Part 1. . . Nikki J Please proceed with extreme caution when dealing with this company. Initially they will present themselves as competent and attentive. They will answer all your questions, and address concerns "INITIALLY" . . Take heed, because once you agree and decide to them doing the job and that transaction goes through, it is basically over for you! I really wanted to love Proline. However, you will truly be disappointed by them. The manager Gateno can and will go back and forth with you, and if you are a female, forget it! I decided to have them do a two-way remote start with Drone installation on January 23, 2024. It's been a nightmare ever since! I spent almost $900 on them! Honestly, the time seemed longer as I went back and forth with them since 01/2024. In addition, they called one of their guy's "Eddie" a key locksmith to make me a new key as my second key was not working. Honestly, since he created the key for me, it really hasn't been working either. I have been in contact with Proline more than 15 times since 01/24/24. Initially, I was happy with my remote start but had some issues thereafter which they assured me it wasn't an issue with installation but more so my car battery which was fairly new. About 3 months prior, I brought a new battery! I took it to AutoZone and my mechanic which both varied my battery was fine and there were no issues with my battery! In which I already knew. However, Getano of course, which is the expert in all things and hates to take accountability states that the issue was not w/ the remote start but never actually provided a viable source. I was so disappointed by his arrogance and condescending tone. He lacked empathy and remorse. I brought back the battery status/dx to him to show him there was nothing wrong with my battery as he insisted. He then spoke to his installer which agreed to take a look at it. This was the first day I had a conversation with a guy named Mish. Literally, heaven sent. He fixed the issue a explained the cause. He told me what he had done to fix the issue, and told me if I had any more issues, I could come back to him. I was so happy and pleased. I was so thankful as it was winter, and I most certainly needed my remote start to work. I want to say about 12/24, I began to try to locate them, but they were shut down from their location on Atlantic. When I finally found them on Utica, Getano had the audacity to tell me that they would do me a "courtesy check", but my warranty had ended when their Atlantic site had shut down, and warranty does not transfer from location to location. I was very disturbed but happy he told me to come. I came in the next day and waited and waited and they could not fix the remote start issue. Getano told me to come in the following day, which I did, however, since I was coming from far, I would have to leave work early that day as well! On my second visit to their Utica site (790 Utica Ave), they tried to no avail! (They honestly didn't seem to know nor looked like they knew what they were doing) I asked for Mish as he was the only one from the shop to successfully work on my car. They stated he no longer worked there; I was devastated! Getano, and his workers were unable to fix the issue but after some time, got a signal from the remote but it still was not able to start remotely, he sent me on my way, although we both knew it was not working it was nothing he could do. I was frustrated and tired and left. I called back as the key was no longer responding and the alarm began going off again when I attempted to remote start it or unlock my doors. He stated the check was only a one-time courtesy thing. His attitude was disgusting! I was also disgusted that I paid them so much money and they were not knowledgeable about the product. It was an easy out for him regarding change of site and that "I didn't have warranty with the Utica location" which sounds absurd as it is the same company and not my fault that the landlord did not want to renew their lease or that the rent was going to be increased significantly. Fast forward to Monday, 12/1/2025 I called Proline's Utica site and requested to speak to the owner and was presented with Getano, he asked about the issue, and he instantly remembered me. He stated it may be an issue with my keys and some more nonsense. I told him about the installer that had fixed my car and had been the only successful person to fix my issue there. He reminded me that the guy was no longer there and refreshed my memory with the name "MISH" he asked did I want to know where he was located, which I found odd as I was asking for him previously and they never stated where he moved to, aside from he was at another shop in Brooklyn. Anyways, he provided me with the location and name of the shop. I called that same day and they verified that Mish worked there. That day I was able to talk to Mish, and he told me to come in the next day or when I was available. I agreed. read more

