He was very responsive, and was willing to work with us even though we wouldn't be purchasing fabric from him. We dropped the chairs off in mid-Nov, paid a deposit. He said he could have the chairs ready by the second week of December, even though he had other projects ahead of ours, and was planning to move his shop. A week before Christmas, we reached out to him- no response. When we still hadn't heard from him a couple weeks into January, we began to worry. Lan works on his own, and we were genuinely concerned he was unwell. By the end of January, we had: physically visited his shop, left voicemails and multiple texts, emailed his business address, and mailed a physical letter to his home address (the address for his business on the payment app). It wasn't until we finally contested the deposit on the payment app that he reached out to us. He was very apologetic and said he had health issues, including a hospitalization over Christmas, and was just getting caught up. He promised the chairs in two weeks. We told him that was fine, and after three weeks checked in. He told us they would be ready for pickup the next week. We asked to schedule a time- no response. Now, it is Apr 26 and we haven't heard from him in over a month. Though the payment app refunded our deposit, we are out two armchairs and over 9 yards of upholstery fabric. We are leaving this review in the hopes no one else has a similar experience.

The owner Ron estimated my…read moreseat and told me it would be done within ten days no problem and would call me if done sooner. 2 weeks go by and I didn't hear one word, not one call or anything about my seats, I decided to do a surprised stop by only to find the shop was closed during his open hours...had a sign on door that he would be back at 1pm this was at 1:30pm. So I call the owner Ron and ask his about my seats he proceeds to tell me he hasn't started them and started trying to make bullshit excuses saying we didn't pick a material to re do it with, complete lie I picked everything out for the seats when I dropped it off. With that being said even if I didn't (which I did ) why would he tell me 10 days then not even try and call me one time for 2 weeks to pick a material? I told Ron to forget it and I'll pick me up, he tried basically holding my seat hostage only reason I got it back is because I was outside his shop and wasn't going anywhere til I got it back, he ends up coming out of the business right next to his after he says he couldn't meet me til tomarrow. Take your business elsewhere where it will actually get done people, river city is a complete joke. Don't want people going thru a 2 week waste of time for no reason! Thank you

To make a long story short, we wanted to get our Jeep's drivers seat fixed (basically the fabric…read morewas torn and you could see the inner foam) and after a really bad experience somewhere else(hot rod auto upholstery) we took the seat itself to Roy. He got us in the next day and fixed it for $90, it looks so perfect it took me a second to figure out which side was the one he had fixed!! We had brought fabric thinking that would make it cheaper but he said it was too brown and he had a better match!! So so happy with Roy!! Now we can sell our Jeep and get the price we need to get!! Thank you Roy!!
