I am upgrading this to a four. Lots of food choices, a truly phenomenal T&T but what stands out more than anything is that this place focuses heavily on Security and is safe for everyone. They now have a pickleball court which was busy. Malls are changing with the times to include indoor exercise facilities and a range of food options, while focusing less on traditional retail. My sister and I were recently visiting Toronto and visited the Promenade to grab coffee with our cousin. We planned for extra time so that we could walk around the mall. It's been many years since we've been in the Promenade, and it probably wouldn't be a surprise that we barely recognized it as a lot has changed. We stopped by in the early afternoon on a Friday. My sister and I met my cousin at Tim Hortons in the food court. While my cousin and I both enjoyed a beverage and a donut at Tim Hortons, my sister instead opted for Yogenfruz. My sister later had lunch at Sushi-Q while I chose Feta & Olives. We were surprised a number of the food vendors were closed on a weekday afternoon. We then stopped in Roots, Dollarama, and Olive Branch. There were certainly a variety of different vendors, and it was fun to learn there was now a pickleball place in the Promenade. The Promenade has a Guest Services team that staff the counter located at the Bathurst Street Main Entrance. The mall also offers free Wi-Fi, complimentary wheel chairs, access to SmarteCarte Self-Serve strollers, and family parking options at each of their main entrances with parking options for expectant mothers and parents with young children. The hours at the mall are Monday through Friday from 10 AM to 8 PM and Saturday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM. There are holiday hours published for Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. This Thornhill mall is okay... As it stands now, it's not much of an attraction for people to go there as there are very few anchor retailers and some empty stores. There are revitalization plans for this centre in the future with enhanced retail stores and transportation routes to get around this mall. Especially now that more condos are building in this area could mean more demand and investment. It looks promising from what I heard in a press release that there would be two additional grocery stores, LCBO, health club, drugstore and more... Is it necessary to have two more groceries when T&T, No Frills and Walmart Superstore are nearby? It does skew a more mature/aging population in Thornhill, though so maybe this is what the community wants. What I personally want to see is garden centre/plant store/hydroponics store, more experiential stores, bigger brands or local gems, better food options, or something like Yorkdale, that draws people in. What I found neat is that recently SUSO roller skating is set up here indoors in place of the once H&M. Other go-to spots would be T&T, Dollarama, Imagine Cinemas, Popeyes, Miniso and Jollibees. It's been many years since I've been to Promenade Mall, maybe as long as 35 years. I dropped in while I was in the area recently. Nothing looked familiar. I guess there have been many changes over the years, or my memory isn't as good as it used to be. There was tons of parking available and I made my way in at the Jollibee entrance. I was surprised to see so many vacant stores. Some of them were occupied but closed for business. I found my way to the center of the mall, which was very spacious and open to three levels. It was also home to many dining tables and the adjacent food court. This is where I found most of the shoppers/diners. I expected to see many more shoppers on a Friday evening at 4pm. The progress of Thornhill's shopping destination is a slow but sure progress. I can see the new ownership, Serruya Equity Limited, is remerchandising the centre into a place for everyone with new, trendy, and community driven businesses for the people in the vacinity. A new grocery store, Olive Branch, is a reflection of the area... you also have The Nosh and Howie T's, Cake It, Mamilla and Sweet Jesus. There's also the most sought out places like Bath and Body, Rexall, T&T, Showcase, Popeye's, and St Louis Bar and Grill... Pickleball, Bowls and Blasters, Gong Cha, Pur and Simple and other tenants are going to join the mix... even Good Life and I can go on... BUT small and big box tenants under one roof is going to be epic. My suggestions Craigs Cookies, Second Cup, Apple Store, FOX and FOX Home, Uniqlo, and Your Holy Land. Keep the mix and multi-generational shopping experience alive! Last, please... the common area flooring and ceiling need upgrades and the bannisters and railings and washrooms. I recently visited Promenade Shopping Centre because I had a Groupon for Cinnaholic. I rarely visit this mall, but it is on my route home from work. I had no problems finding parking on a Friday night. There were lots of parking spots. This mall is clean and bright. I went through the main entrance. On the left is guest services. I had no problem finding Cinnaholic, which is near the food court, but stands as its own store. There are a number of stores that I like, such as Nygard (comfy pants with four-way stretch), The Body Shop (the shower sponge made out of recycled plastic bottles is amazing), and more. The food court isn't anything to get excited over. Maybe I'll have something there for dinner someday and see how I feel. I am looking forward to Jollibee opening up. There's still a sign saying that it is coming soon. It's so vague that I have no clue when that'll be. There is a huge T&T at Promenade. It looked pretty busy. I will need to go in one of these days and see if I make it out alive. I like the pathway that is just outside the main mall entrance. It has pretty flowers and benches for tired shoppers to rest. The shopping mall is less crowded compared to other shopping malls considering the size of it. Most of the stores were either vacant or closed when we visited. But, the food court was rather busy, which made sense for the weekend. T&T Food Market has an overpowering scent of fish which just isn't my thing and I didn't want to get close to it. It's good when you need a particular item from a specific store; get in the mall, go straight to that store, buy what you need and leave. read more

