One, he didn't level the ground/grated away from my house. Just filled in the dirt. So it's lumpy. Second, you're supposed to overlap the fabric at least 6 in which he didn't do! So now I have stuff growing in between there. Three, he didn't use enough marble! So now I have bare spots! It's pretty bad. The price was all right. He did leave an extra yard of dirt for me which was actually really helpful! I was able to fill in some holes in my yard. That I appreciated. But overall, I wouldn't hire him again. It was crappy fabric so now I've got tons of weeds growing up through the fabric! To be honest, I did a better job putting down fabric and rock around my generator then he did! Maybe does a great job cutting grass but I wouldn't hire him to put down fabric and rock.

Our front bed was overgrown with ivy, bulbs, and old bushes so they tore everything out so we could start with a fresh garden bed. They also laid sod down to decrease the size of the larger bed which has grown into the existing lawn nicely. In the back yard, they tore up old sod and created a new flower bed along the fence line that will be a pollinator garden. All the work done was completed on time, on schedule and with excellent job clean-up within the quoted budget amount. We are EXTREMELY satisfied with Harris Landscapes' high-quality work and have already recommended them to friends!

We hired Scotty's Landscaping over the phone to do some pruning in our yard. We specifically told…read morethe owner that we wanted to walk him through the yard to show him exactly what we wanted done since he had never been here. We confirmed a date for a Wednesday. He showed up on Tuesday instead without letting us know. We were not home but he proceeded to scalp our shrubs and holly trees. When we arrived home, he was almost finished and we were horrified at what he and his workers had done. He cut off approximately 12 - 18 inches from the tops of the hollies that we were growing for privacy. Additionally, he cut all 12 of our daylily plants down to the ground, cut the bushes in front of the house almost to the ground at one point and did not even shape them so now they look like very short hedges instead of bushes. He chopped off about 18 - 24 inches from the top of a large butterfly bush that we were grooming into a tree. Plus every shrub on our property was cut back at least by one or two year's growth. We paid thousands of dollars for this landscaping and we were grooming all of it over these past three years. Now it's ruined because Scotty's Landscaping came onto our property when we weren't home and proceeded to scalp everything without discussing this with us. A simple phone call from him before he showed up could have avoided this disaster. We are heartsick over this.

First day, his team was a no show (no phone call or email notifying us). Second day, his team showed (without notice) and did the bare minimum of what he quoted leaving some plants in the front and back of our house. With that, his team only did a portion of the front and the back. We had to call and ask what the issue was. He commented that he is short personnel and would be back to complete the following day. He kept his word and finished; again, it looked like the work of a novice gardener. My wife asked why he didn't keep his promise of replanting and why it looked like it was poorly done. He replied with, "are we done here." That is not the way to treat a customer when running a business. Not being a Karen, just want others to avoid going through the same experience.

He came out to give me an estimate to redo my flower beds and that price included using my mulch that I previously purchased (it was rubber In keeping with the existing mulch). I quickly learned his competency level when I started talking about flowers, and he had no clue what they were He's basically cuts grass, that's all. During our conversation he stated, he was going to sketch up something and show it to me, never did. I never saw any samples of his previous work (most people show you samples). I work at Lowe's and had told him, how many and of what flower/plant I would like to be placed in specific locations in certain areas of my yard and he stated that wouldn't be a problem. I even gave him the plant cards to take with him from our original meeting so he knew the prices of the plants. I said no prickly bushes no boxwoods, no rosebushes. He talked about added a sky pencil holly to the end where I had a tall plant that he was going to be removing for me. After quoting me the the price of $700 of which $350 was to paid upfront, I agreed and allowed him to do my yard (he doesn't qualify himself to be called a Landscaper). He picked up the cash and sent me a text receipt and then said he was going to send me a text a receipt on Square and never sent me the receipt. He also stated that he was going to be starting to work on the following Monday, but never showed nor texted, his behavior is completely unprofessional, and at this point, he's just taking me for my money! I hadn't seen or heard anything from him until Wednesday, April 19, 2023. On Thursday, April 20, 2023, I stated to Joel, but goes by Joe that I had pulled all the flowers, except for the Lithadoras and put them on a cart at the front of the Store at Lowe's. He responded by saying that he would try to be by later on in the afternoon to get the plants. He did show up late to that appointment as well, no text or phone call. He asked me to ride up with him to Lowe's to get the plants. I said no I'm tired from work. I said this is where I left the cart. When he went to go purchase the flowers he then texted me and said I only budgeted $150 for plants. I said you only budgeted $150 for a whole flower bed for plants that is the most ridiculous thing that I've ever heard when the plant cards that I gave you a loan way totaled and superseded over $150. $300-$350 for plants for an entire flower bed for would've been a more realistic number (this again showed his competency level even after I gave him the price cards from Lowe's of the flowers that I wanted to incorporate in my flower beds). I said, what are you going to put in my yard daisies I said I was very specific about the plants that I wanted even gave you the plant cards told you about the quantity of plants. I said, I feel like I've been taken advantage of you have half of my money and you've done no work other than put weed barrier paper down and I have no plants and now you're trying to get more money out of me? I went inside my house and shut the door and he left my yard looking like this! He could have at least taken his trash with him.
