To Lance Bergstrom and prospective customers…read more Bergstrom Eye was recommended for a legion removal on my eyelid. I had to wait 2 months for next available time. This was acceptable since the issue was not critical. I asked them for expectations of the length of the procedure upfront so I could make work arrangements. I arrived at my appointment early, because I knew there would be paperwork and I wanted to respect the time of the Doctor, his patient schedule, the patients after me and the financial interest of the business. Intake was promptly started at the scheduled time and the staff up to this point met expectations or exceeded them. Intake took 15 minutes, and I was shown to a waiting area in the back waiting my turn to see the Doctor for the procedure. Fifteen minutes went by, then 30, then 40. At 55 mins the anxiety of waiting for the procedure, being late to get back to work and the disrespect of Dr Bergstrom not respecting my time got the better of me and I had to leave. I informed the front desk that I could not wait any longer because I had to get back to work. Apologize for my bluntness and explained I had only an hour scheduled for this and it was not acceptable for the Doctor to not respect me or my time. I fully understand there are situations where someone with an emergency might take precedence. That is completely acceptable, and I am open to reasonable and necessary extenuating circumstances. My noncritical legion is not more important than someone abruptly potentially loosing eyesight or pain from a serious injury. Pushing my appointment for that is ok. I would be open to finding solutions for all parties. What is not ok is the ego of Lance Bergstrom thinking that his patients and their time are less important than himself or his business. It is his responsibility to communicate to his patients if their scheduled appointment is going to run behind and why. It is his responsibility to think of more than himself and conduct his business with the understanding that his patients' time is just as important as his. For working people, it is incredibly hard to get time away from work to get needed medical attention. For some it is impossible. Lance Bergstrom seems to be so out of touch with reality he does not consider the impact of his decisions on the working individual and the consequences for them when an appointment schedule is not kept. If this Doctor or practice is being recommended to you, I highly encourage you to look elsewhere. If Lance Bergstrom is incapable of doing something as simple as respecting your time, what else is his incapable of?