The Promenade Mall is a Cadillac-Fairview Mall. All Cadillac-Fairview Malls have a similar look and feel, and The Promenade is no different. The mall is big and very clean. It has all the usual stores. The anchor store I guess is Sears. They also have a Rainbow Cinema. The drug store here is Pharma Plus. Something I found surprising is that they have a T&T Supermarket in the mall(!) How cool is that? The food court is nothing special, all chain restaurants (the usual suspects like McDonalds, Subway, KFC, Thai Express, Teriyaki Experience, etc.). They have contemporary brands like Coach and BCBG, but also cheaper fast fashion like Dynamite and H&M. No luxury brands. There is a Scarpino Shoes here that carries Miz Mooz, Fly London, and other brands of funky shoes that are harder to find. I thought this was the coolest store in the mall. However, the prices are pretty high. I saw a pair of Miz Mooz boots there for 3 times the price of what I paid at the Town Shoes Outlet 2 years ago. The Promenade Mall must have special designation as a tourist attraction or something because these guys are open on statutory holidays. I think the only day they are closed is Christmas Day. They are open when other malls are closed like Thanksgiving, Good Friday, Victoria Day, Canada Day, Labour Day, etc. read more

This is a beautiful, spacious neighbourhood mall. We are lucky to have this mall - for me, it's within walking distance from my house which is perfect. The architecture of the mall is just wonderful. Lots of natural light. It looks whimsical, like a modern day storybook castle. Great gathering place. Great place for a mall walk when it's cold outside. With Nortown's, Fruit of the Land and T&T there are lots of specialty places to shop for food, too. Most of the mall caters to women's fashion and aesthetics. But there is EB games, Sport Chek, Bonkers, The Source, Dollarama and lots of other finds, too. There are two dental offices in the mall(!) and other stuff that's convenient to have, in the 3rd floor offices, like a notary public and child-focused centres. The cozy Imagjne theatres with reclining leather seats are the best value in town for movies. Hint- book online in advance and reserve seats as the large reclining chairs take up a lot of space so there aren't many in each theatre. All in all, an important community space that's been around for decades and hopefully many more. read more

Not that I am going to pay full price for one! :) What more can you ask? - Aveda for spa products or even a treatment - T&T for grocery Shopping - Congee Wong for lunch - Aroma Expresso Bar for a little Java break - Davids Tea the only one in the surburbs - Lululemon for looking good when you burning off the food you eat! I also enjoy the openess and the emptiness of the Promenade. There are tons of skylights and windows. The natural lighting makes walking around doing nothing so much more enjoyable! One time I even did a fundraising yoga event in the hallway just outside Lululemon at 10 PM! read more

