I reached out to Richard's Photography via phone and spoke with Patty. She was very friendly and answered all of my questions, so I decided to go ahead ahead and schedule a photo-shoot for the following week. Patty text messaged a reminder two days before the actual photo-shoot, and again two hours prior to the scheduled time. I arrived a little early to their home studio and Richard/Patty greeted me. The photo room is fairly plain and simple, nothing grandeur about the setup. Don't let the straightforward setup fool you though, Richard knows his stuff. Each time he took a photo, he guided me to slightly change my stance and pose. He took about 33 photos and went straight to his computer office to upload them. Each photo came out Perfect. The whole photo-shoot and upload/selection process was about 20 minutes. Richard is able to re-touch a photo if necessary and emails you them right after the photo-shoot. They seem like a genuine, sincere couple and were very hospitable. No issues whatsoever with the experience and Richard's Photography. I would definitely come back if I'm in the San Antonio area again and needed photography services.

I love taking pictures of food but when I'm the subject - the awkward glutton comes out. So, at my friend's insistence (and promise of brunch at the Pearl), I decided to join her for a morning photo shoot. I was nervous but, seeing my friend's pictures on Facebook helped me overcome any reservations about Angelica and Keith at Authentic Joy. We took photos very early in the morning around the Pearl and inside Hotel Emma. The early morning light coupled with Angelica's skills made us all look like models! Angelica and Keith worked with us to help us be as natural as possible. After shooting for awhile, I became way more comfortable, mostly in part because of Keith and and Angelica. Angelica has such a warm and engaging personality. She made us feel at ease with her silliness. She and Keith took into consideration our vision and thoughts, while giving us inspiration on what to do next. I don't know about you guys but I just want to stand around. Posing is hard! But Angelica managed to make me a convincing guest at the swanky Hotel Emma in our photos. After a few days, Angelica already edited and posted the pictures for us to preview. I'm so pleased with how our pictures turned out! I've also gotten a ton of compliments on how natural and elegant we looked in all the photos. Angelica and Keith have done weddings, quinceañeras, and family photos as well. Although they are a fledgling, local business, they have a gift for taking beautiful pictures that only many years of experience can rival. I can't wait to book them for future occasions!

However, when we asked Jackie if she was up to the task, she jumped on it! Jackie and I became friends a few years back while working in Hawaii on a cruise ship. Also, fun tip, she was the one that got Jason and I together. I was so grateful that she still agreed to photograph our COVID wedding since there was traveling involved. Even though our wedding was very different from what we originally planned her attention to detail and flexibility made everything so stress free. Of course, I was running late so everything got pushed back but she was able to work with that too!
