Their pricing was very competitive, and the quality of work exceeded expectations. They did thorough prep work, including power washing the entire house along with scraping and sanding where needed. They also applied primer where appropriate and finished with two coats of Benjamin Moore paint, which really shows in the final result. They even took care of replacing damaged shingles, which was a huge plus. The crew was punctual, very pleasant, and paid great attention to detail. The company is amazing. They were flexible when I had to keep changing dates due to a delay in the closing of my new property. They did an excellent paint job and rushed to complete it in time for the furniture delivery date. They protected my personal items with care, and they cleaned up really well. I only gave 4 stars because I was not happy with the way I received the price quote. I was given the cost for the painting job that was separated into walls plus added cost if I also wanted the ceiling (I wasn't sure that I wanted both). I decided to paint the entire unit with the exclusion of the closets. I was informed that I would be paying for the cost of paint and supplies. I was OK with this. However, on the second day I was called and asked if I wanted the trims in my new home painted as well; that was extra money. I have used painters in the past and no one ever separated a bid into walls and then if I wanted, there was an additional cost for trims. The painters always gave me one price. I found this misleading. I had priced 3 companies and this company was the least expensive. After adding the cost for the trims, the price turned out to be just a few hundred dollars less than the most expensive bid I had received. I should have been properly quoted the cost of everything required. I would use them again because they did an amazing job, but I would be extremely clear on what was and was not included in the quoted price. read more

I found Albert & Sons through a Yelp search for painters / contractors and was able to enter the job specs directly in a Yelp form to specify the scope of the work I needed done. Since it was a last minute job, we were pressed with time and wanted to find a few estimates to compare prices. After I messaged A&S through Yelp, I received a response almost immediately from Paulo. Due to the current Covid situation, it was difficult for me to schedule separate in-person walk throughs for multiple contractors, so luckily I was able to send videos of the space directly to Paulo for an estimate. The estimate he provided for the job was very reasonable and very clear, and after I compared all the other options and those other businesses' reviews, it was obvious that A&S was the way to go since I wanted confirmation from other people's experiences. Despite my rushed timing, Paulo assured me that they would even work overtime just to get the paint job done for me by the date I needed. On the day of the paint job, the painters (Alberto & one of his sons) came right on time as scheduled, and were able to do another quick walk-through to make sure we were on the same page about the areas to be painted. They set out to work right away, and then they finished the job even sooner than I expected. They cleaned up afterwards and even took any trash with them. I am thoroughly impressed by A&S -- for their efficiency, professionalism, responsiveness, and their great follow-through. Any time I had a question, I was able to text or email Paulo and he answered me very quickly. I also felt very secure booking them knowing that Yelp verified their professional license, and also by the fact that they already had so many positive reviews. Three years ago, I tried to paint my deck because I thought it'd be a fun project. I thought wrong and I ended up doing a terrible job and recently my wife said "get that fixed and hire someone to paint it." I looked on Yelp and Albert & Sons Quality Painting was the first result that popped up, so I reached out to them. It was a Sunday and they called me within two hours. Two days later they performed an estimate and once I contracted them for the job, they came out and did an amazing job painting my deck. They were thorough and kind. Most of all, though, they were communicative and followed up. I'm not used to such good customer service, like it was insanely good customer service. I work in IT helping small businesses and I pride myself on getting back to my clients quickly. I have very high standards for what good customer service is and Albert & Sons far exceeded them. I plan on hiring them to paint my front door and my basement this fall. This experience was exceptional and they made me a customer for life. I'm going to refer them to everyone. TL;DR: Paulo and team are excellent to work with as they are responsive, hardworking and will work with you to stay within your budget. They are a family owned business that provides a great, high quality service. I recently purchased my first home and was looking to get nearly the entire first floor re-painted (living room, two bedrooms, hallway, and kitchen - walls, ceilings, trims, radiators and doors; bathroom - ceiling, trim, and radiator) as well as re-painting the cabinets in my 2nd floor unit. Paulo and his brother came by to take a look and were very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and even recommended a process called 'skim coating' for the living room. The estimate they provided was our of our range for a budget, but within an hour of sending their estimate, Paulo called me to get my thoughts about it. Paulo and his father Albert were flexible and we were able to get most of what I wanted on the first estimate for a reasonable price. They were also available to start the following day, which was a big positive as we were looking for it to be completed asap. Although Paulo or Albert weren't the ones completing the work, the team they had were all hardworking and nice. Me and my partner work from home and they weren't unreasonably noisy. They were always on time and their work day