Beautiful Waterford office. Knowledgable staff with an exceptional receptionist named Mariah. Dr. Janicek seems great and two root canals have gone smooth so far, although it'd be too early to see any issues. As for the work itself, really only another DMD can comment. Reason for the loss of two stars are their billing practices. First root canal is $1,800 which turns into ~$800 for the in-network insurance negotiated fee. Insurance covers 80%, so less than $200 out of pocket. By the second root canal my $1,500 annual benefit is exhausted. That's fine, should be $800 out of pocket. But now the office refuses to honor the in-network fee. Now I'm being billed as if I have no insurance at all. I've confirmed with my regular dentist that they "of course still honor your in-network fee. That's the cost we've agreed to charge our clients." Not at Pro-Endo. Beware. read more

My dentist referred me to Milos R. Janicek for a root canal and Apicoectomy surgery to repair an old tooth.  I'm 93 years, on a walker, and deathly afraid of painful dental work. When I arrived for the procedure I was led into an operatory and helped into the chair.  When Milos arrived he leaned the chair back at such an extreme angle that I was uncomfortable and in severe discomfort, as I have had numerous spine surgeries.  Due to the painful position that I was placed into, I politely asked Janick if he could give me a pillow to provide additional support behind my head.  Every dentist that I have ever been to has pillows and other items to try and make their patients as comfortable as possible. His reply to my request was that he doesn't provide pillows for support.  I then asked if he could roll a few towels to provide additional support for my neck. His reply was, and I quote, "No, we don't provide towels either, you don't have to be here if you don't want the procedure, and there's the door if you don't want to continue with the procedure". I've been sitting on this for a few months and found someone to help me just so that I could leave this review.  Milos Janicek's total disregard for the comfort and well-being of an elderly patient is disgusting.  He was rude, uncaring and my personal opinion is that he has no empathy for his patients, particularly the elderly,  and that his sole reason for being in this profession, based on his uncaring attitude,  is for financial reward. For decades, the word "Root Canal" has evoked fear in most of us.  Now we all know why! read more

I had had one root canal prior to needing this one, and based on that experience was dreading needing another. I saw Dr. Nelson, and he is a gem! He was very clear in explaining my options and patient in answering my questions. By the time I decided to stick with the root canal as opposed to extraction, I felt reassured, safe and relaxed. He is clearly highly skilled and knowledgeable and worked quickly and painlessly. The staff is friendly and efficient. I'm delighted that I ended up at this practice and will return if I need an endodontist. read more

I would almost rather die than have to go to any sort of dental professional, but Dr. Janicek is THE best of the best....probably better than the best....there is no way I would go anywhere else- I fly in from Chicago when I have dental needs. I have been to other endodontists in the area, and this place just makes you feel so much more at ease....4 molars up!!!! read more

Dr. Janicek is intelligent, professional, and knows exactly what he is doing. He will explain what he is doing as well, and why it is necessary, rather than just leaving you wondering what is going on. The prospect of a root canal can be intimidating to some, but he is very gentle and friendly and a nice guy on top of being good at his job, which puts you at ease. My experience from start to finish with Professional Endodontics was great. Scheduling an appointment was fast and convenient with 2 offices I was able to select which one was closest to me!The office staff was friendly and professional they walked me through my costs and explained their policies perfectly. Dr. Janicek was very professional and really took the time to make sure that I was comfortable and understood the ins and outs of the procedure.
