The reason I was motivated to register with Professional Staffing Group is because each and every day the put a whole bunch of job postings on Craigslist that match my experience. Boston is out of my way, but I figured it would be worth the trip in to register with them since they apparently get all the job opportunities. I was wrong. After registering, I came to find out that the job opportunities that they put on Craigslist are not actual job opportunities, but instead they are descriptions of jobs they've had in the past. It's very misleading because the postings they put on Craigslist have you believe that the job is current and they are actively trying to fill it as soon as possible. I spoke with a rep about 2 weeks after I registered and she told me that they knowingly put old and misleading job descriptions on Craigslist in order to get people to register with them. She admitted that the jobs on there are not actually current jobs, but just jobs they've filled in the past which they use to try and find new registrants who could potentially fill any jobs they receive in the future. I expressed my concern to her about how they are clearly misleading. The job descriptions mention things like "this job needs to be filled asap" and "they are working on a job for one of their top clients". I feel that PSG has wasted my time by getting me to come in and register with them. It's apparent that they are evaluated on how many people they can register, not how many jobs they fill. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time responding to the job postings they have on Craigslist. You'll only be left disappointed. read more

I'm a recent college grad. I had an interview scheduled with them for an entry-level staffing job. I showed up 10 minutes early and they didn't have my name on their schedule. The receptionist asked me repeatedly whether or not I had the right date and time. I knew then that this was not a company I wanted to work for; I promptly left and went home. As I was leaving, the receptionist assured me that my name actually was on the schedule, just spelled wrong. This was clearly untrue. Avoid these guys. I went to them in March because I had luck with them back in 2006 finding a position right off the bat. Unfortunately, that PSG is long gone. The person who interviewed me was a twentysomething airhead who passed me off on another employee who tried to get me to take a $10/hr insurance cold call position. After that, despite being the one in charge of finding me work, I didn't hear back from her or PSG until I got a request to fill out a survey. I told them the truth, and someone else from PSG suddenly took an interest in me. That lasted about a day. After a phone call to try and have me change my tune, I never heard back from this woman either. Bottom line: avoid them and Office Team, especially if you're over 30. Apparently, we're the bottom rung of society as far as these idiots are concerned. read more

I came to PSG late in my two-month job hunt, after hearing about the extensive preparation that a fellow temp received. On his recommendation I sent my resume in to PSG, they called me back, and soon I was meeting with Elizabeth (different from Liz). We had a very pleasant initial meeting during which she described the approach that PSG takes to placing candidates, an offer they have for candidates to get paid for looking for work (in their office), and she asked questions about my resume in order to get a better handle on what my history and values are. Within a week I had received four job descriptions (and asked to be submitted for all but one), and a successful interview. This is a better return than I had with other staffing agencies with whom I had been working for a month! PSG puts a lot of effort into placing folks. They call you in order to check up on your status, they have a ton of people working to place candidates, and a lot of jobs that come in and get filled very quickly. Highly recommended. read more

Like most have stated, I wish that I could give them zero starts. They were a joke of a company. They did not help one bit. I met with several people the day the I "Interviewed" at the company who all said that they had opportunities for me. Everything that they offered me that day I was more then qualified for. I have a degree and multiple years of experience. I never received any phone calls in regards to the positions that they said they had. The only calls I would receive would be once a week from some random person just checking in making sure that I am applying to places on my own. I thought this was suppose to be a staffing firm. Arent they suppose to be getting me a job? The whole place was such a a scam and a sham of a company. Despite the negative reviews, I contacted PSG hoping for a temp position that would give me a few months to find something permanent on my own. It should be noted I have never used an agency like this before. However, in my experience, everyone was fantastic. A day after I emailed them my resume, I called to check in and spoke with Jessica. She was very courteous and said while my resume hadn't been fully processed, if i sent it to her personally she would get the job done. So I did and she pulled through. I was scheduled to come in to the physical location a few days later. Once there, I did encounter the hiccup where they wanted two forms of ID when emails had indicated my driver's license would be enough. This did not stop me from continuing with the interview process, but was a moment of odd miscommunication. As soon as I had the paperwork filled out, I was set up to speak with Justin. Very down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and willing to work with me. Within a week he sent me to an interview with a company offering a permanent full-time position (I told him I wasn't interested in short-term temp, but was open to 3+ months). Justin gave me a good amount of prep work via email, all of it extremely useful. He called me the Friday before the interview, the day of the interview, and the day after. Great communication and lots of pointers. I think with PSG it may all depend on who they have helping you, but I was very fortunate to have Jessica and Justin's assistance. I'd definitely recommend them and PSG as a whole based purely on my experience with it. read more

