Do not come here they are rude and lazy. I came for a new acrylic overlay and she insisted I just get a fill since it takes less time. As she started to file my nails I felt my nail break under the old acrylic and it hurt so bad. She proceeded to put glue on the tips of my nails which is just lazy all bc she didn't wanna take the time to soak my nails and do a new overlay like I wanted. Never going back. read more

When my friend and I first arrived, we were sat very quickly, as it was a Saturday morning and there wasn't many people inside. It was pretty quiet in there, the staff doesn't make conversation with their clients or each other, which is fine. It's a bit awkward vibe, but this isn't the type of salon where you're going to be chatting and joking around with the staff, which is okay if you like that vibe... As I came with my friend, we told the staff we wanted to sit next to one another (girls' day). It was fine during our pedicures; my pedicure was just OKAY...it wasn't the best, not the worst I've had. The lady doing my friend's pedicure had shaky hands (an older woman), so she was sloppy, and when she asked another staff to do it over, they got an attitude. Hence, when it was time for manicures, they refused to accommodate us sitting next to one another, and was pretty rude about it. They would have us take our business elsewhere, so we left. This was my second time there and I won't be back. Last time, my gels nails were mediocre at best. They're not as polished, customer service or work ethic-wise. Been going here for awhile since it is directly across the street with mediocre results but my last couple visits have been horrendous. Today I got a gel fill in and pedicure. The fill in was rushed and nails came out uneven. The pedicure was great until I tried to put my shoes on more than an hour later and the nail polish slid right off. None stayed. If I'm going to spend $55 to get my nails and toes done I expect more than something like that. I should have given no stars but the staff is kind and I have been a customer for years. Neverrrr come here. I usually only come to get my eyebrows done because she does them well but not for nails because 1 usually breaks within 3 days. No problem because Dar Nails across the street does real good nails. I came to simply soak my nails off. First he cut them some then started jabbing my nail with that flat head tool they use to pop your nails off. He jabs me and makes me bleed. I jumped and he left and went to the back. I got up n rinsed it under cold water. I figured he was just going to soak them now which he did. He was still rough cutting them down more (my nails were med long). With longer nails cutting them right in the middle the wrong way hurtsss. Then he had nails so when using his tools he was digging in my skin with his nail trying to use his tool. He gave me my total I asked how much. He says $15. I said what about for the nail you made bleed ? he said he'd give me $3 off. I handed him my card he rushed to the machine points to the $1 transaction fee sign then tells me $16 then hurries and put my card in. As I'm telling him wait no you said $3 off don't charge my card yet he fans me off and points to the sign. As I'm saying no you said something different over there the lady who does my eyebrows points to the sign. I'm trying to explain the situation and he says I shoulda left when he made me bleed suggesting that that's on me for having to pay. I was in a rush this morning and dar wasn't open just yet which is why I came for a soak off. I didn't mind paying but why would I pay full price after YOU a "professional" made me bleed? My daughter nails was done poorly and so were no toes, they only put one coat on my toes and the acrylic was really thin on my daughter nails. It only last for one week before peeling off. Would never go there again. read more

Went in for a manicure, 12.00 bucks not to bad. Took like 20mins or so. Lisa seemed really nice. I was just a walk in. Did not have to long to wait maybe 5 mins. Had 3 other people in the place. The place was very clean. Only found weight watchers magazines to read while waiting. read more

