Would definitely not recommend this company to anyone needing this type of service even if they are…read morerecommended by your insurance company. Here is a partial description of what transpired since they came to our house back in October. 10/22/2025 ServPro came to our house to evaluate the damage done to our kitchen floor from water overflowing from a sink. They wanted to immediately remove all my cabinets saying that was the only way to remove any excess water. Well, the water issue occurred 10 days earlier and we had already removed all the water and had floor blower fans running constantly since. The only issue present at the time was that the wood veneer was curling along the edges of the planks. The only reason we called ServPro is because our insurance adjuster told us we would need to call a company that does water mitigation. We got the impression that that was a requirement for them to process the damage claim. We agreed to have some of the flooring removed that showed damage. They seemed to have an issue with removing our engineered wood floor. They left a large amount of the flooring staples in the subfloor. They were sticking up at least 3/8th inch above the subfloor. When I told them they needed to be pulled out they complained about the time required. They then decided to just hammer them down to the subfloor. I was concerned about all the staples left in the subfloor. When I questioned them, they said that they had some heavy paper they could cover the floor with and we should only go into the kitchen with shoes on to protect our feet. I figured that would work except that after walking across the floor after they left the staples started protruding through the paper. I called them back and complained about this. They said they would come back the next day and remove the staples that were there. When they called the next morning, I asked if having them come back would add anything to the claim and they said it was already covered by the claim. Well guess what, that cost me an additional $901.68. When we finally got a copy of their quote from the insurance company mid-November, we started questioning some of the other charges on the bill and there were several more. We are still in the process of getting them to apply a credit to our account for the items that we are disputing.
