I took PMA's in-person PMP prep course in May 2023 in Kirkland. Gregg was an outstanding instructor and helped me get into the right mindset for studying and taking the exam to pass on the first try. This was by far the best option to satisfy the 35-hour education requirement AND gain extremely useful knowledge/advice for completing the certification through PMI. The course started on a Monday and finished on a Thursday and included a ton of additional resources online. I passed my exam on my first attempt 4 weeks after completing the course. read more

I took the 4-Day class this past March. I didn't know what to expect but once in the class, I realized the test was going to be much more difficult than I thought, and I was glad I signed up for the class instead of trying to prepare for the test on my own. The class was very well planned, the schedule is a bit tight, in fact I think 5-days would be better, but my instructor covered everything and did a really good job at drilling certain important concepts into our head. I hadn't taken a test in almost 20 years and at times I felt overwhelmed with so much information. At the end of the class they have you do a mock test and I was super disappointed when my score was 2 points below the average. But my instructor was encouraging and I followed their post-class advice, made really good use of their materials, took several of their webinars, and 6 or 7 of their online mock tests which are probably the second most valuable thing you get after the class itself. I did use other online materials I found to prepare for the test but 90% of it was from the Project Management Academy, and I was able to pass the test in my first attempt, 3 months after the class. In summary I recommend PMA specially if you don't have a very clear path on how to prepare and apply for the test (both very tricky), and if the cost is not an issue. read more

I took the 4 day on-site bootcamp at Kirkland location during the last week of Jan 2023, and I took the test today 3/14/2023 and passed on my first attempt. I am so glad I chose PMA because their materials and quality of the lectures were solid, and I did feel like I learned something every day during the bootcamp. I had Gregg Richie as the instructor, and I was so impressed with his knowledge and lectures styles. It was super informative, and he made it interesting enough and I was able to fully engage in class. I am 100% satisfied with the bootcamp, and Gregg also inspired me in a way that the way I think about project management before and after the course is different. I thought it was just a job, but now I view this profession with more respect and almost like a calling as I realized not everyone can do this. I hope to stay in touch with him as my PMP mentor! The in-person bootcamp was instrumental in my passing the PMP certification exam the first time. I attended the 4-day course the week of 22 May 2023 and passed the exam 12 June 2023. I was under the gun with a nearly impossible deadline (I would have liked an additional week of study time but had no choice), and Gregg got me through it! His mastery of the material AND ability to teach it were terrific. In addition, he brought real world experience to the concepts. I found this bootcamp to be extremely beneficial while I was prepping for the PMP exam. I just passed the test "Above Target" in early Feburary 2019! I took the course in early November 2018. Gregg Richie was our instructor, and he did a fantastic job. He covered every bit of material that you should know for the exam, what to do after the course was over, and about the Prometrics testing facility where the PMP is administered. He answered questions very clearly. Even after class he was willing to answer questions and provide guidance. If you are someone who learns well in a classroom environment, I really think this bootcamp is worth the money. In September 2021 my company enrolled me and several colleagues in Project Management Academy's course to prepare for the PMI PMP exam.
