First of all, my husband (then fiance) and I booked when Alamo Photographic when they were under old management/ ownership, and had an absolutely terrible experience. After the initial consultation (with a photographer who, unfortunately, quit prior to our wedding), including on our wedding day, the remaining photographer was amateurish, unresponsive, and entirely unprofessional (I won't go into detail). Two years passed after our wedding, and we still hadn't received a number of the products we were owed. We were literally days from suing Alamo Photographic for breach of contract, when we reached out one last time and finally connected. In came Frank and Cat Solis, the fantastic new owners of Alamo Photographic. Apparently, the previous owner sold the business suddenly and moved to Europe, leaving them in the lurch with a number of dissatisfied clients. Since then, Frank and Cat have worked tirelessly to improve the name and image of the business, as well as relationships with the previous owner's clients. They worked with me and my husband to create an even more beautiful wedding album and package than we would've gotten with our original photographer, and we are extremely satisfied with the result. They are always available, and return phone calls and emails promptly. We received our wedding album (and my parents and in-laws received their albums) right before Christmas last year, and they could not be more perfect. The layout and content are contemporary and clean, and tell the story of my wedding day exactly as I'd envisioned. They are exactly what I wanted, and what I am sure I never would've gotten with the previous owner. I cannot speak to their photography as they were not present for our wedding, but if it is anything like their customer service and professionalism, they are the picture of excellence, and I highly recommend them. They have an online blog where you can see lots of information about bridal tips, wedding timelines . Also, their impressive blog is my favorite thing to peruse, at as I sip my morning latte! Vladimir and Mark are worth every penny you'll spend. When it came to the wedding day, I cannot say enough amazing things about how special they made the big day. They were totally professional, and arrived on time. They made the long process of taking family portraits so enjoyable and fun. Most of my friends and family said that our photographers were ninja-like. They captured all the important moments of the day without being at all intrusive. Every single picture of our wedding turned out beautifully...we still can't even begin to pick "favorites". They're all incredible. I'm glad that I will have these wedding pictures to look at for the rest of my life- its like looking at fine art masterpieces. Lots of people have said our pictures looked like they were out of magazines! All of our family and friends were blown away with the photos, they were all magical. Vladimir and Mark are experts when it comes to the perfect lighting, color, angles, and retouching for the most amazing shots. Vladimir and Mark are not only great technicians, but have good personalities, innovation, creativity, and are always keeping on top of the latest photography trends. I tried going with another photographer initially, and was referred to Lisa. Once I looked at her portfolio, I knew SHE was the ONE. Our engagement session in Gruene was sort of odd...when we got to Gruene, our car broke down, so all we were thinking about during the session was "omg, how are we getting home, how do we get the car towed, what the HELL?!" Through all of this, she managed to get some amazing photos of us...she definitely brought out the inner feelings we have and captured it in some amazing fall evening light that just took my breath away. I didn't even know where to tell her I wanted to have the photos taken - just sort of what I was looking for, and it was her idea to head to Gruene. She even got a couple shots inside the dance hall!! Our wedding photos...and I've only gotten a sneak peek at those - they aren't even all ready yet! - unbelievable. She moved around like a ninja...one shot she took she clearly had to be behind the judge, who was obviously in front of us - and no one remembered her being there!! Skills of a true professional. Being there, being everywhere, and yet, being nowhere!! I am an amateur photographer (and FAR more amateur after seeing what she does!!), and I just can't wrap my head around how she does what she does.
