The vendors are friendly and everything I have tried has been delicious. A few of my favorite vendors are: -Potato Homestead, a local farm from Woodbine, NJ. The owner is very warm and welcoming and everything I have bought from there has been delicious and fresh. Their strawberries from here taste like candy. If the Dickinson Square market is not a convenient location, they can be found all over the tristate area every week. -Fruitwood Farms, a local farm from Monroeville, NJ. The produce here is amazing. They had the cutest little cabbages. -Crocus Eatery, a vegan bakery. Their whoopie pies are yummy and the no bake cookies are some of the best I've ever had. If you are unsure of what to order, the owner is friendly and very helpful. Things to know: -market hours are every Sunday from 10AM to 1PM -market is closed in July 4th -bring some reusable bags -most stalls take credit card -it can get very busy, best times are right when the market open or about 30 mins before the market closes

So there. I'm giving three stars simply because right now there are just three vendors. A decent variety of vegetables (as well as other items like honey) are being sold but much more is needed, including eggs, meats, dairy, a baker or two. The people I bought my carrots from were very nice and talked of plans to get some more vendors there. It's open 10-2 on Sundays in the SE corner of the park. It's a nice setting for a market and something that the area needs. I hope it will expand soon.

Originally cited in a municipal parking lot, a few years ago it moved to the grounds of Grace Chapel, 1/2 block away from it's original location. Yesterday was my first actual visit to the market, despite being in the area since before it's inception. It's one of those "Oh, shoot, I meant to go there and check it out" places. Finally, I did and am happy for it! This is not a large market. There were maybe 10 - 12 vendors there. Five of them were local farmers, including one selling organic heirloom vegetables. It was nice having the variety, so many farmer's markets these days have more soap, cake, flower, and other vendors and few actual food growers. The other five or so stands though were a nice variety. One sold beautiful fresh flower arrangements. One was a local butcher selling chicken, beef and pork. One was a charcuterie with interesting varieties of hand made sausage and salume. There was a gelato stand, a woman who makes unbelievably good cookies and a woman selling Irish Victory Cakes. That was new to me. What the heck are Irish Victory Cakes? Tecup sized bundt cakes full of cake heaven. (They also sell larger sized victory cakes). Yes, I bought them. No, I'm not sharing. All of the stands were local, the farthest coming from South Jersey (vegetables, corn picked that day, mmmmmmmm) and Lancaster (the largest and sweetest non - Visalia sweet onion I have ever had, grilled perfection for dinner last night, folks). It's a nice place, friendly, well laid out, not too big to be overwhelming but big enough to offer a good variety. Parking is pretty easy, half the Chapel lot is reserved for visitor parking and there's also some parking on Darby and on the side streets. The market happens from 3- 7 PM every Wednesday during spring-summer-early fall. I'll definitely be back.

My bag had a nice mix, fresh produce plus things like bruschetta and tofu, which made it feel more like a full haul instead of scraps. Everything tasted fresh and still had good life in it, not like last minute clearance. The store itself is very clean and well kept. Produce looks vibrant and organized, not picked over. There is also someone in the back keeping an eye on things with cameras, and he was really kind when helping me out. Staff in general were friendly and the whole place felt well run. After this, I would actually come back and shop here normally, not just for Too Good To Go. Great quality, great variety, and a really solid experience overall.

It's 10-2 on Saturday (at least in season) and this is my new favorite farmer's market! It is NOT BIG - usually 3-4 vendors, selling almost exclusively fruit and veg. But those vendors have such quality stuff and are so friendly that I delight in heading over there on a Saturday morning. One of the tables is manned by the students at Girard College - they're very enthusiastic and sweet. They grow everything they sell. There were two food trucks and a group of musicians setting up as I was there at 10am the other day, so that's a big plus. This farmer's market has the feeling of a sweet neighborhood market that hasn't quite caught on yet - it's a few blocks off the gentrified path - but I am hoping it does. Go. Get some veg. It's a meeting place for the neighborhood, and it's across the street from Divan and one block from Sidecar, so refreshments are easily obtained after shopping.

I should have looked closer. There isn't a selection of organic things, they don't mention it so I assume they are not organic. Even if they said pesticide free it would be a great help, because I know it costs money to be certified organic. Because of that I will only be purchasing things with a thick rind, like melons and such. The baked goods are yummy for what they are but really white bread type things. I tried the whole wheat and it was "wonderbread" type whole wheat. Not fond of the swiss cheese, or the chocolate chip cookies. The sticky buns tasted good... but better buns are found elsewhere. The prices are not cheaper than the super market either, or even other farmer's markets, which was surprising. I found a better quality of produce at the South Street Supermarket the last week I attended this farmers market. So yes, its nice to have it there. But I will go to a store that has an organic option and breads with higher fiber counts. Other stores, farmer's markets and Reading Terminal are better bets for that. That said, if you live near the park, don't want to go far, and don't care about eating organic veggies you will love it. It's about location, location, location. The products are very much like that offered in a non-organic supermarket.

I was on the hunt for something called cheese for a gift. I was able to put in an order and come back the next day and pick it up. I wonderful to have such great service and such wonderful, delicious food items. I also picked up a chunk of goat cheese with cranberries and cinnamon... Because we're expecting a snowstorm and I wanted to have a nice cheese plate. Let me tell you that cheese was absolutely delicious so flavorful and wonderful wonderful . There was a Tea booth, and I picked up some Bengal tea which is my favorite . Wonderful service. Another delightful surprise was a Greek stand that had delicious sandwiches made with falafel and baba ghanoush . I got a baba ghanoush sandwich. I also bought some. Za'atar Man'oushe bread. What a thrill how flavorful and so exceedingly delicious. I am so happy with that purchase and I wish I lived just a little bit closer to the store so I can pick up this bread at least once a week !! Apparently, this is a common type of shopping venue here...and it's fantastic! There were many rows of vendors here, and all were pleasant! The first thing that really hit me (walking down every aisle), was the variety of vendors. Yes, there was some overlap, but overall, it was a very wide selection of food and merchandise....my wife even bought a purse here! The second thing I noticed was the high quality meat and produce. If I lived close by, this is where I would shop. You could tell the people that worked here took pride in their food, and there was a visible difference in how their customers reacted, trusted, and relied on the vendors for recommendations. We were able to sample a bunch of items, thankfully....and everything was good...but of all the items we tried here, the pretzel dog and draft Appalachian root beer was the best! So fun to visit...will be back for sure!

Checked out the East Falls Farmers Market for the first time yesterday. I was a little surprised to…read moresee there were about 10 vendors set up in a small parking lot. It seems you are allowed to park in the same parking lot as well. I did not bother paying for parking, as I didn't think the PPA will be coming around here and I was not expecting to stay long. It took me 15 minutes to check out all the vendors and I even left with a few things. There were two stalls selling a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. I bought 6 peaches for $5 and I've eaten two of them already. Rowhouse Spirits was also there! I decided to taste the gin and the Akvavit (distilled with anchovies and citrus), which I thought I would like. It was an acquired taste, but I am willing to give it another try next time. The gin was a top quality gin. Best gin I've ever had and went down so smoothly, I had to get a bottle. Of course I love Farmers' Market so I quickly looked to find parking to check out the scene. Its a small market, I saw about 8 stands selling fresh fruits and vegetables. There was also stands with bread and sweets- specifically a cinnamon roll stand that specialized in creative rolls such as peach cobbler, strawberry crunch and biscoff. Overall friendly people, good vibes and a nice place to check out on a Saturday morning.