3 star rating these days. Solid 3.5 in the past and maybe 4 in future? Promenade is one of the Cadillac Fairview family members so it has a decent standard; however, this is smaller and less upscale than, say, Fairview Mall, in comparison. I used to be a weekdaily visitor when I worked around here, and it's definitely in transition at the moment. I hadn't shopped here since early in 2018 or so and I noticed that a LOT of the stores have moved or closed down, including some major chains like Pickle Barrel or Second Cup - those are no longer here, and the replacements are not as established (I can't even remember the name of the restaurant that replaced Pickle Barrel, and Second Cup is now a Booster Juice). Second Cup likely packed and vanished in the wake of the Aroma Espresso that opened up in the centre of the food court where you have the skylight and "indoor patio style" seating area. Meantime, McDonald's is boarded up with no indication of if or where it's coming back, and even Tim Hortons, which is still operational, will be moving into another boarded up section around the food court which does have "Coming Soon" notices for the franchise. A lot of emerging chains like Mini So;) and Mo's Pretzels have moved in. Upstairs, the Coach store has gone, as well as a lot of the other well known establishments such as LuluLemon and The Body Shop. The mall seems to be losing all its big name draws in the wake of the Sears bankruptcy, and slowly replacing everything with the kind of neighbourhood stores that target the immediate surrounding area. In this case, that's more children's stores, and lesser known new franchises or even one-of's like the kind you get at Centerpoint. While the area is affluent enough, its regulars seem to be the nannies and seniors who are very frequent shoppers, as opposed to the high spenders who now have to go to Yorkdale or elsewhere for the luxury items. The huge Richtree Marche is long gone, and none of the subsequent restaurants seemed to be able to replace it in terms of grandeur - it's now morphed into 2 separate businesses, one being a sushi counter, and the other being a middle eastern restaurant which retained the side closer to the enclosed seating area that used to be reserved for the Marche. The most noteworthy newcomer seems to be the Starbucks, which likely turns its highest profit from the high school kids who swarm in here during the week. It's still a decent mall in terms of parking, overall size, cleanliness, and general ambience. There's Wi-Fi and a number of salons which are better than MagiCuts or what have you. The theatres were nicely overhauled a long time ago and remain a great option for discounted ticket and low volume screenings offerings. The Curio Spa on the ground floor is an example of the higher end places that seem to be leaving with their next lease expiry. I also heard that condos are due to be built here. Very curious to see what it will become in the next 1-2 years but in the meantime, not very much to offer beyond the good bones of the structure. By that, I mean it's a very nice mall to head to if I want to walk around a lot indoors, because it's big and bright and not at all rundown. Otherwise, not much reason for me to come back now that I'm not working in the area, except maybe the T&T supermarket - and even then, I have Nations in such proximity to home that there's not much point. I used to work at the Rocky Mountain within the food court area and we were once told that there were plans to take down the mall for some condominiums, but I guess that never came to light. Promenade Mall has never been my favorite place to shop due to its lack of good store choices, but it's slowly improving. Recent renovations have placed many new food options around the mall such as A&W, Popeyes, and the very popular, Jollibee! Even Tim Hortons has been relocated to a brand new, much nicer spot, just adjacent to the food court. As a result, Promenade is a good spot for food rather than clothes or other goods - including T&T for groceries as well! read more

Same old people sittings at restaurant section every single day they don't contribute anything to the mall they sit down and drink coffee and chit chat . If you are 65 + and you want to do your daily exercise it's a perfect place you can Walk for hours and nobody will bother you will not bump to anyone because there is nobody in the mall . I hope all the tenants are getting a huge brake for their rent otherwise they will all close one by one . Promenade seems to lose its charm for me. I equally enjoy major malls and neighborhood malls but Promenade Mall just won't do... The area itself is great with a lot of shopping options but mall is pretty boring, especially after Sears is gone. Besides, food court is sub par. I agree that a lot of clienteles (not staff) are actually pretty rude here for no reason. The charm of T&T is going as well. Used to be my favorite place for lunch as I was not into the mall food court but their food quality greatly declined since the self serve food stand. Okay I guess that would make another review.. Promenade Mall is one of the busiest malls in Thornhill. Extremely busy, the parking lots are always EXTREMELY FULL. The mall is really nice and the inside has a clean, sleek urban feel to it after being renovated. The mall has two floors and has stores from Bath and Body Works to Coach, a grocery store (T&T can you believe it?!) a movie theatre (Rainbow Cinema) and a bunch of jewelry stores (also an LCBO close by for all you drinkers *wink*) Shoutout to the Coach at this mall, I once asked for a dust bag that wasn't given to me with a purchase and they were happy to give me one. :) This mall is the definition of a luxury mall that has all your needs from A to Z! The food court has a wide selection of food and even has a McDs which is pretty surprising. There's always something going on here, whether it be a contest or a company showing off a new car in the middle of the mall! :) 4/5! read more

