I knew what to expect here and it was out of this world and intriguing. It's like a museum to me. Think gothic, Halloween, tales from the crypt, dark and gloomy, dark science lab, oddities, witch craft. So many ideas passed through my head, but it was especially eye catching, surprising and interesting. It's small but fully loaded up with stuff to see. Check it out! Everyone was especially nice working here and they have a coffee tea bar here. Pretty cool unique concept. Can't find this everywhere.

Fantastic customer service! Everyone is super nice and helpful! Hands on store, you can touch and explore all their unique items! If you love spooky this is your place to go!

Very small niche spot for exotic oddities! We stopped here wanting to do some Halloween shopping. We knew they were gothic in nature and has seen ads online, but we didn't really look further into it before visiting. It was an amazing experience walking into a photo op and seeing they had fresh coffee grounds and breed tea - along with wet specimens and taxidermy. Attached are photos of my favorite squirrel! We are BIG fans and are already planning out a display shelf for our (future) goods.

Such a fun store with a lot of cool novelties they change it every once in a while the different themes they have a lot of horror items for purchase as well as Gothic items from necklaces to more bizarre items, such as taxidermy and snakes and fun things in jars. Great place to get things to decorate your house, clothes to wear, and fun jewelry.

For all the goth and spooky souls out there. This shop has everything you need. I took my time to look at everything here. It is decorated with something interesting in every corner. I got a Nosferatu T-shirt and a Coffee Shop of Horrors bag of coffee. The store has jewelry, swords, cosplay clothing, herb jars, taxidermy and trinkets.

In the non descript shopping plaza, Shoppes Howell Branch is the self proclaimed weirdest coffee shop in Orlando. I also anoint it the coolest shop in Orlando. Welcome to Prometheus Esoterica, an oddities boutique in the Abbey Rose Vintage Shop, curated by husband and wife, Adam DeLancett and Whitney Hayes. I have really wanted to visit here ever since discovering them on social media. On a trip to Winter Park to visit my daughter I finally got an opportunity to satisfy my curiosity. Inside the dark interior is an eclectic assortment of items from the owners private collection mixed in with taxidermy, antiques, uranium glass, goth clothing, books, old photographs, artisan made crafts, candles, gemstones, accessories, plush toys, coffee, and tea all for sale. You can take your coffee and tea with you to make at home or enjoy a freshly brewed cup in the store. You can easily imagine that Wednesday Adams or Lydia Deetz would feel right at home here. Friendly staff are around every corner to chat, offer suggestions, or give you the history on the unusual specimens like the two headed fetal pig named Ham and Bacon. I love supporting small businesses and I purchased a sweetly spooky Pennywise headband for my daughter. Other favorite items included a bat bottle opener and an opossum coffee mug that you turn upside down to use. Prometheus Esoterica will be participating in the Orlando Oddities and Curiosities Market on June 29th at Osceola Heritage Park. Follow them on Instagram to keep up on all the latest and greatest merchandise.

I love this store. It's hard to find really good gothic places and this one is definitely up there. They serve great coffee and tea and have an awesome environment of cool items and oddities. The price for a cup of coffee is fair and cheap and worth it to try the rotating flavors. My only complaint is that I have the bad luck of when i find a ring i like there, my size is out. And would like to find some good pants but otherwise, love the place and try to swing by anytime I'm in town

I can't believe I waited so long to check out this shop! It made my oddity loving self so happy! The store has a variety of unique items, clothing, art, decor, old time medical related items, wet and dry specimens (which I was happy to hear were humanely sourced), and many other things. On top of all that, they serve yummy coffees and teas that are very inexpensive. The staff here were all friendly and happy to answer questions or give more info about their unique items. The staff let us know that items rotate regularly and soon they will be having items themed more towards ren faire style. It gives a great reason to go back and see the rotation of stock for sale. If you enjoy things that may be considered strange and unusual, check this place out!

I can't believe I have left Florida for three years and I have never been here. This Hass to be the coolest store I have ever been in. From the taxidermy on the walls, to the animals in the little jars, and all the oddities and curiosities your heart can desire in one space. I might've spent a couple dollars here; however I talked to the staff and they are unbelievably nice. One of the gentleman in the store talking to me he mentioned I should check out a Bar called permanent vacation so I'm definitely gonna have to go there. I picked up a Viking Necklace, a bat necklace, a spooky clown sticker and a stunning colar. If you like anything spooky an audit you should definitely come here it is right next to Donut King across from nothing on Howell's Ranch Road. 10/10

Ecstatic to have found a year round Spooky coffee shop! @prometheusesoterica is a boutique shop with endless displays to explore. From specimens to tarot cards to witchcraft books, there are many cool items for sale. They offer different 'Coffee Shop of Horrors' coffee grounds to make at home or sip while you shop. I enjoyed the "Ichabod's Dame Pumpkin Spice" coffee with oatmilk and honey. They also sell unique mixes of tea like the "Prometheus Esoterica" in whiskey chai flavor. The place is thoroughly decorated from wall to ceiling with intriguing Oddities. Handicap accessible layout of the store. I truly appreciate the dairy-free creamer option with beverages. My girl friends and I loved dressing in black and indulging in out-of-the-box shopping. I even scored a Wednesday Addams shirt‍. We went home with lots of goodies and already planning our return! I love the concept! The oddities and witchy vibes here drew me in! Definitely a nice change of pace from the mundane of city life! Come for the taxidermy, stay for the coffee! I got a cup of coffee here, and it was delicious. They had a wonderful selection of flavored coffees and teas you can buy as you walk around. Come in and site see with a cup of coffee! The staff were also very friendly and welcoming. Giving my group a tour and explaining the coffee flavors. I'll be back!