In 2019 I got company installed radio replaced with new one with this company, and was charged almost $1,000. However, the product installed, having glitches in settings. It's about Time settings, whenever I start my car, it all goes to default settings, and time comes up whatever system decides, many times I tried to adjust, but again, whenever I shut off and restart, it goes off. Many other minute stuff as well. All these years since 2019, I did not had the time to to come back to this agency, to get it fixed. On March 21st, I was passing by and thought let them know my issues to them. The owner, seems does not had good time, he was off right from the beginning since I started to narrate issues, he outrightly denied, said it is out of warranty, blah blah... seems like very ANGRY with issue I was informing. I told him, I gave this much business to him, and this is how, you treat your customers, rather than hear their concerns?? It was noon time, he told me, I have people waiting and cannot address my issue today. I POLITELY asked him, if I can wait till he attend all his customers first, and then in end, may be he can just fix some settings? He Bluntly, said NO, he told me, He cannot attend me today in any case, has to come back. THIS IS TOTALLY INCONVINEINT, meaning, I had to make up another time to come there, and waste my TIME. I tolerate system malfunction all past 6-7 years only because I did not had time to come this store. He asked me come during the week, I said next Saturday, he said yes. However, Saturday not going to work out for me, so I will somehow find time to reach this place again, sometime this week, and see what if they resolve issue. I never had such a BAD experience, this is the WORST customer experience I ever had. I regret of giving my business to them, and that was too nearly $1,000, is not a small amount, but for them, it seems like a joke. Once they have the transaction done, this place give a DAMN to their customers, I am sure many unpleasant experiences you may see in reviews. If you want essential upgrades for your car, this is the place for you. Anything else I would not recommend at all, I would run away from Proline!!!! I spent over 12k on a system they did for me. Proline audio rushed my job to go to the jeep show. First, my power steering didn't work. I returned, and it took them about 3 hours to fix the issue. They thought they could get away with it because my car was shipping to California. Then I found out the speakers on my dash weren't the speakers they sold me. The grill looked used, and I was skeptical when I got the car. So I had another shop redo all the sloppy work they didn't, which was pretty much everything. So when taking the speakers out, we find out they put used speakers that had been discounted four years ago. If they weren't so lazy and actually mounted the speakers inside the grill, I would have never found out. Luckily they just cut a hole and surface-mounted them so you can see the used speaker and bent grill. They still didn't want to admit they were used but refunded me for half of the original speakers they said they had used. But I still paid 400 dollars for used speakers for the same price as a new pair. That was the first most enormous red flag!!!!! Then I paid for soundproofing for the car. They did such a half-ass job, barely putting any soundproofing in my vehicle. The other shop, which I will show pictures of, did a fantastic job. After that, I had signal noise from the shitty wiring job they did, but they also used ok wiring. I had paid for expensive twisted RCA, which they did not use. The other shop tried to fix their sloppy work again, and we still have noise. So the other shop had to take everything apart and do a clean wiring job, and we put a way better DSP in the car. Then the starlights went out, which they installed. My guy had to open shit up back again because they just left the module dangling wasn't secure to anything. The only part of the job they did well was the installation of the rear speakers. I had a custom subwoofer box made by them and a subwoofer installed. They didn't even use the proper screws to install it, which made the subwoofer leak air. Then we found a leak in the box they also built for me. I will never use them again!!!!! Don't you think somebody that spent over 16k total with a business would make sure to do you right? Not with Proline. After they get your money, they don't want anything to deal with you. Luckily I found an amazing shop that treats its customers right. I love how my car sounds now. There is a reason they have had a lot of bad reviews in the last year. Brought an exotic car here to have a high-end radar system installed. After much research, it seemed like Pro Line was the place to come to, even though other shops seemed to "specialize" in radar installs. I stopped by and talked to Victor and he assured me he had a highly knowledgeable guy for radars. We agreed on a price (this radar with install is thousands of dollars) and set up an appointment. I come to pick my car up and I immediately meet the installer. He tells me this was the first radar he has ever installed. First red flag. I bring the car home and check through the whole system install. Right away I see that the front bumper sensor is pointing down towards the road (this sensor has to be looking straight forward to do its job, not pointing down at the ground). So I have to bring the car back and have them fix this issue. Takes a few days. This time, I make sure I tell Victor to have the experienced installer fix my car. The new install Guy was very knowledgeable and fixed the sensor. I was annoyed at having to come back a second time but whatever the issue is fixed. Take the car home and a week later I decide to try out the radar system. Driving on the highway, all of a sudden the console that was installed on the dashboard of my car falls off. I am driving trying to read this console and it is dangling in the air with the cord hanging out of the inside of the car. Improperly installed. Now I am pissed. I have to make another appointment with Victor and have someone fix the console, and waste another trip there and back. Finally I go to pick up my car (third time going) and I explain to Victor that the job was poorly done, that a huge amount of my time has been wasted, and that he/Proline should at least do something to compensate me. All I got was a "Sorry" and he left to deal with more customers. Bottom-Line: if you want some basic radio install or some window tinting done, maybe Proline is a cheap option. If you want anything more than that, just be ready for potentially horrendous service and customer service that could care less about you. read more