Cheap prices and cheap products! I always test the Polish on my nails to see if they have been watered down with acetone to expand its usage. After testing 5 opi and 1 Essie Polish I just decided to go with a clear pedicure. I handed the worker 2 of the polishes that weren't as watered down as the rest. As soon as I sat down i changed my mind. Stick to clear. No sense in waiting half an hour for Polish to dry that will have to be coated 3 times! Obviously he thought he was going to just paint over the left over blue Polish he left on my nail bed. 2xd strike. 3Rd strike was terrible filing and shaping. The nail salon I usually go to is closed on Sundays, and this place was right across the street. I went in about five minutes after they opened to get a pedicure and full set. Their nail polish selection isn't all that great, although I did manage to find one I liked. An older Asian man did my pedicure, and he was extremely meticulous and took his time. The massage was a little rough, but not unbearable. Another woman did my full set; she was fast but obviously very experienced and my nails looked great. I had been in the city car shopping one day when I decided I needed to go get a fill-in and a pedicure. I had asked my boyfriend if he knew of a nail shop in the area and he referred me to Pro Nails. I walked in about 7:30(they close at 8:00) and they were able to give me a fill in, pedicure, and eyebrow waxing(which was a last minute decision) within an hour or so. The gentleman who did my nails was so fast(he was done in about 20 minutes) and the work was excellent! I told him how much I liked him being quick and he explained he has been doing this for over nine years. This was roughly two weeks ago that I went there for my first time. Then this last weekend I was at work and had two different issues with my nails: 1. a corner broke off my thumb and 2. I broke my real pinky all the way down. I ended up going back there today. I had the same guy again today and my nail was repaired and had the designs redone in minutes. I was waiting for him to tell me how much it was, when he said no charge. Any time something is free, that's excellent in my book and shows their customer service skills! Then I asked him about my pinky(because I'm not trying to walk around with no nail) and he said for me to not touch it and when I'm ready to come back and he'll make sure to fix it for me. So I went to this location because of a yelp review...anyways, was not very happy. Don't get me wrong the lady was extra nice but we had issues with communication. I asked her to shorten them and she does but doesn't file them to make them even. I had to ask her to do it...she seemed surprised which took me by surprise...anyways she got file happy and messed up one nail and thinned it out too much.. it was no longer square it looked like a triangle. When I told her which design I wanted ... she gave me her version of it (it was no where near what I asked for). She was nice but I wasn't happy with the finished product. I went to get my nails done last week. I was taken care of by an older lady and she started to do my nails. When I sat down I noticed that everything on the table was dirty. I wanted to say something but she immediately started to work on my nails (shame on me). I sat there while she spoke in her language to another employee for about 30 min (rude). I went home and I began to feel a burning under my nails but I thought it was just the glue. Two days later I realized I had developed a fungus under my nails ..all 5 fingers. After many visits to many nail salons this one took me by surprise. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They do great work and are not over priced. They have all the best selection of nail colors and all the new trends. They offered great advice and were not pushy. Place is very clean and organized They were also very accommodating when I changed my mind about the color and I didn't feel rushed. This is a hidden gem!!! Can't wait for my next visit!!! read more

I regret being too lazy to go to my usual nail place, Pearls Nails in Lincoln Park. I opted for this place near my house. As I walked in, I was greeted by a man who was just laying there on a chair. He didn't have the aspect of a worker. I had a mani and pedi. Most of the women working here are older ladies. They speak their native language to each other which I find disrespectful because they laugh at everything. The water from the pedicure made my legs itch a lot for some reason and I felt like there was no proper sanitation at this place. A little mosquito came out of the water and crawled to my foot and the lady doing my pedicure just killed it right then and there. I was grossed out at the fact it came from the water. Massage chair was alright but a bit too much for me. She looked like she was in a hurry and did my nails pretty fast. Only one coat!! I usually always get two. After that, I was immediately seated at the manicure table with the same lady. I chose to get a matte red Essie nail color and there was a fan on one side and a uv lamp dryer on the other which was kinda odd because they both dry the nail differently. Once she started painting my nails, I noticed she was painting outside of my nail. The red stained my skin and as she tried to remove it, she removed some nail polish on the side of my nail. I thought she would fix it, but she left like that. She also touched the fresh polish on one nail with her nail and left a dent and didn't bother to fix it either. Now i'm stuck with these horrible nails for a few weeks until I come back from my vacation. Never again!!! Pro nails is the worst. The shop is nasty. They have a couple of nail techs that are good and nice. But management there is the worst. They are not accountable or try to fix problems that their patrons have. I was in there last week to get a pedicure and no chip manicure. My nails have broken and they refuse to fix then. My nail is breaking in the middle. I would never go back. They do not strive to be customer service oriented. read more

I was in the area with my daughter, and we decided to try this place. We were taken care of fairly quickly. I requested the NO CHIP, and I paid $30. A week later my polish has chipped. This is not my first time getting this service, so I know polish shouldn't have chipped so fast. I also didn't notice how filthy this place was until I went to wash my hands which is the reason I didn't go back to complain about my chipped polish. The bathroom was even worse!
