We had 7 different companies around our area in Maple Grove come and provide bids and JKR was by a significant amount better. Cost: Out of all 7, they were the best. They itemized in a detailed quote what they were charging me for and why. They also provided information about pros and cons of different rock, plants, and edging options so we could work within our budget. Service: Jay and his team were great. From the first day where they saw our location, they were cordial, informative and did not make my wife and I feel pressured. They took their time and worked with us. Provided recommendations that we then were able to research which was helpful. They kept us in the loop as to when they were coming, when they expected to finish and the one time they had to delay things, they informed us in advance so we could adjust. well, i called them for a quote. they gave me 3 choices. i picked one by emailing on the same…read morestring as the quote. i got no response. a week later i emailed again getting no response so i finally had to call and leave a vm. a day later i got a call back. they sent me an invoice for the deposit. i paid it a week later by sending them a check. they cashed the check...i saw it cleared. a week later i got another demand for the payment. i called jon again and gave him the payment info. he said he could not find the payment and yet i did pay it. i have gotten the same demand for payment every couple of weeks since. now, the installation day. they were in and out very quickly and did do a good job from what i can tell. they configured the system and all and that was great. a few days later i got a invoice for the final bill. the amount was not what was agreed on the estimate. i was busy so it took me a week or so to get back. when i did i found out they didnt install the system i wanted. they installed the system they decided...well, at least they didnt install less and charge me for more. at least they admitted it. so now, on the call he said he wanted me to pay for it when they were here and further, jon said i did not pay him the deposit again so i told him the same info. i was VERY CLEAR with jon about my expectations that i get an accurate invoice, then i pay it by check. now he was telling me i needed to pay on when they came out to fix their fuck up. and that is the really interesting part, that they messed this up and was demanding ANYTHING from me. so, they finally came out to fix their installation mistake. after, EVEN AFTER I WAS CLEAR THAT I GET AN INVOICE THEN I PAY, jon clearly told his son to stay on my property until i pay. while i was in meetings, i got relentless calls from jon as if i needed to be at his beck and call EVEN AFTER I TOLD HIS DAMN SON I WAS IN A MEETING and could not talk right now. as jon had pretty much messed this up in every way he could, i clearly told jon that after i received the damn invoice, i would make the payment. i did at this point i asked jon take a bit of money off the price and he did to his credit and they did make things good finally but just complete incompetence on the business side and what was his son going to do, i have no idea but the implication was clear, he was to stay for the payment as if i did something wrong...they f-ed this up the entire way and acted as if nothing was wrong. i doubt i will find a reason to use them again. it was comical how bad they messed this up and demanded things of me. i root for small businesses and know how hard things are but they dropped the ball here and tried to make me pay for it. **update - I need to mention that jon did take a bit off the price but only after I forced it and everything did get installed correctly and set-up for me and is working great.

I had irrigation installed. It went okay,but later I learned…read morethat checking our water pressure during the estimate is something other companies do. It turns out my water pressure is low. A Booster pump was recommended and installed by Sunshine. After installation,the pressure was too high and the new hot water heater leaked and we later noticed water damage under our new vanity. Additionally sprinklers way too strong. After the sprinklers were shut off,we had a large leak soaking up 4 towels a day of water. Jon the owner came to fix it the next week He could not answer the question about minimizing pressure to the water heater. We also noticed it ran continuously after he came and indoor pressure was not better as it had been after installation.. Turned it off until sprinklers were turned back on by Sunshine. Tried to explain continuous running concerns to tech who came to restart system.They Don't listen. My basement was flooded the next day It ran all the time, got hot, and ruined my carpet and air bnb business. A plumber came and saw 2 mistakes with installation. He didn't care that my basement flooded. Told me to unplug pump. Still sprayed out water. If they would have helped me trouble shoot over the phone at my first notification my basement would not have flooded. More importantly very poor communication and no owning up to mistakes. If I did not check my basement it would have flooded worse and could have started a fire. It is an air bnb. I have had to shut down until restoration is complete.
