I didn't even know him or the NP. What she did next was one of the worst experiences of my life. Instead of continuing my treatment plan that I've had for the last 15 years, she /they decided since Dr. Reading was unavailable due to health issues, they COMPLETELY changed my medications, doses, and did not show even show the slightest concern for me or my well being. BIG WARNING ‼ BEWARE do not see this Dr. Bouras or Geode Health‼ they do NOT care about you, they only care about money and the NP (Oletimbo?) is so RUDE and does NOT belong in the mental healthcare field AT ALL. Even after I called several times because I did not understand why they would do this to me, I was met by unreturned phone calls and an ABSOLUTE lack of care by the ENTIRE staff. I filed multiple complaints with the Texas Board because of their blatant lack of care. If you care about your mental health, STAY AWAY FROM THESE "Psychiatrists" It may save your life. They do not care whatsoever. Shame

I love Medcare Pediatric Group and consider them like family. From my personal experience…read moreinteracting and observing several therapists there, I finally decided that MedCare would be the right place for my child. The energy and passion that the therapists had made all the children happy and kept them engaged. The facility was quite nice with a lot of the things a top notch rehab should have, but more importantly I can tell that these employees do their jobs from the heart. To me, that is the most important thing when I think about entrusting the special needs of my child with someone. Anybody can be taught "therapy" but if their heart isnt in it, you dont want them because taking care of special needs child is not easy. Heck regular children are not easy, but special needs, if you have one, then you know, it is very tough at times. It takes true compassion to get through those tough times and to keep working towards goals that help your child develop and grow. I was happy to sense that in the employees I watched. Besides therapists and other kids, I met a woman named Paige. Im not sure but I believe she's the CEO. I didnt get her last name when we first chatted so it wasnt until I grabbed a business card on my way out that I realized I was chatting with the CEO. When I met her I thought she was just another mom so I just started talking to her casually like I would anybody else. Meeting her sealed the deal for me. She was down to earth, genuine, and I could tell she was a kind person that truly wants to help others. She never even mentioned she was the CEO, she spoke to me like one human being to another, a parent to another parent and it meant a lot. I dont like people that oversell because then theyre just about the money and I dont like healthcare professionals that have an attitude or think theyre god and just give you this feeling like theyre full of themselves, it doesnt seem like they truly care. So MedCare I can honestly say gave me the feeling that they truly do care and now Ive seen it. I guess when your CEO has a heart, they know what to look for in the people they hire. They have heart and that matters to me so I wouldnt take my child anywhere else. If I feel like what they do stops coming from the heart, I will look elsewhere, but for now im glad my child is working with good people. I know this is long, but I feel like healthcare and special needs is so challenging, people should know my whole story. Maybe it can help.

Her approach to a rather concerning matter with your children will be put to ease once you talk with her. During my son's evaluation, she was extremely patient, thorough, professional and incredibly knowledgeable on speech delay and offered key, specific details on their plans to help my boys talk. I am extremely confident in their ability to help us and I am glad we chose her establishment. I have not met Ashanty in person yet, my kids' speech pathologist but she is very easily accessible and sends us updates regularly via text. We have heard great things about her from staff at our kids' schools and so far, we are happy with her. The desk staff, (I've primarily communicated with Cammie) is also amazing. Very responsive and easily accessible, (you can even text with them!) Scheduling was a breeze and I appreciate the great customer service and professionalism. It goes a long way in my book. Special thanks again to Melody for being just really freaking good at her job and genuinely caring about my kids! I love talking with her just hear her wisdom! Thank you!!!

If you're interested in doing speech therapy sessions at home you should inquire with Angie for more info! The staff is very friendly and open to suggestions and will try to accommodate to your schedule so your little one(s) can get the exposure they need to succeed.