I asked them to stop calling every day and they still do it and they are rude telling me to transfer them to other managers here to see if they can solicit more business. As an employer, I also had a horrible experience with this company. Frankly, I was more than disappointed by their lack of service. They promised me the world in terms of what they could provide and for what price. We reviewed the details and agreed it could be done. On the day the temp was to start working, they told me to forget it. Their promises caused me to stop looking at other temp agencies and therefore, left me in the lurch for a temp. Now my project is delayed. If I could leave a lower rating, I would. I do not recommend. We actually have quite a bit of work, so they lost much more than one job. read more

I agree with all folks who submitted one star: those guys at PSG cannot find any jobs; if they can, it's totally not in my field and the pay is like $10, 12/hour! My friend went to them as well and got nothing. I wasted almost 3 hours of my time with no results at all. My recruiter told me she will call me every week to see how is my job search coming along! What? My friends are doing that already! They were all very nice and friendly but they have no jobs, at least not for me or my friend. Waste of time! read more

Funny story. I had an assignment end with them (and that was fine, not their fault). A few weeks later I get a call from them, asking me to come down and sign up with them. I went to PSG as I thought it was a big firm considering the locations and at the interview all I heard was big talk about their achievements. Since the day I went to meet a recruiter I haven't heard anything especially after the person mentioned that I had a great profile and getting me something wouldnt be a challenge. Since then all I have heard is talk for the last 3 months and followups were poor. Calls were fixed at particular times and never honored. I find this agency very unprofessional. Would not recommend it to anyone. I just felt that they were completely yanking my chain !!! read more

Short Version: This company is very predatory. Exhaust all other options before you turn to them. They advertise 'temp-to-hire' positions, and although this is technically true, it is very rare, and a very difficult process. There are better temp services in Boston. I'm not just saying this because I got the shaft (albeit, that is part of it), but because I want people to know what they're getting into, so that they don't have the same awful experience that I did. Long Version: My initial representative at least seemed like a decent person, but she left soon after I began my first assignment, and then I was assigned someone who is basically a soulless husk of a person. You can't believe anything he says. He is highly manipulative, and deliberately misleads. Perhaps that is company policy, though. I don't want to focus too much on one person, when it is the conditions of their jobs that force this sort of behavior. They do find alright jobs for you, but you will be paid much lower than the position would actually pay, and do the same work, if not more (some companies exploit temp labor because there are no consequences, and you have no recourse if you are unhappy). The company you work for might tell you they'll consider hiring you, but this is also a ruse you should not believe; it is a strategy to squeeze more from you. VERY IMPORTANT: They advertise 'temp-to-hire' positions, and although this is technically true, it is very rare, and a very difficult process. The company you are temping for must pay an exorbitant fee, in addition to the fees they are already paying, to hire you; additionally, they will take a percentage of your wages for 6 months or so. If you want to by-pass this process, the company is contractually obligated to wait about 6 months before they hire you to that position. They are not going to tell you this, but you can read it in the fine print (actually, I still haven't been able to find where the employer's contractual obligations are written, and I'm not sure if they will let you see them). I had to hear about these technical aspects of PSG's 'temp-to-hire' process from a supervisor at the company I temped for, and this was toward the end of my assignment, after she told me some time toward the beginning of my assignment that my chances of getting the position were favorable. (Again, it was a strategy to squeeze more work from me, and, in the end, the fees were given as an excuse not to hire me; I had to push and push for her to give me an idea about what was going to happen.) I've worked enough jobs to know when it's my performance that is at issue, when the problem is solely the business I'm working for, or when it's both. This time around, it was a little of both, but my morale dropped through the floor after I realized I was being played by both PSG and the company I temped for. I can admit now that I was being somewhat naive when I first interviewed with them, but I had just moved to the area, and I was just happy to find some work. When I first started, I didn't necessarily want to be hired to a permanent position, but sometimes the prospect of health insurance and dependable income is tempting. All of this said, you might get some experience that is otherwise difficult to find--just remember the price you will have to pay. Some temp services are probably worse, but I know there are better ones than PSG, even in the Boston area. PSG doesn't care about you. Don't expect them to care. The company you will temp for probably won't care about you, either, in the end. read more

