We've driven by it a few dozen times and it never caught our eye. The first thing I noticed were the jewelry counters! Jacob immediately knew we were in trouble, because I LOVE shiny things. They had a huge selection of vintage brooches, pins and other fine baubles. The floor space isn't very large but it's well-curated. There isn't "junk" here like so many antique shops tend to keep. Retro Image owns all of its items outright, which means more room for haggling! The prices seemed a little high, but again, we were able to negotiate a bit when it came time to check out AND the items were nice. In addition to all sorts of jewelry, they had an entire rack of vintage clothing in great shape, tons of leaded, bevel-edged glass panels, artwork, a basement bar set (!!), wooden furniture and branded memorabilia. The clerk, Chris, was incredibly kind and patient while showing me all different brooches behind the glass. He said their stock rotates constantly, so I'm looking forward to many more visits to Retro Image.
