Billing practices are HORRIBLE. Went to this office twice - both times they came back afterwards and told me I had an unpaid balance six or so months afterwards. They either are not even trying to be accurate with their insurance estimates, or they are incompetent. They are also VERY aggressive about collecting. If you have no desire to see a dentist and end up getting nasty calls six months later, saying you owe them an extra $200 +, and as far as you know, the bill should have been paid according to the insurance estimate THEY gave - then give this office a pass. And when they do contact you, you have never even seen a bill until you are getting these calls - this is what happened to me TWICE. This practice is everything wrong with dentists. I will start off with DO NOT GO THERE. The work they do is just fine but the billing department is a giant scam. Had work done and paid the bill claiming what it would be. 3 months past and not a word was said until I went in for a cleaning. Claimed I owed almost $600 from the last visit. Refusing to give me original paperwork to show what they claimed insurance would pay out. Said I could not leave until balance was paid or a loan was in place. Refused to let me leave until I had a loan in place for past balance and potential additional work that was not performed yet. I called back 20 minutes later and said please cancell that I could potentially get a better loan. They said they would process. Days went by and I called and they said no they cant cancel a loan (even for work I had not had done yet) until I paid the phantom balance. Found quite a few people that this happened to. DO NOT GO HERE; this office is a scam and tried to get me to do a crown prep on a tooth that needs an implant. I questioned the dr about why I would do that if I needed an implant, and he said, "well, you're here, so we should get started." When I began to question, Dr. Meyers became short and condescending while aggressively taking off his gloves, saying it was my choice. I had been in the chair for an hour at this point just to be scammed and treated like an idiot. I have since gone to multiple dentists for a second opinion without any prior information; every dentist said I should not do a crown. With the help of my current dentist, I am filing a complaint with ADA and would like you to please get in touch with me if you have experienced anything unprofessional with this office. This is NOT a practice, this is a company, and they are only out for profit. They will not return my money and are begging us to come back. I will attach the email from Dr. Meyers ADMITTING he was in the wrong, yet they still need to refund our money and continue with shady practices. This office is overpriced and gaslights the customer into thinking they are getting a good deal. I've never been fond of visiting the dentist, and this is greatly due to my experiences of visiting the dentist as a child. Well, I recently decided to give this location a shot and the atmosphere, reception, staff, and experience was great! The reception staff are amazingly friendly and accommodating. They create a welcoming first impression and then, as I get to "the chair", the staff asked a few questions and made conversation to make the experience more enjoyable. The doctors and hygienists are very knowledgeable and everyone works so well together at this location! I've enjoyed my appointment with Dr. Myer, and my cleaning with Mindy went great! I came to this place only due to my insurance running out and wanted to get a cleaning before then and they were listed on my insurance. The Dental Hygienist and assistant did everything. The Dentist came in at the end and made his recommendations based on what the others had done, but he didn't do Anything! They just tacked on a fluoride treatment that the insurance does not cover without asking me or informing me of this. I'm 64-I don't care about Fluoride. Then after the Insurance paid, they sent me another bill for $50. I called my Insurance and they said that they don't cover the type of X-Rays they did until after the deductible which I never meet. I expected a dental office to know what is covered. So, I paid $100 to get my FREE teeth cleaning. I called to tell them I was unhappy with this and they said they cannot know what an insurance will pay. So, fine. My family and I have been patients here for over 15 years. Recently, I went in for a cleaning and was lectured by the Dentist for nearly 10 minutes on the appearance of my teeth. The dentist started by asking me if I drank coffee, to which I replied "yes" and he responded with "I can tell." He then proceeded to explain to me that because my skin complexion is fair, my yellow teeth stand out and it would be a good idea for me to consider teeth whitening. As I walked to the front desk a hygienist was already bringing the kit up to the front desk, and they pressured me into purchasing their Opalescence Go tooth whitening kit for a whopping $80 dollars. Even after inquiring about other options they insisted this was the best option. I bought the kit with the assumption that I would be able to return it, as it was not stated or posted anywhere that this was a NON-refundable purchase. A few days later I realized Crest Tooth Whitening kits work just fine and are much more affordable, so I called the office to see how I would go about returning the Opalescence Go kit. I was told that the kits were non-refundable due to