Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I went in for a pedicure and was completely shocked by the poor hygiene and lack of professionalism. The tools they used looked dirty and reused, which is completely unacceptable. The pedicure itself was rushed and done carelessly -- not at all what I expected based on the pictures they promote. When I politely showed them photos of their own work and asked if they could fix the mistakes, instead of being understanding, Tom got visibly angry, raised his voice at me in front of other customers, and was incredibly disrespectful. The customer service was beyond terrible -- rude, dismissive, and totally unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that values cleanliness, quality, and basic respect for their clients. I would not recommend coming to this location at all. The man who I spoke to was incredibly rude. I came in first thing in the morning when they opened to get ONE nail fixed that broke, and he told me they are completely busy. Mind you, he was working on one person and the other woman sitting next to him was completely free. I am on a cross country road trip with my partner and we are getting married in 3 days so I am looking to get one nail fixed. I did not appreciate his attitude. I made an appointment on Wednesday to have my nails done this morning at 10:30. I was there until 1 o'clock. I was getting gel for my toes and a full set of acrylics. I never get my nails done but I was going to a wedding this weekend. I showed her the picture it was a pretty simple design. She charged me $105... I'm almost sure I was overcharged as I saw their prices on the sign and it should not have been so expensive. I was in a rush to go to work and when I got there I looked at my nails. The shape is cooked on multiple nails. There are spots missing paint, there are bubbles in them, and the design ended up being very messy. I went back in to see if I could get my money back for the nails. They declined me and offered to fix them but I had to work. I will not ever go back there. Never. This would of been my 3rd visit, however even after verifying my appt last week and having it in my calendar not to mention I could repeat her words ( what you can understand that is) on the appt. The first visit went ok, although she was about as friendly as a stump, the second one was frightening. Used paper towel knew it because there was dried acrylic on it. The little sanitizing jar looked like green pond scum and had no tools sanitizing, Files and buffers reused. Clipped everyone of my cuticle with drill. I picked out 2 colors and ended up with her painting black on it. I asked about it, and she said oh I do this then the other for the color you want, we'll that didn't work to well. I wanted brown nails. I wanted brown sparkle nails and depending on the light are sometimes purple sometimes black and sometime dark pink but never brown. My first clue should of been my last visit where my appt was at 9 and no one even opened the shop til 920. The sign on the door says 9. read more

Smudged one of my toes - rather than remove the polish and reapply for a smooth finish, she painted over it, it now clearly is noticeable. So, started coming here several months ago for my gel nails - just pink powder and clear gel, short, square with rounded corners, pretty basic. Mylin did my nails, supervised by her father's girlfriend's sister... Knowing that she was still learning, I am a patient person and allowed mistakes as part of her learning process. Nothing major, and every visit she got better and better - until my last visit. Because several nails had lifted, I figured it was time to get a new set. She didn't soak the old nails off, even after the supervisor brought her a bowl. Because all conversation between them is in a language I don't speak, IDK if it was verbally suggested that she soak the acrylic off, after the second nail started to bleed in the center, so I have to give her the benefit of the doubt. Because I like her, I was okay with tolerating the pain. When she did my polish, neither of us noticed it was with the dark pink powder - I go as light as possible, and in this salon that is the medium pink. Because I didn't realize the mistake due to too much conversation, and Mylin didn't notice the mistake, probably for the same reason, it wasn't caught until later in the day, in better light. So I called to schedule a time when she could correct the problem. The appointment got pushed back several times before I finally got to sit down at her station seven days after she did the new set. Given her reason for having to change the appointment, a medical appointment in Sacramento on Friday, I was okay with a Monday appointment. On Monday morning, she called me to tell me she wouldn't be back from her Friday appointment in Sacramento in time for my noon appointment, and pushed it back to Tuesday. The background noise at the time of the first appointment sounded like a restaurant. When I arrived on Tuesday, it was to discover that the background noise I had heard the previous day was not a restaurant but a hair salon - she blew me off to get her hair colored! First unforgivable mistake. I'm sorry, but if you make a commitment to someone, follow through. I can understand having an emergency, but a four or five-hour hair appointment isn't an emergency. If you want to get your hair done, great, but don't dis your paying customer to do it. Second unforgivable mistake - after attempting to drill off the dark pink gel and taking off half the thickness of the white tip, she tells me that this method isn't going to work. Instead of soaking my nails off then and there and starting from scratch, she tells me that I have to wait for my regular appointment, a week away, and basically infers that the mistake was not in any way her fault. She tells me she always uses the dark pink polish on my nails, even though I initially requested light pink when I started going there, and settled for the medium pink because it was their lightest color. Also, the drilled-down nail was left as is, no re-gelling it to protect it, just a somewhat pink center and a very, very white tip, left to be easily broken at any time. Then, to add insult to injury, her father and the salon owner Tom backs her up on my having to wait, saying, no lie, she's "got that thing," that she can't miss. What's a "thing," anyway? I'm sorry, but as the owner of the salon, he should have stepped in and asked if he could fix her mistake, not made excuses for why I couldn't get this problem fixed in under two weeks. I am more than willing to carry my share of the responsibility in this - I should have noticed there was a problem while she was doing my nails. But when the manicurist tells you it's your fault so you'll have to live with the results, there is something wrong. This young woman, who admittedly is learning to do gel, had no business taking on arrogance when a mistake is made. I texted that night to cancel my appointment next week. For this particular visit, my rating is a one star. The three star rating is for overall service, which was good until this visit, brought down by today's review. This is sad, because I really believe Mylin had great potential as a gel manicurist. She is also very personable, and we had great conversations. I will actually miss her, and I wish her well. But I won't be going back to a salon who's mission statement could easily be "family first." Customers should be your priority, with the exception of emergencies, as they are your bread and butter. If anyone has a (recent) recommendation for a good manicurist, I'm all nails, er, ears - most of the reviews here on Yelp are at least a year old. In the meantime, I'll be looking for a decent color to paint over my extremely pink nails... read more

