I wish I could give zero stars. We hired James for 2 bathroom remodels and a floor install. It was…read moreoff to a rocky start when the dumpster company warned us he was on his own time schedule. He showed up at 1, 2 in the afternoon. We have two small kids and having to navigate dinner times and the day with all his supplies etc. He would never communicate. We wouldn't even know until we texted him to see what was going on all the while this dumpster we were paying for a certain amount of time sat in our driveway. He was very sloppy. He left cement and various other materials all over the driveway and side of the house. He subcontracted out the floors which are the only thing that has held up but proceeded to not put tarps down on the new floors while he worked on the bathroom. We are still finding spots of spackle he stepped on. The grout on the floor is cracking in the first bathroom he did. There is caulk all over the threshold marble. Lastly he has been back to fix the tile in the master bath shower twice. The grout keeps cracking and flaking off. We chose a patterned subway tile and he never even scattered the pattern. He put the same patterned tiles right next to each other. He started the tile from the top down which we have been told several times by other professionals that should not have been done that way. We contacted him a third time because it's happening again prior to the warranty expiring. Now he only wants to offer a 90 day warranty on his work. He does not stand by his work and has never apologized. I worked in the apartment industry for years and we still had bathrooms from the 50s with pink tile that stood the test of time. There is no reason that grout and tile if installed correctly should fail 3 times in under a year. At one point the tiles were falling off the wall and here we are again the grout is just falling off when water hits it. He blames the grout. Never his installation of the grout. He takes no responsibility for his workmanship. We paid a lot of money for a new bathroom and here we are a year later with shotty work and a contractor unwilling to stand by his workmanship. On top of all of this while he worked here he routinely took phone calls from his kids and screamed obscenities at them while in the house with myself and my children right there. Do not hire.

The crew worked quietly and showed their precision. you could tell the trio of workers showed skill and took extra time in securing plastic sheets around every area needing protection.
