I was walking thru the trails also on a beautiful fall afternoon last month with the fall foliage in full effect. It was a beautiful sight with yellow and orange shades along with greenery that was coming toward the end of season. It was a very refreshing walk as I was making my way to a nearby sushi restaurant. The breeze was a little cooler and the temperature was around 60 degrees. A beautiful autumn day.

And it's air conditioned -Handicap parking available Cons: - Free parking fills up fast -Gets a bit chaotic in the evenings when the older crowds come in -Craft show is more like a vendor show and out of the way -Some of the workers did not have appropriate sun coverage in the heat and we felt so bad they weren't provided that. -General fair overpriced everything. It was nearly 100 degrees when we went, so we brought an entire backpack of frozen water bottles as well as all the sun gear. Probably due to the heat, there were no lines and our kids were happy to zoom around keeping cool and riding everything they could. There are a bunch of toddler and kid rides which was just what we wanted. One adult wristband was enough to go on a few additional rides with our 5 year old. We brought lunch and ate at covered picnic tables. It was hot, and as adults we were sort of miserable trudging all over the blacktop, but our kids had so much fun and 6 months later, are still talking about it.

It is so large, in fact, that normal observation of the children should be heightened just a bit because they can get out of sight pretty easily. There are grills where and covered areas for parties and picnics. I attended a 'National Night Out' here that was set up by the Redford Police Department. They are always very helpful and kind. There is a baseball field here and some sort of trail. I haven't been able to get to the creek but it runs through the park. I am looking forward to returning here to investigate and study the creek and its environs.

The police blocks certain streets to give people who park in the neighborhood and walk to the park, room to walk on traffic free streets.

My husband and I brought our pups here for a little outdoor time during social distancing and despite it being a gorgeous Saturday early-evening we didn't run into any one else on any of the trails we explored. So it's a really great spot to enjoy some outdoor adventures without worrying about getting too close to other people. Beautifully maintained, tons of parking and pup friendly! Just remember bug spray if you get into the woods/near the river. I forgot and got eaten up quite a bit!

We grabbed some carry out from Trizest and picked this park since it's close by and there are several picnic tables, even a sheltered area and a nice walking path up and around the hill. The top of the hill is a great spot to sit and watch the sunset. The walking path around the park is pretty decent as far as length goes. There's also a little playground for kids, a baseball diamond and other recreational areas of the park. There are several different areas to park as well. During the pandemic it's a great spot to get some carry out and have an ad hoc picnic with your family and friends. There's some volleyball games going on tonight as well. It's great to have a little picnic at one of the tables and then go for a walk after dinner. We then stick around to watch the sunset up on the hill.

(Trying to tire out a 5 yr old lol) There is this great slide that didn't make me sick that led into 4 inches of water so you have to hold the little ones. There is also a couple of basketball courts to play with in the water where both small and big kids enjoy playing. The water park we went to was for small children no more than 4 feet. For being a Metro Golf Course, it's decently kept…read more Our golf group brought us to this park golf course, as it is not too far from Canton or far from my SIL's work. It's located not too far off from 94 and by 275. Not a far jog from home for us either. It was a nice for us and not a hot day for golfing. Its $16/pp for walking 9 holes or about $25/pp for a cart. Our foursome wanted to get in a walk. It's one of the nicer metro park courses I have been too in a while. The holes are pretty easy though. The course in general was quite open and there is not a lot of foliage or obstacles in the way. Allows for any kind of swing or slices.