On Aug 10 I took my vehicle (Benz GL450) to ProLine Audio to have the radio upgraded. I dropped off the vehicle at 1pm and picked it up at 5:30pm. When I picked up the vehicle I noticed the Red flashing light w/ a thermometer/check engine light. Neither were on when I dropped the vehicle off. I asked the technician what was going on and he told me that Benz and BMW check engine lights come on when they have work done to them. I asked another question and he called over Victor to give me a product demo. As Victor sat in my car demonstrating the radio within 2 min we had to jump out of the vehicle bc smoke was billowing from under my hood. Victor asked if I was having problems with the vehicle before bringing it in which I was not. I drove it in to Proline with zero issues and no check engine light. I obviously couldn't drive it from the Proline parking lot and two days later had to have it towed to have my radiator replaced. They are denying that they did anything to my vehicle even though it was perfectly drivable with no issues prior to driving it on their lot Less than 2 mos later the radio they installed is NOT WORKING! Victor quoted their no refund policy but who is to be held accountable for the original damage to my vehicle and now for a defective product. They finally fixed the radio issue but I'm now left with the bills that were incurred from getting service there. Radiator repair, tow truck expenses and rental car fees while I waited for my vehicle repair. Totaling almost $2k. Proline general manager Shef offered me $200 which was insulting and dismissive. I will be pursuing this matter legally. If you want subpar service and vehicle damage this is the place to go! read more

Hello I usally don't leave reviews ive been going to proline for about 3 yrs when I first went to proline on Atlantic and Miller. I met all the guys and the manager there that I knew by the name of guy he and the guys treated me amazing ran into a couple bumps in the road, but always found the resolution. They then took guy and switched him to another store is what I was told and now they have a little short guy name Guy who is the manager now he works there with a great guy name Anthony , and since he took over, I've been coming back-and-forth and having nothing but problems seems to me like he is trying to pump so much work out of there quickly and the quality of the work is not being assessed correctly. I have spent an excessive amount of money there doing my music. I've done nothing but go back and forth for months recently put a $2000 radio in the car. Prior to that being put in I had no feedback coming out of my speakers you would think changing the radio it would sound better unfortunately it did not, and had all this white noise coming from my speakers. Can't say he didn't try to help me at first a few times but he was rushing the job and every time I left the problem was still there, I've always tipped all the guys I've gotten along with all of them and unfortunately today it turned out to be not a good situation when I was driving the car I noticed when I open my glove box noise gets louder when I slam the glove box annoys, get and turned down instead of trying my theory I told him because his thing was he just wanted to change my radio and get me out of there but how is that fair to me when I've been doing all this back-and-forth and I don't live close that you do that I was happy with the sound not with the white noise sound that it was making so I told him about what I found and that it was probably something that was crossing paths with each other wires so I told him to check that he then asked me but what if that doesn't work I told him then if that doesn't work, then you can proceed to give me my stock radio back and reimburse me. He refused to listen to what I was saying we've been argument, he called the police and I've been a loyal customer and that's how I get treated on Friday. I asked him to speak to the owner. He told me he would be here Monday. Monday came no owner. and refused to give me the owners number I can't understand how somebody who spends the amount of money I've spent there in the amount of time and money that I had to lose by being there do I get told I can't come back in the time that I've been going. They have been nothing but a gentleman I have treated everybody fairly, so they're now changing my radio putting my stock radio back in because they can't figure the problem out. How is that professional you're supposed to do something with audio you should be able to figure out the problem. I had a remote alarm installed on my car in December. Since then I've been back four times for the same issue. The third time was because my car shut off in the middle of a busy street and my dash just started to light up. I took it back and the guy I dealt with was nice and had it taken care of. So this this past Sunday, my remote start wouldn't work. When I start the press the remote start, the dash lights up, the radio comes on but the car doesn't start. I came back this morning because google says they open at 9am . At 8:45, I was outside waiting and they didn't open until 9:10. So I get in and I tell them what my problem was and the guy takes the keys and says he'll, have someone look at it. Twenty minutes goes by and I don't hear anything and I have to go to work. I go up to the counter and ask verbatim "hi, do you know how long for my car?" The guy that I handed my key to says "I don't know", the older guy(I don't know his name but he's the oldest guy that works there and he has a very strong Italian accent) says in the nastiest way a man would speak to a woman" you just got here, the car is being worked on, you just gotta wait, I don't know what to tell you. 1. I was outside waiting since 8:45 2. They started working on my car late and their reason was the guys had to clean up the shop 3. This is not a "the customer is always right rant". I went into an establishment, was polite and in return was disrespected. 