While concerns I raised were ultimately addressed, the interactions left me feeling uncomfortable rather than reassured. My son came home with other children's' diapers and clothes on many occasions. There was so much disorganization. The owner monitors the comments of parents on private Facebook groups and is retaliatory towards them when they post anything critical. You will see this on their responses to critical reviews online as well. She sent out weekly emails reprimanding all parents for the actions of a few. I paid for an extra hour of care each day and came on time, often earlier than I needed to, but I still received these emails reprimanding everyone in the class. There was noticeable staff turnover, including two directors within one year. One departing director communicated to parents via email that the work environment was challenging, which understandably raised concerns among families. Some teachers appeared inexperienced and were frequently on their phones during pickup times, often requiring me to get their attention. While the teachers were kind to my child and did a good job teaching him, this was concerning. Information shared in the app was occasionally inaccurate (for example, meals reported as fully eaten when food was returned mostly untouched). The daycare itself is very small and lacks enough of a large open play space which is concerning, especially in the winter time. Parents were not allowed to enter classrooms to drop off or pick up their children. A friend of mine in town shared with me that her twin girls were coming home with bite marks on them and the owner denied that anyone was biting them and refused to allow them to look at the camera to see what happened. The communication style and leadership environment significantly impacted our comfort level as parents and ultimately led to our decision to leave. I am sharing this review to provide honest, respectful feedback based on our experience. I have noticed that some critical reviews appear to have been removed in the past. My intention is not to discourage others, but to offer transparency and encourage continued improvement.

I was informed by a staff member that he had made a sexual gesture or comment. As his parent, I know the behavior they were referring to was simply him picking his nose and putting his finger in his mouth--a gross but very typical behavior for a 3-year-old the other teacher even came out as I was extremely concerned to say it was innocent. The teacher accusing my son attacked me none the less at pick up not even a hello. The situation was handled in an extremely unprofessional manner, and I was shocked that such a serious accusation was made instead of approaching it with appropriate understanding of normal toddler development.What was equally disappointing was the lack of communication afterward. After this incident was reported to management, neither the director nor anyone from administration reached out to check on my child, discuss the situation, or address my concerns. That level of follow-up and accountability was completely absent. In my opinion, the facility also appeared unclean, and the overall professionalism of the staff did not inspire confidence. After this experience, I chose not to send my son back and enrolled him elsewhere. The difference in professionalism, communication, and care has been night and day. I also encourage parents to review the daycare's inspection history and any licensing violations through the New Jersey child care licensing records before making a decision. It's important to do your research and make an informed choice about where you entrust your child. Every child deserves to be cared for by patient, well-trained professionals in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here.

Where do I start...My child started TLE river vale in September 2023. After rave reviews from…read morefriends whose children attend at other locations, we hoped to have the same experience. Upon our tour we were sold on nutritious meals, small intimate classrooms, clean environment, and caring staff. We were extremely misled by TLE. The first few months put our minds at ease with the access of the TLE app. This told a story of our child thriving, eating every meal and participating in activities. We came to find out the app was extremely inaccurate. Upon speaking with the teachers we were told our child wasn't eating at all after we've been lied to for months about our child's eating via the app. Not only was this extremely irresponsible of TLE but this was also neglectful to not tell us that he was going days without eating and posting photos "to show face". My child started with 12 children in the class in September. Currently the class has 16-18 children which is extremely unsafe! It is impossible for a class that size to be properly cared for with the number of teachers provided. When it comes to a clean environment TLE is NOT the place. There have been multiple instances at pick up where these is a mess of food left on the tables from earlier lunch. While I know kids are messy, my child would come back from school filthy which I'm sure contributed to the amount of urgent care and sick visits monthly. The teachers were very nice I felt bad they were dealing with limited resources and staff. Which makes the teacher turnaround at this center believable. Overall There were many occasions where my child was dropped off later in the day and I've seen teachers sitting at the children's table while the kids played on the other side of the room. I am extremely disappointed in this center and how they've handled situations with our family. The lack of receptiveness to our feedback in the past shows the lack of care for anything other than making money off packing these classrooms with kids. Do your research on these chain daycares before enrolling. I certainly will moving forward.

The only reason we stopped going is because my travel schedule picked up at work so a full time nanny made more sense. I credit TLE for helping my son develop and learn as quickly as he did. During our initial tour, we were told they taught the kids sign language. I was skeptical, but was proven wrong when at 6 months he was signing "more" and "eat" to communicate his needs. I will also be forever grateful for Miss Pam, the teacher in the infant room that helped me get the hang of being a first time working mom. I remember seeing my son roll for the first time and was so excited about it. When I asked Miss Pam how long he'd been doing it, she told me "the first time he does it is when you see it." They do a great job of arranging fun events for the kids; coming up with all sorts of themes and art projects to keep them engaged. They even have an annual petting zoo and water games in the summer. My son loved it there and still remembers all his teachers that took great care of him and his friends that he grew up with. We definitely miss it there and I highly recommend TLE to anyone that is considering them for childcare. The curriculum and environment are top notch and the teachers and the administrative staff truly care not just about the children but for the parents as well.

I originally was going to TLE in Waldwick (which is wonderful by the way) but decided to transfer to Ramsey since it was closer to my new home. This daycare was much older looking than the one in Waldwick but I assumed it was clean and my son was being cared for which is all that really mattered to me. Well from day 1 my son came home filthy, white socks were BLACK, food stuck to his clothes, hair and face everyday. I let it go for a week because I didn't want to seem "annoying" which I had every right to be but I figured I'd let it slide temporarily. Until week 2 when he came home with full blown pink eye! Green junk flowing out of his eyes when I picked him up and no one mentioned a thing to me! When I mentioned it, no one had noticed anything wrong with him apparently. My son has had pink eye before but never to this extreme, to the point that his eyes were almost sealed shut and it lasted over 2 weeks. I asked the teacher why I was not called and she said she did tell Tara, one of the directors but apparently she FORGOT to call me. So all day long apparently no one realized that a 10 month old with visible pink eye was still in the class and no parent had yet to pick him up? Absolutely unacceptable. I received no apology or acknowledgement from Tara for neglecting to call me. I waited about another week to see if there was any improvement of cleanliness but every single day my son came home looking like he was rolling around in dirt. I pulled him out within 3 weeks of attending this daycare. I complained to Neelam, the other director - she was very understanding and apologized for the negligence. After complaining, I was refunded one week of tuition. Truthfully, I should've fought for the entire month of reimbursement but I just wanted to cut ties immediately. Flash forward about 6 weeks, I finally get a reimbursement check after following up 3 times. I show up at the daycare to pick of the check that was handed to me by Tara, yet again no acknowledgement or apology for my horrible experience. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND!!! If you love and care for your children's well-being, please please please do your research before committing to this daycare. It was by no means cheap but you could never expect to find this in a Ramsey, NJ daycare.

His teacher has been working with him with potty training which is amazing. They even offer before and after care which was very important for me with my work schedule. It's nice that they communicate with parents often. We get a calendar every month of what the kids will be learning and any important dates to remember. I love getting the weekly picture updates.
