Aimhire found me a temporary position, which I accepted, with the understanding that the position was nearby and would last approximately 3 months or more. Not only was the position an hour away, but it only lasted 6 days. When I discussed the issue with the recruiter she didn't seem to care, she just responded saying that now I had something to put on my resume. How do you put a job where you spent 6 days on a resume??? Additionally, I had to significantly cut back on hours at my other job to take this opportunity. I was not able to get all of my shifts back after my temp job was over. Through this process Aimhire cost me both time and money; I would never recommend this agency to anyone. My word of advice to anyone who uses this company, be careful and have a backup plan! Aimhire will do what it takes to staff a position but at the cost of its employees.

Professional. I am being approached for a few technical positions, and was set up to take 3 technical equivalency exams from Kenexa "ProveIt!", a subsidiary of IBM. I know those exams aren't free, so these people take their business seriously. My recruiter, Heidi, was engaging and a 30-minute scheduled meeting turned into about 52, so...it's not a place where they treat you like a faceless asset, punch you in and punch you out. We'll see if anything comes of the positions I was approached about, but I can at least say the recruiter's game is solid and no holes. Small note: when I walked in, the receptionist was on the phone. There was no acknowledgement of my arrival, no eye contact made, no finger raised as if to say "just a sec", nothing silently mouthed to me like "just a second" -- and the phone call was not put on hold to check me in. Sounded like a personal call to me, and I was standing there a good 3 minutes while she finished up. Not exaggerating -- I checked my phone when I came in and right before she got to me, so...mmmmmmmaybe give potential employees who walk through your door a little more priority? Just sayin'. Not enough of an issue to ding the business for though.
