Had Mel assigned to my appointment today. To start off; he called me prior to the appointment and let me know he was on his way, showed up 10 min early, and went right to work! I really appreciated that he asked if he needed to take his boots off. Mel really gave my son and I the southern hospitality vibe which we adored. He was very knowledgeable in his trade and knew exactly how to fix the issues at hand. My son's shower had a leak due to the handle being loose and a cartridge having gone bad on the internal mechanism. My house is 20+ years old so slowly things are starting to go bad. Mel did not have the part needed on hand, but that wasn't an issue for him. He went to 3 different stores to find the part I needed and ensured that my son had a working shower the same day. (which is much appreciated since he is 13 years old) Also fixed was my garbage disposal, it was a quicker job, but not only did he make sure the disposal was properly installed; he made sure to clean up after himself as well! I'm writing this review on behalf of a friend because I witnessed the unprofessional of this business. Mike's Plumbing was asked to come out to see why toilets and bathtubs were backed up. On March 17th a plumber by the name Jeremy came out to inspect the issue and AT THAT TIME HE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HE COULDN'T do the job because of the type of tank she had. However he proceeded to "fix the issue" and charge $700 for services. on April 3rd the same issue occurred and when Mike the owner came out this time he stated himself "the job should have not been done from the beginning due to the type of tank. A bad review was posted due to this poor quality and lack of professionalism. Mike himself asked for the review to be removed in exchange for half a refund. I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone. BEWARE read more

Jeremy came out in March 16 25 I was charged and emergency fee plus 600 ish dollars to repair my sink and toilet blockage asked for a 5 star review (I completed review ask requested). Not even 30 days later I'm having the same issue and I am being told that I would need to pay the same emergency fee plus 600$ plus to have this issue resolved again. Jeremy did a fantastic job with installing a new toilet. He was informative on his knowledge on plumbing and answered my questions he also cleaned up any messes left by Installation. The only negative not his fault is the price of the installation. read more

Came out to fix a leak under the house in crawl space. Leak fixed quickly. Plumber was there about an hour. Bill was $350.00. After he left, he emailed an invoice and $45 dollars was included in bill as a TIP! Are you kidding me? A TIP??? That is ridiculous. Will never use them again. Will also never recommend them to anyone at FT Bragg or Fayetteville area. read more

Life Saving!!! Squirrel came out to save the day at our house. Of course, the day started with the husband saying he was going to do some light construction in the yard. An hour later, he came and said he messed up pretty bad and help is on the way. He was trying to dig a hole for a 4x4 post and hit the water line. Squirrel gave us a call and said he was on his way after the husband called their office to request assistance. Squirrel was wonderful to work with and was extremely professional. The two guys came in I told them my shower valve stems need to be replaced the look at my shower leaking and told me they can fix it and it all needs to be replaced For 980.00 Them not knowing I took the steam out myself but just didn't keep and bought the wrong size . And then took 85.00 from to tell me that. I don't know who these people giving them good reviews but trust me they wasn't the ones who seen me. read more

Steve and Noah came out and they were here maybe 40 minutes from ringing the doorbell to paying. They were very nice and even here 2.5 hours before my scheduled appointment! I was so happy to have them out to fix our outside water spigot. The pressure piece was broken and kept vibrating to turn itself on. I had it duct taped to stay turned off until they could get here. I called on Monday 6/6 and they were able to get me in 6/8 since the tape was holding and didn't need an emergency appt. But was given the option to call and change if needed and they would get me one of their emergency appointments. read more

Attention please... when I tell you about Mike's Plumbing and his crew! I'm not gonna lie! 5 stars don't do justice. My water valve broke in the early morning at 230 am. I called a whole bunch of plumbers but to no avail... my house, my dream home was flooding I mean the water was just gushing and gushing I was crying and asking God himself to help me... the water was in my two smaller bedrooms.. the hallway bathroom.. my main bedroom and closet.. it was destroying my hardwood floors. My phone rang at about 3 am and it was Steve from Mike's! Lord someone is calling back. I told him about my. emergency and he told me they would be there at about 11. Well, they showed up early. Steve and Bernie and when I tell you from the moment they introduced themselves I was ok. These two awesome men went straight to work and within 45mns too.an hour.. my water valve was fixed with a new one and they even turned my water back on for me from the outside. Steve is awesome he took the time and talk to me and made me feel good knowing g my. problem was fixed. He went as far as telling me that he would call the restoration company Cape Fear.. and low and behold he did that.. and when I tell you that this man, this awesome human being did the damn thing and got the ball rolling for my house to be fixed through my insurance and all. If you could see the smile on my face and soul. Thank you to Mike's Plumbing for a job well done with two of the best plumbers ever Steve and Bernie!!!! I highly recommend Mikes plumbing. The sewer line in my house got backed up twice and caused some issues. I called Mike's plumbing. Mike came out and assessed the situation and replaced a toilet flange that eliminated the sewage smell. He determined that my main sewer line needed to be replaced, coordinated to get the gas lines marked and get the sewer line inspected after it was replaced. Mike's plumbing did a great job! They replaced my main sewer line in one day. They checked that everything was functioning and draining like it should. To include cleaning out a sink pipe with years worth of grease build up (I'm blaming previous owners for that). And then they checked everything again. It was a lot of work and it was a messy job, but they fort everything in my house draining properly in one day and were really good about cleaning up afterwards in regards to both my yard and my house. read more

Communication and customer service are lacking!! I just wanted to make sure a water stain we had on our water heater was from an old leak. Their website says free estimates, but once they determined nothing was leaking, only looked at the tank, they charged me $216.00. Then they only provided a receipt l, had to call for the invoice. But I needed a report too, stating no leaks present, which the plumber said he would provide, even stating what he was going to write. On top of it They were 40+ mins late to the appointment. I have called, and emailed multiple times, 2 voicemails, finally talked to someone who said they would send out the report. Now it's over 24 hours later, and I got a call from their emergency line, asking if I had an emergency...no just need a report. Guy was super rude, said they only work Monday -Friday unless it is an emergency. So all that to say, do not use them. Bad communication and too high priced. read more

Mike's plumbing was phenomenal! The guys were super friendly and quick! The one thing I will say is that when they came out they ended up fixing things that I didn't ask them to fix so the bill then added up. It's not a big deal to me because we just moved into our first house and I wanted to make sure things were fixed but for someone who doesn't have the money I feel like that would be an issue. read more

I gave them one star because I couldn't give them less. The say "free estimates " but if you don't like the outrageous price quoted you have to pay them for just coming out for that estimate then they give you a lump sum quote and won't do a breakdown (seems everyone does this now a days) then you are trapped in because you have to pay them for coming out so you say just do the job they finish and the charge is more than the quote which they conveniently left off taxes. Also, what is it these days that they don't have a receipt for you when you make a payment? They ASSUME that the world has email and smartphones to get their receipts. I don't (I am at the library sending this review) I paid cash anad I wanted a receipt saying so and I had to make my own up so I had proof I paid them. All this and the attitude along with it from workers and management that this is how its done" and its my fault and they are doing me a favor! Some favor. Only polite person, Mike C, thank you Mike.
