We purchased multiple pieces of furniture from Ashley Furniture Store. The couch piece came damaged, a hole in the material and the footrest did not operate correctly. Ashley called upon Dad's to come out and repair my furniture. It took forever, let us say over a month and one half. For them to call and then come out. The material with a penny size hole was not repaired properly and made it look like the material was melting and colored on. The Footrest was better by adjusting connecting pieces but it was not repair thoroughly, it does not close properly. So after calling Ashley back it took another month for Dad's to call for service again to come out and at this time the hole can't be repair. And it should have been deemed replacement needed by the company. read more

My couch needed a board reinforced. Jeff came two days after my initial call and repaired it quickly and efficiently. He was even able to sew a small rip on my recliner as well. Friendly and knowledgeable. He took his shoes off upon entry, explained what needed to be done and handled it very quickly. Worst experience and customer service EVER!! Tech refused to wear a mask, even after I explained my elementary age son's very compromised immune system. He rolled his eyes and grunted at me and then left. When I called to let the company know the front desk woman yelled and talked over me about how wearing a mask while fixing furniture is impossible, and how dare I call him rude. This rating is based on customer service and professionalism and if I could give Dads Mobile Furniture Repair 0 star they would 100 percent have earned it! This repair company is contracted by Furniture Row for warranty furniture repairs. When contacting Megan to schedule repairs I asked if the technician would be able to wear shoe covers or remove his shoes as well as wear a mask. She immediately got rude and aggressive and said "No the serviceman will NOT be wearing a mask he will remove his shoes but he will NOT wear a mask because he's already had COVID and we've already been vaccinated, we can't do the work we do with a mask on, so tell me right now if this isn't going to work for you and we won't come out." I told her that it definitely will not work for us and I am not going to put my young child who can't get vaccinated at risk nor will I put myself at risk. She then very rudely and aggressively asked me "Can you tell me why you don't believe in the science behind vaccinations"? First of all, who the HELL asks a customer this question? If you truly believe in the science behind vaccinations you would also understand the importance of still wearing a mask when amongst people outside your household as well be understanding and professional when a customer says they have a child who is unable to get vaccinated at this time. By how aggressive Megan became when I asked about the mask it sounded more like they were hiding under the "I've been vaccinated cloak" when they probably haven't been. Who gets so mad about wearing a mask if not for an anti-masker/anti-vaxxer? Furniture Row needs to find another furniture repair company to source out their warranty contracts because I would never want these people to repair anything for me, let alone step one foot into my house. Whether or not you/your employees are vaccinated it isn't hard to wear a mask nor is it difficult to respect a customer's wishes. We have had SEVERAL service people and repair technicians in our home since the pandemic began and not one person has ever had an issue wearing a mask in our home. Dad's Mobile Furniture Repair has the worst customer service and professionalism I have ever seen. P.S. To Megan and Dads Mobile Furniture Repair: doctors, nurses, and surgeons help people and save lives everyday wearing masks --THEY and all essential workers have been able to "do the work they do" by wearing masks and have not suffered irreparable harm from wearing them, so I find it absolutely hilarious that a furniture repairmen is unable to do the same! You can't repair a couch by wearing a mask? COME ON--I'm calling total and utter BS on that! I called Dad's for help with assessing damage from a recent move. Megan took my call and scheduled the estimate and she was so kind and helpful. Our moving damage was extensive and she got us scheduled for the estimator as soon as possible. Jeff came out and conducted the estimate and he provided a lot of information on specific repairs. Afterwards, Megan followed up the estimate with an incredibly detailed report to provide to the moving company for our claim. I own a local moving company in Spokane WA (www.movher.com) and have utilized the services of this company nearly since I started my company in 2010. Jeff and Megan (the owners, husband and wife) work extremely well together, with Megan fielding the majority of the calls, emails and paperwork, while Jeff is out and about making the actual repairs. I always feel 100% confident when referring people to them and they are my company's "go-to" repair shop when we need to have furniture touched up due to an unfortunate incident from a move. They take a great deal of pride in the work they do and Jeff is truly one of the best furniture technicians out there (30+ years of experience). He knows when he needs to say "no" to something which, in my mind, is just as important as agreeing to do the work. That says a lot about his integrity. I don't even want to think about the day when he retires because finding people like him is becoming more and more difficult. I wholeheartedly recommend this "mobile" furniture repair company. I too had problems with this company. The tech was rude would not listen or explain the process. I asked for a card and he rudely said he didn't have any. When I told her about this she became defensive and acted as if I pulled out a profanity book and called her everything in it. When I pointed out that I hadn't even raised my voice to her she backed up and told me she would talk to the tech. I explained there was a problem with the work being done in the house and she got rude again. I told her I would call when we could make a time with out the 3 yr old being there. Long story short she cancelled my claim. I too have been in customer servive for ove 20 years and have my own business. Rude, rude, rude. Love supporting local, but this husband wife team ran business is clearly needing to add office help. The wife runs the phones, but because she is coming and going all day with no regular office hours, she is hard to get ahold of. Once you do finally reach her, she is condescending, defensive, and if you dare match her tone of voice and try to explain that you had in fact been calling for over a week, she will cut you off and then threaten to refuse service. I have been in customer service and retail since I was 16, I now work at corporate in the retail space, and I have seen some doozies in my 16 years in this space. Customer service is demanding and customers can get pretty belligerent. BUT that is pretty rare, like less than 1%, so to have to refuse service is a pretty big deal. A rational person would not LEAD WITH THIS CARD. To have this woman, business owner, refuse service like that was SHOCKING. Is her business going so well she doesn't need customers?? Anyway, rude and defensive woman. Be careful where you purchase furniture in Spokane. Because some of the locally owned shops use Dads Repair, and Dads Repair is volatile-to say the least. read more
