I just have a pistol, so the only bays I've been to are 1-5. They are right in front of the office where you sign in and out. You can walk from the parking lot to the bay or you can drive there. The shooting bays are more or less private and surrounded on all sides by berms. If the measuring app on my phone is to be believed, bays 1-5 offer up to 50 ft distance depending on where you stand. There is a camera watching each bay, so make sure you follow range rules. As for the rest of the facilities, I was never offered a tour or orientation, so i couldn't say. If you are thinking of coming here, there is a waiver and safety quiz you have to fill out. You can do it in their office, but it's easier imho to do it on their website before you arrive. You can rent their equipment or bring your own.

A couple of our bikes needed minor repairs. She had visited the Bike House from time to time and met Scot. She thought it's mission was good for the community. When I finally visited there, I did not feel as welcomed the way she spoke of. I thought it was just a male thing at first. It took a couple of visits to see the real operation. Our son was looking to purchase a bike, Luis brought out the first bike. It had no kickstand. it look liked a piece of crap. He wanted $ 80.00. The second bike wasn't that much better for $120.00. Of all the bikes, that's in the House. Over priced! They were really tripping. My most recent visits to the Bicycle House was not a pleasant experience. After complaining about the service I received for my bikes not being repaired properly. Luis attempted to explain the charges, which I disagreed with. I felt the cost was too high. In addition, he told me the cost would be $16.00 per bike, totaling $32.00. When I picked up the bikes, he charged me $72.00. . I asked Luis, how he determined what amount to charge customers. He said, there is a chart posted inside. Also, it's based on a person ability to pay. I'm not sure what it was based on, how I looked, or what I drove? Again, the gears on my bike were not working properly and the tire went flat. I took it back again, they charged an additional $10.00, only had $5.00 at the time. Should he have charged me again? I don't think so. Our bikes weren't repaired as expected. On one occasion, they suggested a donation for the services rendered. The next time, a flat rate. In one visit, we paid twice. My wife had paid prior to me picking up the bikes. I made another donation. I have no problem paying my bill when it's done right. During my conversation with Luis, Due to CV-19, I never saw Scot, "the owner"; he stayed in the building. Scot apparently overheard the conversation I was having with Luis. Later that day, I received a long text message from Scot. He talked about the people they have served, his life story, how he saved 95,000 of his personal funds to support the operation, what school he attended, where his mother worked and why he sold his car and is riding a bike now. BLAH BLAH BLAH!!!!. What does that have to do with me? He never came out to address my concerned. I did not ask for a hand out, I wanted my bikes fixed so we could ride. "It's all about power and control". This experienced taught me a valuable lesson, you don't always get what you pay for....People aren't always who the pretend to be, no matter who's House it is! "My Dollars Matter Too"!

In terms of academics, I was able to take the best honors, AP, & dual-enrollment classes with the best teachers, who were incredibly dedicated -- even staying for hours after school, on weekends, and over the summers just to help their students be as prepared as possible for exams and competitions. The school offered a rich variety of extracurricular activities, and students had the opportunity to travel & compete nationwide on award-winning Science Olympiad, competition math, and robotics teams... just to name a few. My fellow students and I were genuinely curious, engaged, and passionate about the things we were learning and got lots of hands-on experience that we use to this day. The school also fosters a strong, close-knit community. I knew all of my teachers and administrators personally, and could tell they really cared about us as students & as the people we grew up to be. OSS introduced me to many peers that I now consider lifelong best friends. OSS's STEM-focused curriculum prepared me incredibly well for college. Since finishing high school, I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from MIT, and am currently pursuing my Master's degree as well. Many of my classmates also went to top colleges across the nation. My experience at OSS helped me grow both personally & professionally, and I have no doubt that Tallahassee Preparatory Academy will offer the same opportunities, support, and community.

My Child needed some help during this school year because he was struggling with math and common…read morecore is not my favorite type of math, I found this place and it seemed good I seen good reviews so I got my child set up he had to do a test to see how far he is in school but the next day he was doing stuff that he already did back in 1st grade but the plus side he can bring his homework in to help him understand and they have amazing tutors so even though my child is doing stuff in 1st grade there, it's still good that there helping him in school just only bring his homework in and doing activity's to help him. I give this place a 4 star rating.