This is the worst staffing firm. They put fake posting up to get you to come to their office. They make you wait, complete a profile application, you sit with someone and they tell you they will help you. But they never call back. I had two experiences with them one in 2015 when to their office, sat with someone they never call me back. I called and email this person but they never called me. I decided to give them another shot when I applied what seem to be a legit posting but it turned out to be them. They asked me to come in I said you should have my info already since I already when to the application process with you. They said ok we can set up a phone interview - no one called me back. When I reach out to say that no one called me and that I waited for their called I was told that they had any that my vm perhaps was full something that is completely false. So I told them thank you for your time but I am not longer interested. I do not recommend this agency to any one they are a waste of time. read more

I am writing from the perspective of a potential employer. I work at a small center within a large university. We are not looking to hire anyone, nor do we have the space or funds to do so. A couple of years ago, we received a call from PSG offering the services of one of their job seekers for a day free of charge. We accepted under the pretense that we would in no way be hiring this person or anyone else in the near or distant future. The person came for the day, did some work and that was that. A few months later and ever since, everyone from PSG and their uncle has been calling us making the same offer. My colleagues and I sit right on top of each other and can hear each others conversations. Time and time again, we have each told these people to stop calling us as we will never take them up on their offer and have no intention to employ anyone. Yet, they continuously phone and try to weasel their way in by lying about conversations they've allegedly had with the people that sit right on top of me! This company seems sleazy and even if we were looking to hire someone I would avoid them based on their tactics and the far too many interactions I've had with them. read more

