We, as parents, were paying for this membership and she canceled due to several reasons including being watched by a man while working out that they claimed man was special needs. In no way was my daughter disrespectful but she was firm due to this taking months, she followed waiting til feb to cancel and we were still charged. This is how you treat young women? Be ashamed.

Upon wanting to cancel my membership, I was told that it would be cancelled at the end of the month yet upon noticing my card statements, it was not. After reaching out, yet again, they said it would be cancelled and refunded; but surprise, it still wasn't! Now this is when common courtesy flies out the window. Threatens with charges for "trespassing," for "demanding" my money back, and for "threatening HIS staff." Check your cameras before making false claims buddy. Please don't go here, they harass you for wanting to leave their business politely and quietly because they're losing out on money. Plain and simple. This business is not worth the $60 you'll pay EVERY MONTH so please take your business elsewhere!! This business isn't even worth a 1 star, it deserves ZEROOOOOO!

Shapes is an all women's gym with a brand new location in Meridian ID. I signed up with a group of girlfriends last week and have been thanking myself ever since. Shapes has the kindest employees, trainers & management and every single employee who I've interacted with has been super warm, welcoming and engaged with the members who come in. They're so anxious to help and support women and you can tel they genuinely love what they do! I've tried group classes with Cheryl, Marissa and April and all 3 have been phenomenal and upbeat with a contagious, positive approach to leading group classes with ages, bodies and abilities of all types. I've appreciated that all 3 of these teachers have shared modifications for allowing guests to go at either an easier or harder pace, depending on their varying needs. My favorite part of the group classes has been that the workout room has positive affirmations and mantras posted on the walls that are so encouraging and lifting. Who doesn't need to be reminded of their worth as they work hard, making time for themselves! The price is unbeatable for what they offer - gym equipment to run, lift & bike, an infrared sauna, a stocked locker room with showers and essentials, full access to all group classes with a variety of classes and times starting early in the morning and often even having night time classes offered too! So glad I signed up, I've been loving this new gym. No contracts, amazing price - so sign up and give it a shot, cancel if it doesn't work for you. Thanks Shapes for providing women with a supportive place to move, become and enjoy

The Mecca Gym is a gem of a training facility located in a strip mall area right off the freeway in…read moreMeridian, ID. It is tucked back in such a way as to allow for back door access to the back lot for Prowler runs, farmer's walks and tire flipping. Owned by local natural bodybuilders and powerlifters, Eric and Kacee Cafferty, the locals all have a sense of ownership and familial bonding after only one visit to this gym. Go in without your headphones on and you'll see what we mean. Everyone is friendly, willing to help, coach, co-train and chat about pretty much anything. We saw a 130# gossipy female (very entertaining) trying to pr her squat with a 210# beefcake mainstay of the club. All of the equipment is top-of-the-line and the Cafferty's own several unique pieces we have not seen anywhere in the Treasure Valley. These include a Nautilus pec-deck straight from Venice Beach, a Roger's squat (if you haven't worked your ass-quads-core in this remarkable piece of equipment, a visit to The Mecca Gym is worth it just for that.) and a seal row bench. The powerlifting staples are of the best quality we've seen in the entire state and if you are trying to just work on your Big 3, this is your gym. Cardio equipment consists of a row of treadmills and a step mill. They also own a Jacob's Ladder, which is great. The step mill has no platform for a phone or iPad to watch a movie so that's disappointing. The staff is all sincerely friendly with welcome greetings, big furry smiles and surprisingly, the females don't annoy us with their friendly chatter. The "Mecca Family" (meaning the members) are always available to help spot you, inform you or give you a tip on how to hit that little-know muscle group or to share a new delicious recipe. The reason we gave The Mecca gym only 4 of 5 stars is that it also offers tanning and childcare-neither of which are note-worthy or worth it. The child care room is always unmanned and you have to ask a staff member to hang out with your kids. This would be fine for older children, but if you have a little one, training over an hour gets you feeling guilty as there are RARELY any kids to play with here. They do have a tv and the kids can watch movies or play with the plethora of trucks, baby toys or a toy kitchen. Also, there is really no set limit on the childcare hours like at other facilities so you could come with the kids at 3 am and train until noon if you so chose. Also, you could let your kids hang out with you on the floor as long as they are well-behaved. This is something you really don't see. The tanning bed was used by us twice in a row and not a drop of color after 15 minutes which tells us that the bulbs must need changing. All-in-all, this is decidedly FABULOUS gym and we could train here for hours!

I've never seen in the front desk before wearing a gray shirt I was coming in talking about getting My Wife a gym membership. She was a little flustered with the the price, which was fine with me I'm OK paying it but then after a few back-and-forth comments from the front desk, Employee My Wife and Me decided to walk off go about a day workout and then he continues to walk over not even five minutes later to proceed to further harass me and my wife during our workout and continue to say there's been a noise complaint which is clearly a false statement as he seemed a little flustered because my wife yet again stood up for herself when he came over and said there was noise complaint when we had mentioned who had complained he couldn't answer the question he said well people actually looking at me funny i hate that he even came and harassed my wife and l . I am definitely 1000% canceling my membership and highly recommend anyway looking for a better gym go to the villa. I'm pretty sure their Customer Service and front desk people are trying a lot better than this. Prices here 52.00 a month with a family member another $52.00 a month. As well Guest passed for 24 hour $14.00 Guest pass for one week $100.00 Villa fitness 47.00 per month and bring up to to guest free And 10 locations across the map and I am sure there customer Service representative is there I've been thoroughly trained on proper manners and not arguing with customers and how to treat people respectfully regardless of how being spoken to or getting into a little scuffle or argument and not rolling their eyes and getting an attitude highly unprofessional was not expecting that at all all the rest of the front desk they're fine. They're incredible that an individual needs a serious coaching or a new job.
