Brittany Boland is by far the worst person for claims to deal with. She is very unprofessional and rude. She definitely doesn't like white people. They all have no problem taking your money but when it comes down to a issue they deny and look for an out from paying in anyway they can. Went there today...Even tho the sign on the door says they will be open until 6pm The doors were locked! Calling customer service was worse!! Upon calling, I SAID I was in RUTHERFORD NJ and asked why this store is closed? The agent questioned "what type of store is this?" The service is fantastic , I got rear ended. Filed a claim and the very same day an agent from progressive called as promised before end of day. The estimator set an appointment for me the same day. Came to the Rutherford service center and couldn't believe how quick I was taken care of. I was put in a rental within 15 -20 minutes of being there. I came in around 6pm and the entire transaction took half an hour. I was in an out and I think that was thanks to Alex. The prompt service is highly appreciated. I made the apportionment literally 1 hour prior to coming here. I was shocked at how prepared Alex was for my arrival. He knew who I was and greeted me with professionalism. Explained my claim , how they were going to repair my car and the amount of time they will take. Alex mentioned the car may take up to 2-3 days, promised me the car will be finished before cinco de mayo. The car was actually finished in 24 hours. I was amazed. The stars are for the progressive team members. However, I wasn't totally happy with the repairs done to my car. That I blame Tony's auto body II inc located in Totowa NJ, the ones who repaired my car. The repairs are noticeable. The damage to my car was a crack in the bumper with two holes from the driver license plate frame. When I got my car back you can actually see three indentations from the repairs, is this why my car only took 24 hours to fix? Was my car rushed? It's noticeable, why didn't anyone say anything? Dropped my husbands car off last for repair after an accident as suggested by our progressive agent. After signing all the paperwork, he got in my car and we left. Two minutes later, he realized he left his cell phone and wallet in the car so we turned around to grab it. When we arrived the girl Christine said there was nothing in the car. My husband asked her to pull the car out of the garage (which they had already pulled into the body shop) so he could check it himself. As he was frantically searching his car for his phone and wallet, I was using the "find my phone" app from my phone. The app shows that the phone has now been shut off. It didn't die. It had full battery and was on when he was in the car ten minutes ago using it. No one is accepting responsibility for his phone or wallet even though it was STOLEN right out of his car immediately after we left. Joe the service manager says he can "vouch" for his employees and he doesn't think anyone stole the items. I called progressive and they said that they'll look into it but people "misplace" things all the time. It wasn't misplaced. We were robbed at the auto shop with their name on it that they recommended. And to boot, this is an insurance company's service center and they claim to not have any security cameras in their building. *eye roll* liars. This place is full of thieves and managers who take no responsibility. Even progressive is being shady when talking to us about it. I will never bring our vehicles back here and plan on finding new insurance carriers immediately. It's bad business and I don't recommend this place to anyone. We went to pick up the fixed car and it was in one piece with nothing else stolen so I guess it's a half win for us. Joe the service manager came out to apologize to us again for the theft but insisted it wasn't him or his employees. It was. There is literally no other explanation unless you let unsupervised customers into someone else's vehicle which is totally not ok when it's in your care. So we had to replace my husbands $850 phone. His wallet. His drivers license. All of his credit cards and work IDs. Progressive is a joke and so are their service centers. Never again will they get my business. This is a summary of what we experienced with the Progressive Service Center in Rutherford, NJ. I took my vehicle to the service center after getting into a car accident where it was determined that the driver of the other vehicle was 100% at fault. Upon my arrival I spoke with Brenna the Progressive Intake Rep. and explained to her all the damages both cosmetic and mechanical that we were experiencing after the accident. She could not be bothered to fully inspect or listen to all the issues we were explaining to her. After the disservice we received from Brenna, we voiced our concern about the damages to Jennifer L. Perino the Claim Rep. and she assured us everything would be taken care of. At this point was the vehicle was left in Progressive's hands. Upon coming back to the Progressive Repair Center they reviewed the repairs that they performed on the vehicle which were only cosmetic repairs. After realizing that they had not completely repaired the vehicle I spoke with the Manager Christopher G. Colman and expressed my concern that my vehicle was not safe and that damages that I had described during the initial assessment were not repaired or even looked at. He quickly disregarded my concerns and provided me a letter of denial that they would not be repairing anything further. After leaving the repair center I found more damages underneath my vehicle which I brought to Progressives attention. They only repaired a small amount of the damages and left the major issues untouched. After several complaints to Progressive they advised me they would send a representative to listen to an ASE Mechanic's findings so they sent one of their henchman, Ruddy Lopez, to take pictures and do absolutely nothing else. Even after showing proof to multiple Progressive entities that my vehicle had just received maintenance service including a full car inspections just prior to the accident, were none of the current damages were present they still refused to repair the damages that were a direct result from the accident. I strongly advise you to never take your vehicle into the Progressive Service Center in Rutherford, NJ. They are band of unscrupulous thieves. You are better off finding your own reputable repair center. I can't believe I pay all this money every month to keep my family and vehicle safe yet all the money goes to corporate pockets. read more

I should've listened to the previous reviews. My car was fixed quickly and came back looking great but now my car shakes like I'm in a simulator and my claim is being denied that this is related to their auto body shop or the accident. I didn't have this issue previously and now all of a sudden I do and they aren't taking any responsibility for it. I will never use progressive again. I am so glad I found out now before continuing service with them through the cars of my entire family and homes. What a horrible experience. It's been over a month and a half and I'm still trying to get my car fixed. DO NOT USE. Eric Sommers and his boss Chris should be fired. read more

After having my brand new 2017 SUV keyed not once but twice ..... the experience at progressive was wonderful. All the counter folks were pleasant and efficient. The process and the paperwork was handled in record time, the loaner car was waiting for me when I got there. Everything was explained in detail and professionally. And .... they have well stocked coffee area for you while you wait !!! Excellent service. They made a terrible experience for me much better. read more

I recently had to drop my car off after getting sideswiped by another car. I was in and out within 15-20 minutes driving my rental car. Everyone there was nice. When I came to pick it up, the car looked perfect. I was in my fixed car within 15 minutes.
