I am still doing everything I can to get my money back. THIS MAN IS A FRAUD.

Didn't put up signs, flyers, or even go to the neighbors to ask (I found out later when I went to them--where they also said that it is NOT UNCOMMON for dogs from there to show up lost on their porch). Even worse, they didn't even check the cameras to see how it actually happened until weeks later after I was hounding them. After going out there to look for her, the "facility" is in some backyard where the dogs get left out and rained on with some trashed house. There is one kid who watches/trains who is maybe 22 and lives in the house. When you're in Indiantown, feel free to see for yourself. It took them over 1 month to even refund me for the training camp ("we don't have the money") and they refused to pay for the cost of her even or any kind of restitution. The money doesn't matter but it's the principle. The level of negligence here was so profound. I've never ever experienced such an uncaring, incompetent "business". Don't believe the good reviews, they're all paid for and fake.

He was jumpy, it was hard for me to control him and it was offensive to others because he weighs 65 lbs. i like fixing things, so we put ourselves through training with Mike & Champion Dog Training. At the first lesson i was excited and felt great leaving, but during the first week i was scared to enforce because doggie was sensitive to the collar. Mike gave me a little pep talk over the phone and we made it to our 2nd lesson. I cannot get him into a down/stay using force, Mike says Im soft on him, but he's doing great with everything else we learned. Stay, Stand, Sit, Heel, he's a very smart boy & im very proud. We have continued practicing even after completing the 4 week course. I now feel confident I can control him and there has been a shift in Big D., like he knows I expect more and is waiting on my que. Even his dog walker said he has really improved and she did not know he was training.

Before training at OLK9 it was nearly impossible to take him for a walk. He was terrified of new people and city noises and would pull (him and me) full force into any door he could find. When his fear dragged us inside before he finished his business, he would have accidents in the house. Now that he has completed the 2 week board and train program, we are able to have friends over without him barking and running away in fear. We are able to take him on walks downtown, through the green market and he even sits in "place" until released while we eat dinner. I would highly recommend the team at OLK9.