I remember when this place opened up they had pretensions of class and exclusivity. Today, with the Sears on it's way out. they are facing the reality of being anchored by T & T and ...Dollarama! How did things go wrong? Did all the real money move to the west (Vaughn Mills, Colossus)? I don't think so, I see lots of Tesla's & Maseratis in the neighborhood - they're just parked in the Walmart lot up the street! Times have changed. Staff morale seems low in most of the stores. They've always been missing a Hudsons Bay but I guess it would have been a threat to the ones at Centerpoint & Hillcrest. I wish they kept the Marche instead of the rip-off Aroma. I feel slow malls like Promenade & Hillcrest can't be energized by stores & shopping alone. They need ACTIVITY places to attract new people, some of whom will then do shopping along the way. By activity, I suggest things for people to DO, things they CAN'T do online - like an indoor sports complex with rock-climbing, maybe mini-golf, martial arts, mma/boxing club. At the other end, there could be art or sculpture studios rentals with daily workshops and group classes available. A kitchen wares store that also hosts cooking & tasting events. Change things up a little instead of fighting the same losing battle against trendier malls and the Internet. read more

Promenade is a pretty good mall even though there really isn't a lot to look for or do. I primarily spend my time there either getting new shoes, getting Baskin Robbins, quietly looking at pop figures at the EB Games or Bonkers and watching movies at the Rainbow Cinema. I like that it's close to my neighbourhood and it's a fairly quiet place to look around but not enough stores inside interest me compared to Eaton Centre. read more

I'm a regular at any mall, this is one of my rare visits at promanade, and I cannot believe how different the people and the staff are here! I prefer to hang out in Woodbridge, vaughan mills is one of my faves! I cannot believe how a few minutes of driving can change people! Everyone here come off soo snobby and rude! Who shops here? No eye contact, no hellos, no excuse me's! It's like they want you to feel invisible! No common curtesy whatsoever. I was trying on $200 dollar shoes, you'd think Someone would greet you, or come offer you so help, a size perhaps? NOTHING! I am very disappointed with this all and the people in it! Promenade is a really basic mall in the `burbs. Think the Fairview of Thornhill. It has all your necessities, but nothing special. I mostly come here for the cheap cheap movies @ Rainbow, (I saw Cloud Atlas there recently! AMAZING MOVIE!!) and the food at the Pickle Barrel. Whatevs, I love the pickle barrel. BUT MOSTLY, I COME HERE TO ROAM AROUND T & T. BEST. PLACE. EVER. Seriously. It's got wildlife (in the fish tanks), delicious food from every culture, and...free samples. Why would I ever go anywhere else? If they served alcohol, I'd probs never leave. read more