When your new they are great but after an accident prevented me from working and I contacted them to let them know I was clear to work they were horrible. After accidentally replying to one of their ads again when I was told I was already consideration for everything they told I had to come in and start from scratch. I can not in good conscience recommend PSG. I was looking at their website on 25 March 2015 and a gentleman by the name of Jim sent me a message asking if he could help. After chatting he suggested I submit my resume; which I did. The very next day 26 March 2015 I received a call from Jed, he was very pleasant and professional and after our discussion he agreed I should be looking for senior roles and felt that I could benefit from a discussion with the HR staffing specialist. He invited me into interview with the HR specialist. All good so far. I replied to his email on 26 March 2015 as one of the links about paperwork I needed to bring was not working and I enquired whether or not my passport with my work authorization documents in it would be fine. I received no response. I arrived for my interview on 27 March 2015 and was pleasantly greeted by PSG staff in Boston. Which I thought was rather positive, welcoming and pleasant. I was then directed to complete a variety of policy documents online which is fine and understandable. After which I was handed a further pile of paperwork to complete. While completing the paperwork, one of the ladies asked for my work authorization and I showed her my I-551 (green card). She was unsure of this, spoke with her colleague and then told me I needed to come back to show work authorization and to recomplete the form that I had already completed. Surely recruiters at PSG agents should be aware of what documents give work authorization? I met with Nicole. It was apparent she hadn't read my resume, only printed out page 1 of the resume and was surprised when I asked where the whole resume was. Poor preparation. She was a mismatch as she is the admin recruiter and not an HR recruiter as promised. Nicole introduced me to a number of other agents (Rachel, Lissa, Shana) and was told after spending significant time at PSG completing paperwork, interviewing and meeting agents that she had no roles for me. She had agreed to set up an info interview with an employer. There was a complete lack of follow up, making empty promises and wasting my time. I also met with Lissa, the HR recruiter, it was clear that she had no idea about my background, was told that I would not be interested in a senior role and said that she had a very junior recruiting role. I expressed concerns that while I would look at the job details that I felt it wasn't a good fit for my current senior level or career goals. At this point, Lissa ended the conversation and walked away! Lissa emailed me the junior role JD, and I let her know that it was too junior and did not fit with my career goals. I never heard back from her about opportunities. When I got home on 27 March 2015, I wrote to thank all the agents that I met. I heard back from Nicole, Rachel and Lissa. Shana did not even bother to reply and seemed disinterested during our initial conversation in the office. I followed up with Nicole on 30 March 2015 by email where I sent her a shorter and more focused resume and my new telephone number which I stated was on the resume and requested that she update the PSG system. Nicole contacted me a couple of times on the old number after I had given her my new number -clearly showing that she had not read the email or update the system. After hearing that Nicole had called the old number a number of times, I emailed her again on 23 April, that I had again attached my updated resume and my number had changed. On 24 April 2015 she replied by email saying she would update the PSG system, (now almost a month after initially emailing her about the resume/new number). In the same email Nicole asked if I was available to chat later that day, which I replied I was able to chat. She did not respond nor did she call or follow up. I received a call/message from Nicole on 1 May and replied when I got back from a week away on 4 May 2015. Nicole left me a message back on 5 May. On their application I was asked whether or not I wanted help with my resume or with advice on interviewing, I selected both being open to see what PSG could offer. I never heard back on either accounts. Why bother asking if an organization is not going to follow up? This is not ethical, personalized and responsible recruiting. I requested that they remove me as a candidate from their lists. I raised concerns to senior management and requested to take me off their lists. A week later I received a further email from the very manager I had written to, with him asking me for feedback about my experience. Clearly showing he had not even bothered to review the original complaint/feedback. I had a conversation with a senior manager who agreed that PSG staff should have been more transparent about not being able to help and not have wasted my time as a senior professional and apologized for the combination of difficulties experienced. read more

Unfortunately, my age was 21 and my education not yet complete -which was why I was going to an {expletive} staffing agency in the first place. I met with Andrew initially for temp to perm/perm work. He had mentioned during our meeting that I would be the one taking whatever job I was contacted about, not him, and to let him know if I really didn't want it (not just to take it to take it). I liked how it sounded cause it's true. These temp places don't seem to get that sometimes. The next day or two I got a call from Pat who is a college of his. Pat mentioned this job for a college. Before the interview I was told that I would be expected to work for a day on a trial basis. I found this odd, but made sense to see if I would work out for college and if I felt it would be a good fit for me. I went and wasn't interested after meeting with them. I contacted Pat immediately after and he seemed baffled as to why I wasn't taking the job. I told him that I didn't really have any interest in it and thanked if for telling me about it, but it wasn't a good fit for me. He could not seem to get it through his head. I had a funny feeling about Pat and made sure to contact Andrew again and let him know (through voicemail) that I took his advice and didn't want the job and hoped to hear from them again regarding other positions in the future. I did get constant emails from Pat wanting me to put in my hours worked.....I was there for an hour and a half.....why would I bother putting in that for taxes? After stating this back in an email I never heard from anyone from PSG for a month. Randomly I got a voicemail from an Amanda telling me that she was calling to check in and would be "another point of contact" for me. I called back and she said she didn't have any jobs and laughed when she said that she had one earlier, but it was taken. She then proceeded to be more interested in finding out if I contacted any other agencies and what the names were than finding me a job. I then told her that I hadn't heard from Pat or Andrew and explained the above to her. I also mentioned that I had to take a part time job in retail and I really didn't want it, but didn't have a choice. The next day I got a call from a Jason and he told me that he "heard" that I had a part time job and that he had another part time job and to give him a call. I was FURIOUS. I hadn't heard from these people for a moth after simply not taking a position from them and some other person calls and I explain how I DON'T want part time work but had to accept a job to then get a call from them with MORE part time work....wow talk about not listening! I then got hounded with phone calls from Amanda and even Andrew who I hadn't talked to since the initial interview. I even was getting emails asking me to rate my experience. It was really aggravating to get phone calls about "checking in with me", rather than calling me with an actual position, which is all I wanted. I know people complain about not getting enough contact with these places, but I was getting way too much contact suddenly and no actual interviews. There are so many people dealing with the same applicants that no one knows what the other is doing and it turned into harassment rather than a damn job. This place was waste of time and I would never recommend them to anyone. I checked the reviews and saw how bad it was rated too before hand, but went anyways.....lesson learned. read more