4. This is the fastest way to lose customers. 5. This is in no way an attack on the quality of work they do. I understand that these devices are man made and they need "a tune up or maintenance " ever so often. This is my 5th car I've brought here and I've always been satisfied with their work. Their customer service is what sucks. All in all, the manager was there for the incident and he apologize and said he would speak to the gentleman. Came here for tints with a Groupon. The customer service was great, the only problem is I had a 9am appt (was there on-time), and they didn't start work on my car till shortly after 10am and finished after noon. Nitro did good work on the car, and I'm satisfied with it thus far. The Groupon, however, did not specify the tints is only for the legal limit 70% and if you want darker (which I did) it's an extra $10 per window. This should of been disclosed to the buyer before purchase, or even on the phone when booking your appt. read more

Great Service!! Brought my Truck in for VIPER autostart installation. Dropped off theTruck in the morning and the owner had one of the staff drop me work since I worked close by. Truck was done early but didn't have to pick it up until the afternoon. Installation was clean and professional, I couldn't tell the equipment was installed. Got a mini tutorial on how to use the hardware and I was on my way. Brought in my car April of 2021 spoke to victor and agreed on a audio setup and my car was ready a week later. the bass and speakers were still connected to the car's fake exhaust system and made me come back the next day 5 hours for them to simply turn it off, the car was horribly tuned causing major audio clipping and distortion by putting the volume up to half because they had not set it up properly. i was given a 1 year warranty and when i came back 8 months later to finally get it retuned i was refused service cause i wasnt in the "system" and the victor wasnt there to vouch for me, they argued with me and made me feel like i was a liar and put me through the ringer for 3 hours. i was told to come back the next morning AGAIN and they decided to fix it for me and one of the workers comes up to me saying that they lost their database which implies the big fat dude lied to me to me about not being in the system so they could get away with not doing my car. I spent 1000 for the speakers alone (focal PC 165 FE 2x front+ separate tweeters + 2 in the back) and they still sound like garbage with the new tune, im speechless and pained to have spent 2100 at this place. read more

I had a contact recently get a Viper 5704 alarm installed by their team and they did a great job. Will provided hands on product knowledge, brand authenticity, sensible pricing and sincerity that is unmatched in NYC. If your looking for one of the few remaining shops in NYC to get your Auto needs filled then this is the place. Written in 2012 Cheap HID kits from China sold for $100 and blows within weeks then tries to charge $30 for ballast replacement every time. Manager Chef is more crooked than Dick Cheney in his prime! Avoid this place like the plague! Since new management takeover the quality and service is gone down hill and is headed for closure. The are going to do anything to make a buck and cant be trusted anymore. S/Chef.... the buck stops here! Never again, almost destroyed my 120k car, disconnected the battery put the car offline which a car of this nature should never have done to it, This faulty sound system blew my fusebox and caused me to almost lose my whole ecu tune. Pay over 3k and get mediocre work how great thinking I should make a video. Their timeframe was way off they said 1-2 days to install everything and held the car for over a week. The called me to inform me my car was ready and it wasn't. They said they had to wash it, while 30 workers stood around looking clueless as what their job is and no one cleaning my car. I said forget it don't clean it and an hour later I finally got my car out of there. They also installed the positive and negative to the amp to close to eachother it burnt a whole in my trunk before blowing my fuse box. Dont trust these people new owner and they have no clue what they are doing hopefully they close again they don't deserve to be working on cars maybe deserve working in a scrap yard or something of that sort. Went here because the new (used) car I bought had blown speakers. That's easy enough to fix (or cheap enough for my budget, rather) so still got the car. But I also wanted the OEM stereo replaced by one that had 21st-century thingamabobs like ... Bluetooth, USB plug-ins, and AUX lines. Proline did a great job with the installation. But it took 3-1/2 hours to get it done. With a very small waiting room and a very large TV turned to something you don't want to watch, and not much in the neighborhood in terms of shopping or eating (unless you like watching customers and servers fight at the McD's nearby), it can be a very painful wait. It would've helped to know how long the job would take or, better, to make an appointment. You know what Pro line cleaned up really well. Shef, the owner contacted me about the tints & asked me to come in. Not only was he beyond professional, he created a welcoming atmosphere. He offered to redo my tints which was the only thing I really wanted, but he hooked it up with WAYYY BETTER Tint film.
