A driver insured by progressive ran a red light and did substantial damage to my car. The driver was found at fault and Progressive paid for my car repair. However, Progressive was supposed to pay for my necessary car rental (over $1,000) but the company continuously stalls my reimbursement and as of this writing it has been over 2 months due. I have been a Progressive Insurance customer in the past and had the same experience with them as an insured client. They stall payments and will drop your policy abruptly. Absolute worst experience with an insurance company...needed a tow, got tossed around between departments for 4 hours. Got my own tow truck...had to pay out of pocket. If I could give lower than 1 star I would. Screwed member and left me in a worse financial position after their insured total my brand new car. Told me the car was totaled at the last minute and took my rental car. Then I was told that I needed to meet with them days later in a city and hour away. I asked how they expected to get there and I was told it was "up to my discretion". I didn't try to sue or ask for tons of money I just asked for what I had put into my car and they did not listen to me and treated me like a child. read more

Progressive insurance company sucks, if you want a insurance company that adds random people to you policy, chose progressive!! Then when you try to figure out why this happened to YOUR POLICY they can't tell you but this random person that I don't know can just change MY insurance whenever they please. If you not meeting with the insurance representative in person don't bother using it. I switched to Progressive in April a few days later someone tried to steal my car in vandalize a few days later April the 18th being exact I file a claim with progressive with the young man named John then Crystal Hernandez called me and took over my claim from that day She was in and out of the office I sent in paperwork, gave them my friends and family name and number for the INVESTIGATION and I had to be the work that Monday so I went out and got a rental thinking that progressive would reimburse me and take over the rental agreement. Progress gave me so much hassle with my claim they called everyone their verified all my information and still no communication I had to go into the Savannah office feeling so violated and so upset that the Manager there helped me get a rental two weeks after my car was vandalized on May 5. I was calling on my lunch break after hours and still no communication I asked for a management Miss Miriam Johnson. She never called me. I sent text message through the portal. Talk to so many different coworkers there at progressive they send emails. Text team is each other And still no communication. On May 9th I finally had a adjuster. Robert came out to my house to look at my vehicle. He did his assessment and sent to Christel but once again, Crystal said that she was to be out of the office again May 16 Christel finally gave me a call and said that she was sending my car to I AA auction house in Virginia. I quickly corrected her and told her that I am in Savannah Georgia. She giggled and said she's sorry then the next day or a few days later, a tow truck came while I was at work and took my car.on the 19th I called IAA a day or two later they said they had my thinking it was a total loss and realize it wasn't and quickly they call progressive and they sent my car to Hollingsworth collision and the management got my car. There realize that it was vandalism and not collision they told the Tow truck driver to take the car back and don't leave it there but the tow truck driver just dropped it off and said that it wasn't his problem and he had other cars to pick up and left my car there for Days. So after me going up to Hollingsworth, speaking to the manager, Mr. Taylor and asking him to call progressive to put a rush on moving my car to low country collision where it should've been the first time so now is going on June 1 still my my car Is sitting up waiting on parts Christel Hernandes sent me an email on June 5 stating that I was well over my 30 days a rental and anything pass 4 June I will have to pay out-of-pocket with the car rental. Try calling while I was at work. Krystal refused to answer my phone calls. Miss Johnson wasn't answering no calls for me. The whole entire two months I had to go into the Savannah office to speak with the Front Desk clerk for her to call Krystal to put her on the phone And the only thing that Christel kept on saying that she was out of the office but they act like it's my fault that I need a car to get to work and taking care Of my elderly mother, after the clerk put Christel on the phone, I asked for her manager to speak with and the only thing the manager told me that I went out and got a rental on my own dime and yes, they did reimburse me for that first week that I had that rental but she told me I should've waited for Christel or herself to grant me a rental instead of going to the Savannah office. I fault like at least someone could have help me to get around with The progressive people in Ohio don't even care about no one here in Georgia It's so sad that I had to write a long review like this because I thought progressive company was one of the best but I realize it's not it's garbage and because of the representative That they have in the Ohio state team now I have to pay for a rental car just to take care of my family and I have did and paid my insurance and still no Communication and I sat there for hours day after day trying to talk to someone in the office and the only thing that Office kept saying I sent them a message and no one got back with me. I hate progressive and what they put us people through but they quick to take my money.i ask miss Johnson to extend my rental just until I get my car back for another few weeks too. She stated that it was out of her hands. They already did it four days past the 30 days and that's the only thing that they could do for me. I'm so upset with progressive because my hands are tied Because they are so sorry. And it's not all of them, but after the hanging up in my face with progressive me calling them, trying to get some kind of communication back from my claim representative or her management no one couldn't call me. Called Progessive for a bid on a new home I"m buying for a rental. Wasted 45 minutes of my life. Website says social security number is optional. After I filled out all and completed every single question they told me to call them for more questions. I had to repeat everything I filled out and then at the end they said they needed my social security number for a "soft" pull.... doesn't affect credit. I told them that if I wanted to give out my social I would have in the on line data request. TOTAL AND COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME. I WOULD STAY CLEAR OF PROGRESSIVE INSURANCE AT ALL COSTS. read more

I was hit in an accident by one of their insured. It has been 17 days since my accident. I still have not been able to get ANY information on my vehicle. They first told me that it was totaled. Now, it came back a day after the accident saying it wasn't. Since then, I have not heard anything until today. A person who I have NEVER talked to called me and asked me where my vehicle was. There are too many stars if I have to give even one to this company. Someone hit my car and the claim rep, Kevin, did nothing as far as contacting the other insurance company. I did the work. If you want to pay them for insurance and then do the work, use them, if you want an insurance company to do their job, use someone else. I was hit by a driver insured with Progressive on a Thursday. After days (5 or 6) of trying to contact someone, and renting a car on our own card... they finally contacted and we were able to get a vehicle that would sit the 8 my family needed. A tire was damaged severely in the wreck. They would only agree to pay for the one tire and not the other front tire, even though their own adjuster admitted the van would pull to the right and we would need to replace the other tire on our own. The other tire had 50 percent tread. We spent $600 out of pocket on the tires. We were told we would receive a check for $300ish for the one tire. We were told, and the body shop was told that all payments for the other repairs would go directly to the body shop (around 6,000 in damages). We were told we would receive $150 for diminished value. That is on a van that had never had any other accidents. After saying that wasn't reasonable they offered $300, when we asked for $500. They said they would pay $400. I expressed gratitude for them coming up to that amount, but wanted to clear it with my husband and receiving payment for the tire before signing off on the claim. We received a check for $625 for the tire. I thought they were paying for both tires and was thrilled! My husband said to call the body shop since it was for more than the $300 we were expecting. The check was accidentally made to us (the adjuster said he meant to send it to the body shop and that he would send the $300ish to us). My husband thought the emailed form sent to him was for clearance on the tire. He signed it. But it was actually the agreement to the $300 for diminished value and not the $400 they verbally offered to pay. They said since he signed the form we would no longer be receiving the $400 they verbally offered to pay because they were not legally obligated to pay it. Poor business, legal or not. So we were out the $300 for the tire we had to replace even though it was a result from the wreck and the $100 diminished value they offered to pay. read more
