Wedding 12/16/23 in The Avalon Room, Industry Hills Expo Center. We received so many compliments from our guests about Joe and we are very grateful we hired him. We had such a great time at our wedding reception and a lot of it had to do with Joe's organization and DJ'ing. We initially chose him because of his good reviews on Yelp and he definitely lived up to the expectations. He uses online software to organize the itinerary which we found very helpful to stay on track and know what to expect next. His online software allowed us to create a playlist of up to 75 songs which I had filled up. I would guess he played 90-95% of the playlist and played songs the guests requested. My playlist did lack cumbias but Joe is very knowledgeable about music and played many songs for the Spanish-speaking side of the family. I recommend using his service and adding as many songs as you think you and your guests would enjoy. This makes it easier for Joe to play songs and keep the dance floor busy. Joe has awesome DJing skills. He mixed songs very smoothly and transitioned through different genres of music without losing the beat/rhythm. He is definitely a leader. He knows how to keep the party flowing and get the guests involved. He even got my mother to stand up and speak which I wouldn't have thought she would do since she's such a nervous person. A funny thing was on our way to the venue none of our family members were answering our calls so we tried Joe and he answered! We recently hired Joe for our daughter's Quinceanera. His attitude was pleasant; however, he was either overly tired or unattentive to our event. A music schedule and timeine of events was turned a month in advance and he messed during the most special parts of our event. He missprounounced the kids in my daughter's court names when individually announced. Most importantly he played a whole different song for grandfather dance causing an embarrassment in front of all of our 200 guests and grandpa had to dance again after Joe corrected his mistake. The songs played for the surprise dance were off beat causing the kids to panic as well. Secondly, I specifically requested and paid $250 for low fog to make my the Quinceanera Walz and family dances extra special. Joe informed me that he turned on the machine three times; however, due to the main doors being opened, it diminished the fog. This lie is what really upset me and left me questioning his professionalism. The entry doors to the ballroom were about 300ft away from the dance floor and this was just a poor excuse. I asked for my refund of $250 and he only returned $100. I'm leaving a two star as his wife and daughter did a great job with the photo booth and overall his DJ setup was nice. If you hire him, make sure that he is well rested and make him go over your timeline for name and song accuracy. read more

Extras: I was very hesitant on getting the Photo Booth but I am 10000000% glad I did. Not only were the pictures crisp and clear. But my guest got 2 copies, quality props, I had a custom frame (that they did a beautiful design), and to top it off I got a USB at the end of the night with all my guest pictures! I had so many guest come up to me and ask who did my Photo Booth because they were so nice and they wanted it for there events. *Also side note the ladies who work the Photo Booth are DJ Joe's wife and daughter. Earlier before the ceremony my florist didn't set up my centerpieces correctly and I was freaking out, his wife and daughter saw me and my bridal party freaking out and they did not hesitate and sprung into action to help fix the centerpieces, I will never forget that and how much I appreciated that. Joe is THE BEST! I hired Joe for my wedding in early July of 2015. When we met with Joe we were instantly impressed with his professionalism and charisma. He showed us examples of the type of booth he would bring and the type of lights he could bring.