Well...After reading all of these terrible reviews I just had to stand up and say something good about this company. Firstly I would like to remind everyone that online forums beget negative reviews because people in the northeast use negative energy to motivate everything they do! HA! But I just wanted to say that although PSG did use a misleading job to bring me in I was so desperate after years of searching that I would have come in if they said I could work in a mail room as long as it was for a good company. The first interview I got was with a car insurance website. The company was cool, full of good looking, young, well off people; Notorious B.I.G. being piped through the sales floor. I was pretty excited but during the interview I made the mistake of saying I wasn't into high pressure sales and I think it made me appear as if I was not motivated to sell. So I didn't get that position but sure enough I got a call a week later and now I'm in a major health care provider training program. Do not think that PSG sucks because there are a large number of very entitled and disillusioned undergrads who feel like they deserve better! The job market is terrible! If you were in such high demand why would you be going to a staffing company in the first place? I have had numerous experiences with other staffing agencies who call and leave you hanging, PSG delivered!!!! I would have given them 5 stars if they didn't use deceitful tactics to bring in perspective temps, but hey, its a competitive industry. read more

i've been in touch with psg for about 3 months and have spoken to 3 different people there including the "recruiting manager". i would estimate that i've spoken on the phone with them 8 or 10 times and have exchanged numerous email messages. they have never once contacted me without my initiating the call or email. their response to my calls and emails is 'we don't have anything that matches you now' but nobody has ever called me to discuss my skills, experience and goals, nor have they ever called me to give me an update on their search on my behalf. i've given up hope of ever receiving a call or email about a position from psg. i'd advise you to not waste your time and seek out another agency if you're looking for work. read more

I have been to just about every staffing agency in the Boston area, and they were the worst. The recruiter I met with originally was very positive and seemed to be excited to work with me. I explained that I was looking to make a career change and had a cover letter and resume for a specific position for which I was well-qualified for already prepared. I said during our meeting that I was willing to start in an entry-level position or in a temporary position, had many transferable skills, and some directly applicable marketing experience. I was told to re-send my resume, which I did. The recruiter I spoke with emailed me the next day to say he had shared my resume with various people/departments, as well as the specific cover letter I had prepared, and requested I call back to speak with him about "next steps". I took this as a positive sign and called back at the time he requested, only to have him tell me that they only hire people with experience, and there were no openings for which I was qualified. Instead of saying he would hold on to my resume until something more suitable came up, he told me that everyone he had shared my resume with said there was nothing they could do for me, and because of this there was nothing the ENTIRE AGENCY could do for me. He was very contrite, but it was just an awful feeling to know that that the "largest staffing agency in Massachusetts" that prides itself on "providing outstanding service to its clients" and the "commitment to making our people successful is unmatched and our track record proves it", could do NOTHING for me. What about their "guaranteed work program"? I would not recommend them to anyone; there are much better staffing agencies around that will work with you, or do what they can to assist you with job search, even if they cannot place you. read more