was typically 7:30am-3:00pm. The work started on a Tuesday and Paulo had initially stated they would be done on Friday, however, due to some set backs with the paint not trying as quickly as expected due to the cold weather they weren't able to finish on Friday. Paulo explained that typically they don't work on the weekends during the winter and that they would finish on Monday. We obviously weren't thrilled with that, but thankfully Paulo changed his mind and brought his team in on Saturday to wrap up the job so we wouldn't have the tarps/tape around our house over the weekend. Throughout this process Paulo would call me after each day to give me a progress update and ask if everything was going well with the workers or if we had any complaints. We were able to provide Paulo with any spots or areas we wanted to be touched up for the following day (or the same day) and he would relay that to the team (we also were able to tell the team themselves, but sometimes would not want to interrupt their process). The team never complained when we asked them to touch up places and were meticulous in their process. Our home looks amazing and the only reason I am not sharing pictures is because of privacy concerns. Would 100% recommend! read more

I was nervous hiring home improvement professionals without a personal recommendation. I've had bad experiences in the past and I was hiring these painters for someone else, and the expectations were high. Since I couldn't get a recommendation, I had no choice but to searched online. This is where I found Albert & Sons Quality Painting LLC (through Yelp). They had some really good reviews, so I took a chance. I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! From the minute they walked in to give me an estimate, I was impressed. Once I got their price, I decided to take the chance. These guys are FAIR, HONEST, BEYOND METICULOUS, ON TIME, KIND, and THEY COMMUNICATED every step of their progress, daily. I was never in the dark and they got the job done in the exact time they estimated. And when I say meticulous, I really mean it... not a drop or a dripping of paint to be found anywhere paint wasn't supposed to be. And not an area or spot was accidentally overlooked. I personally think these kinds of things are inevitable when you're painting such a large space with a few people but I've gone through each room with a fine tooth comb and haven't been able to find anything to complain about--and I've tried. It was incredible to me just how detailed they were. I would recommend these guys a million times over. They were amazing. And I now realize the value in writing online reviews. THIS COMPANY IS A BIG SCAM! STAY AWAY They came to my house to give me an estimate on interior painting for living room, dinning room, kitchen, trims and hallway. At first the estimate was too high for me, so I called them again to change it and I took off the list the kitchen and trims. They came again, and looked at the space again. There are two people who come. Alberto who speaks mostly Spanish and then another person with good English to translate. First, after they looked at everything and went through the details again, they gave me an estimate that was HIGHER than the previous one. I said how come it is higher since they are doing less work. They weren't expecting that. Then they offered to also install baseboard molding which I needed to get done so we came to a good price for the painting and baseboards. On the day before they came I was having issues with the home depot website to pay for the baseboards for store pick up. Then they first wanted to say they couldn't come because the baseboards wouldn't be there because they needed to be installed before painting. They must have thought they were speaking with a person with no experience, because I knew that the baseboards are the LAST thing to go. After I called them on their lie, I said I would resolve it with home depot. In the end I would have needed to go to the store to pay in person so I told them I would meet them there (they were driving the truck from the store to my house). Then, their issue was that they couldn't be at the store until an hour later, even though they had said they were on the way to my house half an hour before. LIARS! I should have known then. They then said they could pay for it and have me pay them. But since they were very late late, I had to leave the door open for them to come in and go into work. They were supposed to be in my house at 7:30am and they didn't get there until 9am. They called me later when they got there, got into the house, got their 50% deposit money that I had ingenuity left for them. Then they called again to say that the job they had agreed to IN WRITING was too much and THEY WANTED MORE MONEY to do it! Big SCAM! We went through every single details about what had to be done before not once but twice. They tried to say it was a communication issue, but what they don't know is that I speak fluent Spanish so I knew that everything was translated properly because I made sure of that. They charged me twice as much as what labor would cost them (which I know because I heard it) but I agreed to pay because it was still within my budget. I purchased all the material (paint and baseboard) so they only had labor costs to deal with. So now the house was supposed to be rented at the end of the week and I can't do it anymore because the tenant was expecting painting and baseboards to be there. And I will need to pay more to have someone come and do ASAP the work they had agreed to do IN WRITING. And instead of working, I will need to get new quotes all day. Please don't do it to yourself, don't trust them. I had to turn on my alarms and call the security company because I wasn't home when they did that. I am still afraid of what I will find when I get back. I am now trying to 1. warn anyone that I can so that this doesn't happen to them and 2. talking to the lawyers about legal actions I can take since I do have what they agreed to in writing. read more