For those who have read my reviews on the individual stores in Promenade Mall, you will know I love this place. This mall is high end enough (Club Monaco, Coach, BCBG) that it attracts people, but it doesn't come with the hustle and bustle you find in Yorkdale and Eaton Centre. Don't forget, you also have your T&T here as well as H&M, Aritzia and Gap. Basically, a hidden gem. The only thing that could do better for this mall are the restaurant choices, however, right across from this mall is a restaurant complex including Mezza Notte which has a great patio in the summer and a nice, large Walmart for all your shopping needs. In any event, I love coming to this Mall because, guaranteed, it has everything I need, with better service at the exact same establishments. Growing up in the area, I have seen the mall go from from high-end and buzzing mall, down to what could be categorized as a dead mall and then through a major revitalization brining back to a high end mall, quite popular mall. The mall is spread out, with a large centre court that used to have a large operable clock tower(chimed every 15 minutes) and three fountains. Once the mall started to go downhill, the fountains were drained and covered up with plywood. Later the clock tower was removed and the fountains were filled in. This made for a large usable centre court, which is the true hub of the mall. The centre court is almost always packed. With the addition of the Israel cafe chain "Aroma", it makes a very buzzing, bright hangout. The centre court ties into the food court which has a Richtree Market as well as typical food-court restaurants, such as, McDonalds, TIm Hortons, KFC, Subway, etc... The upstairs, outer skirts of the mall are another story. It is always quite dead. Feels like you are in another mall. It seems that you could blame poor planning. As it is out of the way. The Anchor stores are also another big negative of the mall. The Sears is in a poor state. It is time for it to be gone! It is a ghost store that always looks like it is closing. Originally, there was a Eaton's on the north end of the mall, which closed and the upper level was converted into mall space, while the bottom was converted into a Chinese T&T grocery store, that stinks up the north end of the mall. It opened when the mall was at a low. I guess no other tenant wanted to fill up the space at the time. It needs to go. Does not fit in with the malls aura. The Rainbow cinema is a 80's era multiplex that has seen better days. In my opinion, Hudson's Bay should move down from Hillcrest to the Promenade and occupy the Sears location, and a upscale type store should fill the T&T space. Something like Whole Foods. Overall, the mall is bright and airy, has a fair selection of stores and is filled with bubbies having coffee! This mall has probably given me a lot of memories of growing up in this neighbourhood. It has also changed a lot too in the past decade, with the renovation of the food court and the mall's interior. I think that the changes have really helped boost the number of visitors. I feel that this mall is a great place to hang out with friends in the food court. Actually, that's pretty much what every one does. On that note, over the years I noticed that the cleaning staff seem to be reduced. Whenever I get to the food court I'm almost always stuck with a dirty table and instead clean it up myself. It's not exactly the mall I would go to for shopping for presents/gifts/major events. I feel that most of the customers either go to T&T Supermarket, PharmaPlus, or Sears. Some of the stores I find don't really fit the interests of the demographics of this community: students; elderly; families; jewish; asian. There are considerable pockets of the mall that hardly see any visitors... It's very likely that a lot of the products being sold are too expensive. I think the rest of the mall needs some warmer lighting during the fall/winter season... something to make it more attractive to go upstairs. As well they could really benefit from having some events at the mall or even a weekly customer appreciation day (like they do at Eaton's Centre). read more

Yesterday was my first visit to this mall. While it probably won't win any special awards for architecture or design, it is nicer than most, with a lot of skylights and a bright, airy feel (even more so than Yorkdale). The selection of non-anchor stores is heavily weighted towards women's apparel. As this is the bread and butter of shopping centre marketing, it would seem to indicate they do well in attracting tenants and I noticed the window displays have some very sharp looking dresses. Anchors include a T&T, a Sears and an Old Navy. As I went here primarily for the T&T, I did not stop at the food court. Would like to look around it a bit more. The Sunday afternoon clientele seemed to be about 50% East Asian (mostly Chinese and Korean), about 10% Orthodox Jews, and about 30% Russians. The girl approached me, I asked the price, she took the shoe and without a word took to the counter. I followed and said she very rudely do you want a size. I asked for my size and took a seat. My favourite shops at this mall: Old Navy, Lululemon, Guess, Mexx, Jacob's and the restaurants. The bad side is that it's a tiny mall and they carry only a small selection compared to the same brand stores in other malls. read more

Let's admit it. This mall is NOT worth the trip if you live more than 20 minutes away... Keeping it short, however, this is a great place to go if you live nearby, has a nice enough food court and is slowly becoming more upscale. Keep in mind, that Promenade Mall was built as more of a 'village shoppes' than an boutique complex. What I really like, however, is that you get a nice mix of crowd, and most of the stores have local, friendly salespeople. Great, by the way, if you just want to pick up a couple things. Pros: they do have a movie theatre (admittedly, not the best, but its cheaper...), some nice upper mid level shops (Coach, Swarovski, etc...), as well as an LCBO nearby - I'm not an alcoholic! This place has been renovated & it looks great. I only saw the food court & movie theatre as I meeting some relatives for a movie one weekend. But what I did see looked nice. This mall is odd to me. That's the word to describe it. Odd. It has a lot of stores going for it and a giant T & T yet on a Saturday it's DEAD. Like I've seen Markville Mall in MNarkham busier on a Tuesday morning than it was here on Saturday. I enjoy a quiet mall and everything but it was weird... A lot of the workers in this mall were just standing there because there were no customers in there. I felt weird to even go into those stores. But I have to say there is a lot of variety and you can get all your shopping done here. From grocerys to lcbo outside the mall and all the random stores packed into the mall itself. this mall still has a dollarama which is wonderful and a bunch of stores I have not seen in a while, like Sirens and Urban Planet...(like who is still shopping there...) Like in hindsight this mall has everything you need in one go. It's not a bad mall to go to. It is very quiet and you can get a nice stroll in then pig out in the T&T food court. read more

