For MONTHS our family has tried to get these people to come back & complete the work they did. We've scheduled & was promised MULTIPLE dates & times for their employees to arrive...however on ALL occasions, no one has showed, without even a phone call. Terrible customer service. And as far as I'm concerned, terrible work. And as I see from previous reviews, this isn't the first.

You will have nothing but problems, excuses, sick staff, can't find paperwork, found the paperwork, glass is in the warehouse, can't find the glass, have the glass on the truck, don't have the glass on the truck, glass is ready to deliver, nope it's not, oh! Yes it is, nope...not again, glass is scratched, have to reorder, it'll be a couple of days, can't get the glass, don't know when you'll get glass....and on and on. It is now June 2020. We had it measured in January. Still no shower glass. Last item to complete so our family can finally move back into our house after Hurricane Michael and we're absolutely stuck. They won't call back, won't answer phone calls. We live in Lynn Haven. Wanted to give Lynn Haven businesses our work. Boy did that ever backfire. Finally found a glass company in Destin that will come out and give it a shot but we're now months behind. They are absolutely the worst customer driven business I've ever encountered....ever! And I'm pretty long in the tooth. How they stay in business is beyond me. They don't care one lick about you or your business. Let me repeat that. They don't care about you or your business. Again, if you need glass, run away from this company...and I mean RUN. Don't walk in the door, don't call them. Just don't! You'll stay sane that way.

Chris come out and checked our windows and gave me a decent price. But that was where the good service stopped. When I first contacted glass doctors I was told I would have to pay a $75 travel fee. I was happy to do so and I gave Chris a check for the amount after he arrived to check the windows. He even gave me an invoice for the amount and reiterated that the travel fee would be credited to my account when I ordered. Several weeks later I called back and requested Chris return to look at additional windows. Latasha scheduled me for a couple weeks later. 3 days before Chris was set to arrive Latasha called me to reschedule and also to ask me for a deposit on my order. After I explained to her that my order was no longer correct since Chris was coming back, I did not want to put down a deposit until he was finished. She then said I would have to pay a travel fee of $75 which I was fine with again and told her that. At this point she told me I had never paid a travel fee the first time. I assured her that I had and that my bookkeeper had been waiting on the check to clear. I gave her the check number the amount written and the company it was written from. I later received an email back saying Chris waived my travel fee while he was here and he never received a check from me. This was completely untrue. The email went on to say that I needed to have my bank stop the check since it had been over a month. I am assuming she was insinuating I lost my own check. This was completely untrue as I gave it to Chris the day he was here. I emailed her back to let her know how unprofessional this was and for someone from management to please call me to discuss the matter. That was several days ago and I have yet to hear back from anyone. I am blown away at how this was handled, as glass doctors seemed to be a reputable business.

To repair damage from Hurricane Michael, I enlisted Area Glass to replace the glass in five windows…read moreat my home. They gave a 6-10 week lead time for the work to be done, so definitely not a quick process.  After seven weeks, they finally committed to an installation date, but on the day of the installation, they informed me that four of the five window panes could not be installed because they were incorrect sizes. The exact reason for this wasn't very clearly explained, but the fault seemed to be shared by Area Glass and its supplier. Because I was in the process of selling this home, Area Glass's mistake and the resulting delay was very consequential for me, but after informing me of their error, they exhibited no urgency in correcting the issue. They offered a lot of apologies, but it took a great deal of prodding to get them to expedite the process of correcting their mistake. Their agreement said they had 10 weeks to complete the work and that's all they cared about. Ultimately, Area Glass took two months to complete their work and, despite all that time, they screwed up one of the most fundamental parts of the project - ensuring glass of the right size was ordered and delivered.  It's unfortunate we victims of Hurricane Michael are at the mercy of contractors like Area Glass who lack the empathy and willingness to provide high quality service or work.