I'm not exactly sure who did my pedicure, but it was a younger gal! I'm pretty sure her dad owns the salon, but I'm not positive. She was so sweet and personable. I came in a little bit before closing on Saturday and they could have turned me away, but they didn't. Everywhere else was closed, but them. I'm glad I got in because now I have a new favorite place. We chit chatted and bonded about both being from Sacramento. I got a gel pedi and it was $35. Pretty average for pricing. She did a great job. Sometimes people don't paint the full nail because they rush, but she took her time and it looks great! read more

This was the worst pedicure I've ever had, and I have had lots. First the chair was old and broken. The bubbly spa part of the thing didn't work and she put my feet in cold water. The massage part of the chair back was stuck with the 4 big round massage balls sticking out and right into the middle and lower part of the back. Then when she started to rub my legs I asked her to just skip that and paint my toes cuz the chair was killing me, they handed me a dirty pillow. Then when another chair came open they moved me. The worst part was the spa pedicure is listed as $20.00 and up. I did get gel polish. We are all used to paying 30.00 or 35.00 by the time they add it all up, but they still charged me $35.00 for 1. I was in and out for both services before one customer who was there before me just getting a pedicure. My gel polish is uneven and I asked for some rhinestones on my ring fingers however they attempted some sort of flower that used to be cool in 2000, it looks like a child painted it. My boyfriend & I were looking to get a pedi today and after leaving 2 other salons, we came here and they got is in within 5 minutes. The younger lady did my toes, she was really nice and gentle. The other lady was nice too. My toes look great, I did a gel pedi as always. Some lady in there told me Tom does a good job so I made an appointment with him for a full set basic gel color, so let's see how he does! Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere! Called in advance to make an appointment and was told $35 for a manicure (acrylics) plus $5 for a design. I show up and wait 20 minutes past my appointment time before being seen. I show Tom the design I want and ask if he can do it. Rather than say no, he proceeds with my manicure. After sitting in silence for an hour & a half, 3 nails are crooked and the design looks like a 3rd graders art project threw up on my nails!! To top it off he charges me $55! I ask about the increase in cost and how it does not match the quality of his work and he proceeds to tell me he does not guarantee his work. "I did my best." Well, his 'best ' isn't worth $55! My sister who was visiting from Southern California took me and another friend to get mani-pedis as a treat. Unfortunately, we went to Pro Nails next to Safeway. It is very clearly obvious that not even one person working in this establishment knows what they are doing! All 3 of us had our mani-pedis done at the same time which means that 3 employees were working on us at the same time then a 4th employee did my manicure. WORST MANI-PEDIS EVER!!! This business is a total joke...a really bad joke that cost over $100!!!
