The second pic is the copper the new roofer installed (the same work that Lorenzo was referring to in the text message string). The new roofer also confirmed that was one source of water leaking in my attic. He also found another leaky section where the roof was caulked instead of flashed. More cutting corners. These resulted in water leaks in my attic, entry way and garage. And in response to Lorenzo's comment on what's included in the 30-page insurance estimate - flashing is on the list, including step flashing, which my new roofer commented was completely original and not replaced when Mr Reliable replaced the roof. Another thing he was paid for that didn't get done. READ YOUR ESTIMATES CAREFULLY - I didn't and Lorenzo took full advantage. Bottom line, my out of pocket cost to fix what Lorenzo didn't was $2,700. This doesn't include the dry wall repair and painting still needed in the interior. Not to mention potential mold remediation. If you're read this far - move on. Find someone else.

I had the entire house sided and several windows installed. Despite my concerns, everything was done very well. I know a fair bit about construction, but I have significant vision issues. Nevertheless, I had it inspected by a trusted friend who is a retired builder, and he said the workmanship was of high quality. The siding was uniformly installed with no waves along the long walls. The windows were capped and sealed with a consistency. The installers worked at a swift pace, but did maintained an attention to detail. Throughout the process, the workers were respectful and courteous, and Bill, the owner, was on-site to monitor progress and address any issues, not that there were any of great concern. The entire process was completed in three days. There were several workers going for almost 12 hours each day. The site was left clean, both inside and outside. Additionally, Bill made a couple of good suggestions regarding how the soffits meet/feed into the siding. The suggestions were great because it preserved some of the character/charm of the original appearance of the house. There was one issue with how some HVAC lines were reattached, and it was fixed immediately. As for value, I think you get what you pay for. Although the price was competitive, it was not the cheapest. With that said, overall, this was a positive experience, and I would recommend Energy Savers for siding and windows. Tom

Given that the roof was designed to last 30 years, I was surprised to learn that it was only halfway through its expected lifespan. M&M sent a salesman, Gregory, who determined that the roof required replacement due to inadequate ventilation. I inquired as to why this issue was not addressed during the initial installation in 2010, and Gregory attributed it to the unavailability of the technology at the time. He then provided a quote for a new roof and departed. I subsequently sought the advice of two other roofing companies, and they determined that the roof was in good condition, with the shingles exhibiting normal wear for their age. An inside sales manager from M&M contacted me to inquire about the status of the new roof purchase, and I informed him that I was leaning towards a repair. He offered to send Gregory to my location again the following day, but unfortunately, Gregory did not appear. No phone call or attempt to reschedule was made. Now I am trying to get in touch with the inside sales representative, Henry, but he is not responding. I understand that it has been 15 years since the initial installation, but I believe M&M would be the ideal company to perform the repair, given their initial involvement. However, I suspect that they may be more interested in replacing the roof entirely, rather than providing a cost-effective repair, which is causing me significant frustration with M&M, a company I trusted 15 years ago.

The owner responded to my request for a quote immediately, came out to my house, and by the…read morefollowing week, I had new 5 inch gutters to match my house with larger 3x4 downspouts and Gutter Glove gutter guards at the lowest of the quotes I had been given over the past month. He was responsive to my concerns re my previous gutters (mismatched colors, undersized downspouts, clogging, leaking, and continual upkeep). The owner saw that I needed a solution to an area where there was only one downspout for two levels of my roof, and added another downspout (one for upper; one for lower) and routed one downspout in another direction, per my request not to flood out my lower lying neighbor as previous). He was responsive to helping me attach loose pieces of vinyl on my siding and he had his crew even caulking and painting some trim for no extra charge to make sure my house is waterproof. When they came out to install everything, there were 8 men in the crew and the owner, and they were in and out, in 3 hours, with zero mess left behind. They even took a magnetic roller over my yard to make sure no loose nails were left. His crew made sure everything I wanted had been completed before leaving. They even did extras that I had never seen before like adding aluminium guards in particular areas like around the chimney to make sure the water is directed off the house. All in all, I'm very impressed! They definitely go above and beyond and there was no bill, until every last thing was done, and the owner returned and reinspected the job. When I gave the owner the payment, he went over each part of the gutter system to explain how it works and put in writing a workmanship guarantee of one year, and 20 years for parts. He told me to call if I wanted anything changed, since I had made a change to his original plan in one area. He was very flexible about telling me, if I wanted it to his original specs, just call and they'd change it. I'm excited about how beautiful my new functional gutters look on my home!! I'm continually admiring how pretty my house looks now. I can't wait until it rains!!