If I could give it zero stars I would. Negative stars would make more sense actually. This company is the first staffing agency I used when I first moved to Boston. And it has proven to be the most useless. It's even worse than Ranstadt, and that is saying a lot. To this day I search job postings and it seems as though they have so many temp and perm positions, but they really don't. They just keep listings up to draw in more people (and more commission) then they drop it. They NEVER ever contact you and when you try to 'update' them and let them know you are available for any and all positions, they barely acknowledge you. I have applied for dozens upon dozens of jobs posted by them and I haven't gotten a single call or email to acknowledge that they received the application. I even called them out on it when I find jobs that are perfect for my qualifications, and they just give me some crap about it being filled already (even if it says it was posted like an hour before). They are just about getting the recruitment numbers in every month. I feel bad for whoever does their filing, they probably have dungeons and dungeons of filing space because it's not like they are actively keeping up with there clientele. read more

They put out a fake ad to lure me in for an interview. They then said that the real ad that they didnt post was for something out of my skill set. Im wondering if posting fake ads is legal? They are also pushing ideas of "informational interview" where a company agrees to speak with you even though there is no job. I dont know about people at PSG but the rest of the people have bills to pay. Stop wasting our time! There has to be some incentive to PSG if they are pushing informational interviews and not real interviews with realjobs. I'm wondering ifcompanies are paying PSG? The only way to really g3 hired is o work for PSG themselves. Its actually a checkbox on your application form if you want to be a sales rep for PSG. Do yourself a big favor and don't even go here. For one thing, they skim a lot off the top and pay less than other agencies. But that's not what motivated me to write this review. I worked with PSG back in 2008. A few months ago, I had a new interview, resume, and test to update them and get back in the game. Or so I thought. The guy I interviewed with, Judd, said he thought he could find something for me (of course they all say that, it's like a script and means nothing). About a week later I called him to check in and left a voicemail including my number very clearly stated. No response. A few weeks after that PSG sent me an evaluation and I gave him and the agency one star each. I called back yet again and got a lady at the front desk who is a lot smarter or more alert than Judd. She realized that, despite filling out several forms with name, address, phone number again and again, they still had my old number from '08. She claimed they had tried to call me at that number with a few jobs. This was most likely a lie to save face, since after 1 phone call they should have figured out that it's not my number anymore. I called Judd again the next day and he claimed that he was going to call me that afternoon regarding the negative assessment and that now that he had my correct phone number he was going to contact me with jobs. Another lie. He NEVER called me at any point. read more

Like with any job searching, you may or may not get the job... they cannot guarantee placement for everyone. After meeting with them, I quickly found a better and more personal staffing agency- however PSG has called repeatedly and I was given the third degree on the details of my current job situation/new staffing agency. Honestly one of the most frustrating experiences I've had was working with PSG. At the beginning things went smoothly enough but the more offers I turned down the less likely I was to hear from them. Eventually I'd go weeks with out getting a single assignment offer. After 3 months I was being actively DISCOURAGED from pursuing positions I had interview with/expressed interest in. Finally fed up I answered a satisfaction survey honestly giving PSG a 6/10. I got a call the next day asking about the survey, so I told them my honest opinion that I felt I was being punished for saying no to roles. I was assured that it wasn't the case and they want me to feel "comfortable with them". Well that was over a month ago and I haven't heard a single thing from PSG since. Aside from the fact this behavior is horribly inconsiderate and unprofessional, I relied on PSG for my income. Leaving me high and dry for over a month when I had already expressed that I NEEDED money was probably the most unethical reaction possible, showing me that they in fact did not give a single damn about me or my situation. I switched temp agencies and within 2 weeks they helped me get placed in my ideal job (no joke). My advice don't waste your valuable time with PSG. read more