I love this Mall. I only come here few times in the past 8 years of my stay in the GTA. My only favorite part of it is the movie theater although I only went there few times with my old friends many years ago, Rainbow Cinema never fail to give its customer good deal even I have to add that their popcorn is better than the expensive popcorn from Cineplex (They do not give extra butter, even at the first buy of popcorn they put so little probably only 1/8 of the popcorn was covered with butter that isn't even creamy, while at Rainbow Cinema(including other locations) they covered the popcorn with butter which makes it tasty and creamy, obviously if you don't like butter you have to tell them not to put extra). That was until I always go there now since I have a baby, I stroll there a lot. If you have a baby or children continue reading my review! Otherwise, skip to the last paragraph. I live closeby probably 7 mins drive, this summer I walk from home to the mall as my exercise. I love the new renovations they made, lots of stores, summer sale for kids section I bought like 11 baby clothes for $35 in total (Lucky me), this is at Old Navy. Since I have a baby, I often go to kids stores they open more new stores maybe that's the reason why I love this mall even more because of the childrens stores available which is better than wasting energy and money downtown. The lists of kids stores I can name them all unbelievable! The mall has two floors when you enter it is the 2nd floor then, the lower level where the foodcourt is located is 1st floor. Gymboree, Old Navy, GAP, Urban Kids (Newest, they have good prices), H&M, The Cradle (For newborns mostly, they have a lot of fancy and cool items for babies, if you are looking for gifts for baby shower check this store), The Children's Place (less stars I'm giving it 1 star for this store in this location, first off if you build your childrens store and has baby items please expect strollers! meaning it's too crowded inside not enough space to manuever not even two strollers around and along the gap between racks of clothes would fit in there let alone the employees folding clothes there, then my stroller needs to squish but I went the other way around the racks since we won't fit at all if I pass my stroller there, which then made me just leave the store I don't have time pushing my stroller in a so tiny gaps in between and don't want to bother the other customers.), Justice (Only for girls store? Its cute), Claire's (for accessories), OshKosh(isn't in this Mall but outside across Walmart) thought you'd like to know. For shoes, Browns store has both Adults and kids! Other than that, I don't buy foods in the foodcourt it's extremely busy unless there isn't line up. They have several ones including Baskin Robbins, Tim Hortons, and other fast foods. They only have Rexall, No shopper's drugmart, TnT, and Dollarama. read more

Nortown is the best meat and the cleanest butcher around. I've been shopping here since it opened at the Promenade location. The best ready prepared meats around. I will come here for my meats, challah bread, salmon, and everything else forever. read more

Heard about it. Visited. And loved it. Just wish I had had more time to check things out. They offer stores like urban planet, old navy, Suzy, and coach, to name a few. The layout is very open and the mall itself is well kept. Can't wait to go again! read more

After visiting here today, I had to bump my review down based on my experience in the food court. People are very inconsiderate and this food court on the weekends proves it. Its not even a full blown court yet its over populated with people who just sit around and take up tables. The older people pretty much just socialize while others who actually purchase food in the court have to make circles just to find a table which is usually dirty from other peoples inconsiderate filth. read more

This review is for the Virgin Mobile booth located near the T&T supermarket. The manager there was very helpful of us even though we didn't purchase anything there. We bought a prepaid sim from a cell phone shop next door and the rude worker there didn't know how to activate the data service on our iphone. We wandered out of the store frustrated and asked the Virgin manager if he could help and he did! read more
