On my last visit September 3, 2021, I was informed I'd reached "maximum medical improvement". My diagnosis was a partial rotator cuff tear in my dominant arm. This injury left me unable to take off my own bra, my goal be able to take of my bra in the same manner as prior to the injury. Dr. Rieber informed me that even if I got a second opinion via my workers comp, the result would be the same termination of my physical therapy due to "Maximum Medical Improvement (MMI)". As he said to me "I've been a nice guy the second opinion doctor is not going to be. Do you know how much has been paid for your physical therapy?" My workers comp representative couldn't have been happier to terminate my physical therapy. I had severals session left and she immediately terminated my physical therapy. Despite his belief of that I had reached "MMI", I continued as a self paying patient with my physical therapy and on November 1, 2021 I was able to reach my goal.

I am always the last patient. Did he discriminate me? And he skipped for a few times yet he did not forget to charge me fully for what he did not do. Therefore I have made little progress while I made him profit of about 30 patients money-wise in 8 months. A true bad apple is in a very good company. Surgery went extremely well and he told me they found that the meniscus was intact but out of place. Post-op, Dr. Lee and his staff have been so helpful. I also want to highlight their nurse, Dawn. I called Dawn a million times a week between getting paperwork done for work, reiteration if doctor's orders, or anything in between. I met for a consultation with Beverly & immediately noticed her professionalism, kindness & real interest in my case. She listened to my full history, asked questions & even consulted with some of her colleagues before creating a treatment plan for my specific issues. We have nothing but praise for Dr. Ferraz and his team. His office is ridiculously busy on most days. You can call for an appointment when they open at noon, but everything feels like it operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Your appointment is a guess of when things might be less busy. If your situation is not extremely urgent, your best bet is to call, ask for the latest available appointment, and drop by then. I relocated to California. I still see my dentist in Newark (Dr. Gultz), since I visit home roughly every 6 months. I really wish I could do the same with Dr. Ferraz, but -- for better or worse -- illness doesn't come on a regular schedule!
