She said she would put me down for Monday morning and that was a lie. She ended up scheduling me for Tuesday anyway. Not a very trusting place to work with. They should have portable heaters for this time of year. Worst experience and the lady was rude.

I brought in a truck with some minor rust (2 locations, a few inches in size) and some stone chips…read morein the paint. The job was a general restoration; there was no collision damage. First, the good: They did excellent work; the truck looks gorgeous! They even had custom replacement vinyl decals cut and buffed all the paint that they didn't replace in order to make sure everything matched. I have no complaints at all about the quality of their work whatsoever. If I were only reviewing their work, I'd give this shop 5 stars. The bad: Their business practices leave a *lot* to be desired! Originally, I was presented with two quotes: one higher, one lower, depending on how much restoration work I wanted done (i.e., just fix the rust, or repair all the small nicks and chips too). I authorized the larger of the two, since I thought that a thorough restoration was worth the extra cost. After over a month in their shop, I received a call notifying me that the work was complete. All is well so far. However, AFTER the work was finished, I was informed that the bill was now the SUM of the two original quotes (over $5600 total -- a very unpleasant surprise!), not just the larger one that I had authorized. To add insult to injury, I was informed that using a credit card to pay would also result in a 3% surcharge above and beyond the already inflated total. This had not been discussed earlier either. Consequently, the job cost far more than what I had agreed to, and I had no option but to pay it as the work was already finished. After taking the matter up with their management, they offered to drop the 3% surcharge, but that was the extent of their accommodation. They assured me that any misunderstanding was entirely my fault. As an engineer, I deal with vendors and contractors on a regular basis -- usually for far larger dollar amounts than this -- and I've never felt misled to this degree. In summation, if you need body work, this shop will probably do good work, but be ABSOLUTELY SURE that you understand what your final bill will be when talking to them and that there is ZERO wiggle-room on their-part. I'm not sure if my experience was due to a sloppy presentation of their quotes or outright deception (it felt more like the former than the latter), but either way, I'll be avoiding this shop in the future. As always, the old saying applies: "caveat emptor."