policy. I explained that this "policy" was not explained when I purchased the kit and that I would like to speak to a manager. I was then transferred to someone who stated they would get in touch with their general manager and she would get back to me. I waited an entire week and then called the office again to inquire about getting a refund. Keep in mind that the kit was unopened and undamaged. I then spoke to a different manager, Carl, who explained their "policy" once again. I then asked to speak to his manager and I was transferred to a voicemail - I left a brief message asking to be called back. I did not hear back from anyone so I called again the next day only to get an answering service stating that the office was closed and would be open again Monday morning. I called back (Tuesday) and spoke again with Carl who stated that he has spoken to his general manager and the owner and there is nothing they can do for me and will not be taking the product back or issuing a refund or applying a credit to my chart simply because "that is the policy" and "you cannot return medical equipment." This is simply untrue, as I work in the medical field and know that according to Human and Health services (hhs.gov) medical equipment may be returned if: the package is unopened, undamaged, and has at least 12 months remaining expiration. I asked Carl why I was not told the purchase was non-refundable at the time of purchase to which he replied "it is impossible to tell every patient about non-refundable purchases." even though it is Utah state law that businesses explicitly state or display their policy BEFORE a purchase is made, otherwise the consumer is entitled to a refund. I also asked why it has taken almost 2 full weeks to hear that discussions have been had but I have not been contacted to which he replied "we are busy." Overall my experience with this situation has made me feel cheated out of a significant amount of money and this office and their "managers" have displayed an unwillingness to work with patients and provide adequate information regarding services offered. The only reason my family might stay with the clinic as patients is because of Dr. Meyer who has always been great. I hope others will head my warning and DO NOT let them pressure sell you unnecessary products/treatments without disclosing crucial information. read more

I love them! I recently moved to Utah, and needed to schedule a cleaning, but didn't know where to start. I went to another dental office, Stonehaven, and had their free xrays & evaluation. They told me that I had 3 new cavities, and needed a full mouth deep cleaning. I questioned this, since I had my last cleaning 6 months ago in Seattle, so I decided to try another office's free offer, and went to Professional Dental. They said that I had no new cavities, and that I would benefit from a deep cleaning on one section of my mouth, but didn't really need it on my whole mouth, and that I would be charged accordingly. I've since had my cleaning, which caused zero trauma or pain! The dental hygienist, Mindy, is wonderful. She gets my humor, and was very sincere about wanting to save my tooth. Dr. Jensen is very kind, and assured me that he wouldn't try to pressure me to do anything (re-do old fillings that Stonehaven also was pressuring me to do) until/unless I want to. I'm quite positive that the only positive notes are from employees wanting to retain their positions. As a customer who has fully paid for braces for a child I have had nothing but scheduling nightmares and conflicts. My current example is the fact that my wife had to waste her break calling to locate my daughter's surgical appointment. Unfortunately the receptionist was unable to locate it. While working I received 3 separate missed calls to my phone instead of my wife's with 3 separate voice mails. I was forced to use my break to address their incompetence. Once I was home and able to attempt contacting them their voice mail was full and after checking the multiple voicemails I discovered the original appointment I scheduled at 10:00 am 10/25/2019 was ready, but unfortunately the unacceptable appointment of 2:30 pm was also set. This is just the most inconvenient aspect of their incompetence I have had to pay for this companies inappropriate scheduling of appointments in incorrect cities and in 2 occasions had to pay for a cancellation fee due to their stupidity. Thank all of you who have listened enough to find a better solution, and if I hadn't paid my full debt for my daughter's braces I would have selected anyone else. read more

Unfortunately, I had to give one star......... Hated the whole experience. We switched dental insurance and this was literally the only choice. I had my teeth cleaned and a filling replaced. The assistant complained about another employee for the duration of my appointment. I had billing issues so I had to make contact again with the office. Good luck finding anybody that understands the billing and insurance claims. Anyway to make a long story short finally settled my bill with them after several calls to them and my insurance. Almost four months later I get another bill from them with finance charges and additional charges. One of my kids they didn't even make the correct claim to the correct insurance company. Of course they are not going to pay because we are not insured through them. Again I'm back on the phone trying to talk to anybody who can possible fix my problem.
