February 2025 A & H TRANSMISSION replaced the transmission…read moreon my 2017 Chevrolet Silverado and tuned the torque converter (probably). They also modified my engine control unit to disable my active fuel management, which was helpful. I paid for the extra warranty to cover the transmission and labor to the tune of $6k. Overall, I left the shop happy. August 2026 (18 months and 20,000 miles later) Noise from the torque converter, seeping transmission fluid outside the case. I called to discuss the problems as I now live several hours away. I was told by A & H Transmission to "replace the fluid with a Ford-brand fluid and see what happens". I was told by another reputable transmission shop in my local area the replacement of fluid is maybe a 'band-aid' to the problem and the transmission would require more extensive work and possible replacement. At this time, my truck is out of commission, awaiting a final disposition with likely another costly transmission repair bill coming.
