On March 17th a plumber by the name Jeremy came out to inspect the issue and AT THAT TIME HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HE COULDN'T do the job because of the type of tank she had. However he proceeded to "fix the issue" and charge $700 for services. on April 3rd the same issue occurred and when Mike the owner came out this time he stated himself "the job should have not been done from the beginning due to the type of tank. A bad review was posted due to this poor quality and lack of professionalism. Mike himself asked for the review to be removed in exchange for half a refund. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. BEWARE

He claimed my house would keep breaking down without it. I don't know a single neighbor with a $25,000 unit in their home. Even worse, they wanted the $25k upfront with a 4-day wait for installation while my family sat in the heat! When I complained on a 'recorded line,' the supervisor just gave me a 'wow membership' credit instead of resolving my issue, promised to escalate it to her boss, and then vanished. Avoid them at all costs."

I've had them come out on 3 separate occasions since November 2025 to resolve an issue for me that never got resolved. They told me it was this then if it wasn't this it would be that. We jumped through the hoops and made all the changes to a tune of $800+. When the tech came out a third time in March 2026 and he literally told my husband what we had been having them come out to fix is how the system was intended to function. Sooo why did I just spend $800+ to fix a non-issue and why wouldn't someone else say that? Fast fast forward to May 2026 another tech comes in to complete regular service and what do you know that issue that the last tech said wasn't an issue turns out it is and now they said it would cost me an additional $1100 fix it. This is in addition to the $275 he had just finished swiping my card for to cover their yearly maintenance plan. I contacted the office and spoke to Frank. We agreed to split the initial $800 cost incurred and split ways and he'd reimburse me once he got the new quote. Sent him the quote but cropped the new company out because it's none of their business who has my business now. Well Frank now says they will not be able to reimburse me for failing to do the job and just charging me for things not needed unless I can provide them the invoice showing without cropping out the new company. I could be doing the repairs myself for all it matters. The point is providing you the next company's information should have no bearing or keep you from refunding charges that should have never been billed to begin with. Needless to say I am not being reimbursed half of the initial $800 agreed upon and Frank will likely come on here and try to justify not giving me my money back. Hope the $400 dollars is worth losing me as a customer forever and all the bad press I'm about to give you around town. I forgot to mention the new company is doing the job Cape Fear Air quoted for nearly half the price.

He was very thorough and spent a lot of time servicing my two systems. He broke down the mini-split and cleaned that system from the inside to the outside. He found that the main HVAC system blower capacitor tested out of range and replaced it upon me agreeing with him. Mike was very polite and courteous. He is very knowledgeable and gave me great advice to help me make good decisions to keep both of my systems running over this winter season.

After speaking with Aaron on the phone, I drove out where we met, looked at the property being prepped for sale then shook hands agreeing on what was to be done. I found Aaron to be courteous and profession both on the phone and also in person. He listened to my concerns and goal then helped formulate a plan to get the job done. Initial survey photos helped us to narrow down the work to be completed, a timeline was put into place and then final photos were sent showing all the work that had been performed. Other than our first meeting at the property, Tate Home Services completed all service requested in a professional and timely manner. Great communication skills, value and quality work. I sent multiple emails responding to their invoice inquiry, but they sat in their spam folder. I was verbally told they were leaving double negative reviews, strictly to get my attention. I have a recorded call from yesterday where they stated all this but refuse to be honest online. They purposely copy and pasted a negative review to apply twice against the company I work for. Per their contract with us, they receive payment 45 days from the date we receive their invoice OR when we receive payment from our client. I do not recommend getting involved with dishonest people who use the internet as a game to destroy other businesses. This company did not hold up to the terms of their agreement and are using the internet as a game of destruction.