ok, i know where a lot of you guys are coming from. when i applied there, i had a similar experience of wondering what kind of morons they have working for them, because after spending god knows how long filling out their application and doing aptitude tests, they were gushing over my resume saying that i would be an EXCELLENT candidate for their Guartaneed Work Program. who can honestly say they've been sucked up to at a job interview? i was rather skeptical, but i had just moved to the city and i was trying to make it on my own, so i took it and ran with it. i've found that you have to be pretty pushy with them once they hire you. almost to the point where any normal company would consider getting a restraining order against you. i would call multiple times a day until i spoke to my rep (who was the guy who interviewed me). they were actually pretty good to me for a while. the first few jobs i had were long-term, high-paying positions. in hindsight, i probably should have just applied for the companies i was working for, because a couple were pretty cushy, especially for an intelligent person who, just so happens, does not have a college degree. i have a wide variety of office skills, and they were very impressed with me. however, things went sour after about 5 months. after that, the jobs became few and far between, i was bounced around with a number of different representatives, and it got very confusing and frustrating to find work. Oh, and the Guaranteed Work Program is total crap. It's supposedly for people who want consistant work. If they don't have a job for you to go, they let you get paid to come in to their office and shooting the shit on their computers. If a job comes in, they send you to the site to work for the day. I did this a couple times when the jobs started slowing down and i was left desperate and unemployed. I went in for one day, and i ended up just surfing the net all day with nothing to do. it was pretty ridiculous. When i asked to speak with my rep towards the end of the day, to see if they had found any assignments, they had none. When i confirmed with them that i was coming in tomorrow, they said they didn't have any availabilty in the program! what a load of hooey!! Why did i even sign up for the program in the first place??? so, i guess it would be more aptly named the "Guaranteed" "Work" Program. i have been appalled at the gross misreprentation of their services. maybe if you already have a job, maybe if your career doesn't necessarily pay the bills (aka musician, artist, etc..) this might work out for you, but i would reccomend being a temp at any agency that isn't this one. read more

I recently was laid off and came across an ad on the web posted by these folks. Submitted my resume, and while the posting stated that the position was for immediate hire, I didn't hear anything. Until three weeks later, I received a call stating that the position which I had applied for had been filled, but they had another position which was very much the same in nature that they thought I would be perfect for. Great, I thought....so, I arranged a meeting for a few days later, and went in. Upon my arrival, the woman that I was to meet with, was "sick" that day, so I was to meet with someone else who had reviewed the file and my resume, etc. Yeah, right. Long story short, the woman that I met with had no idea of my background or skills, or that I had spent nearly 19 years working in the IT industry. She said that they would call me to set up the outside interview. Guess what....no call! I followed up repeatedly, and nothing happened, expect for the fact that I left a ton of voice mails. This is the most unprofessional and unorganized staffing agency in the business! Stay away and don't waste your time. read more

i used this temp agency 13 years ago and they were terrible then. This was back when I read the Sunday Globe for jobs. I'd call them on the next Monday, and would be told that the job was filled. I said how can it be filled if they just posted the job the day before? They never had an answer for that one. They also prevented me from getting unemployment once, by saying I had "turned down work" which was a lie. Kind of amazing that they seem to have not gotten their act together after all this time! read more

This place sucks. After the "interview" you never hear from them again. As many Times you call them you get the same answer "we don't have anything that would fit what you are looking for" I have been working with Katie Cheney and the first week was ok she would call to let me know what's going on but after that I have not gotten a call. When I call her she doesn't pick up amd when you leave a voicemail she still does not call you back. I applied back in JULY. Also they always claim they have jobs coming up but they stil don't tell you. Ontop of that they have the nerve to promote job openings on craigslist and things like that but when you call the job is not available yet. Its just something they are working o. Had a message from a woman at Professional Staffing Group on Monday 3/24. She had seen my resume on MONSTER and wanted to discuss a particular position she had in mind that would be a good fit for me. Great! Called her back on Tuesday early a.m., got her voice mail and left a message. Called again in the afternoon - voice mail. Called Wednesday a.m. - voice mail. Received an email from her thanking me for having forwarded my resume to her (I hadn't) and that we should meet to discuss a plan to find suitable employment for me. What about the job she had mentioned in her first message? That is one agency I am going to stay away from. She is either confused, disorganized or throwing out bait in the hope that some poor fool will bite and make the trek into Boston. read more