VERY unique store! They also sell coffee and tea to enjoy right there in the store. The store gets dressed up for the holidays and always has something new to display. A lot of local vendors sell their art here too. Its normally very busy and being a small store only so many can come in at once. I have seen a line to get in more than once. It's just that cool.

This place is awesome. Such a unique little oddities shop that you never want to leave. The people are amazing and so welcoming. They also have some very on brand coffee that you can purchase and drink while you browse. From books to bones, stickers and wall decor to crystals and salves, this place will have the perfect gift for yourself or someone you love.

This shop is overwhelming in a PHENOM way! We were immediately greeted and told not to hesitate with questions or offers. I fell in love with so many items and they didn't have huge price tags but if I was ready to purchase, I would def try to get a lower price. Everything had so much character. In the back, the huge warehouse housing tables and chairs to pianos to dressers was awesome. It was not air conditioned but that was ok, I hardly noticed as I was checking out all the details in the amazing wood pieces. There was even a black cat roaming around that just added a nice flair of character. You could also see the area where they do restoration and fix pieces. I am still thinking about a dresser that was this amazing green color and I possibly may head back to check it out. I was so happy that my friends and I decided to venture in here or I still would have no idea we had such a great spot in Orlando. I was walking around saying, "Where are we?" I literally felt like I was in another place or time, it was refreshing!

We were greeted upon arrival and checked on while perusing the isles. At first glance, the store seemed a bit small, which turned out to be incorrect; however, even though they had a good many things, including a very pretty wash basin and vanity desk, the place also served as a sort of boutique with lotions, soaps and other items to delight their older customers. As serious antique customers, we prefer real antique stores and unfortunately did not find that had to have item. I think it says something when the customer, after walking a third of the store, starts looking up other antique stores to visit next. It was worth stopping by; however, we will not be adding Wirewood Market to our favorites list for yearly trips.

There is a decent selection of unique and beautiful hand-made jewelry, vintage tools, gauges, and workshop style equipment available as well. The staff here are welcoming and friendly. Pricing is fair, although some items such as vintage Santa and Elf figurines were priced higher here than other local thrift shops in the area. There is a restroom available to customers who shop here. I didn't purchase anything today, but my mom found a bunch of stuff. She was ecstatic to find three Putz Houses (Paper Houses) that she had to buy. Two were selling for $12.95 each and the other for $4.95. The staff were great and gently wrapped all of my mom's items to protect them for the trip back to NY. The store is immaculate and decorated beautifully, we easily spent 45-mn to an hour here. They also have a little coffee station available for customers shopping here and the coffee is very good. There is a lot to see here and if you know anyone who owns a log cabin or cottage, bring them with you because they will be in heaven! I highly recommend stopping here if you happen to be shopping in the area. I know it won't be our last time shopping here.

We were greeted by the owner right away and he was very friendly in offering us any help in opening cabinets or reaching high items. It's a cute shop, with lots of knick-knacks and several racks of clothing. However, it's a bit overcrowded inside and there's little rhyme or reason to the organization. Be careful when moving around because the walkways are pretty tight and it can be scary to maneuver around the more delicate items. Price-wise, I think you're going to have to do a lot of digging to find good deals here. I saw a lot of the tags were marked down, but the overall cost is much higher than I would expect of a thrift shop like this. I ended up leaving because most of the full tea sets were $80-$100 and most of the tea cup + saucers were around $5-$10; which was more than I anticipated for just a party. Overall, I think it's a pretty cool place to explore on a rainy day or if you're looking for a nice activity on a random day, but be prepared to dig around if you're looking for a good deal.

I recommend setting aside at least 45 minutes to an hour to explore--there's so much to see, and they even have restrooms available for customers so you can take your time. The shop features a wide range of vintage and antique items from multiple vendors. Some standouts include a stunning Hand-Carved Carousel Rocking Horse ($2,495), a rare 1880s Wm. L. Gilbert Clock Co. calendar clock ($1,250), an Italian Baroque Secretary ($695), and an Antique Wooden Butter Churn ($375). I also spotted a beautiful 55-piece Harkers Petit Point set ($95), hand-made necklaces ($25-$65), vintage Christmas ornaments, a working vintage pump organ ($175), and a large collection of antique train sets. There's far too much to cover, so trust me when I say--this place is a must-see. The staff here are exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to wrap up my mom's purchases for her flight home. The store is immaculately clean, with well-organized booths and aisles, making it easy to navigate. While most items are easy to spot, be sure to check under shelves and in hidden corners for more treasures; I found several instruments in their original cases tucked away in one booth. For music lovers, there's a booth with a solid selection of rock CDs in like-new condition for just $10 each. Book enthusiasts will appreciate the vintage collections available, like Edgar Allan Poe's Poems and Tales from 1898 ($60) and an older edition of A Christmas Carol ($30), many of which are behind glass cases and require assistance to view. I also found two music books that were great deals: Fun Folk & Frolic Songs for Piano ($2) and John Philip Sousa's Favorite March Book for Bass ($4)--both of which I'm excited to use for practicing music. Pricing varies by item and vendor. Some pieces are reasonably priced, while others are on the pricier side. Each seller has a booth number, and if they're not on-site, the staff will help you contact them for potential price negotiations. However, most prices seem firm, though it never hurts to ask. Whether you're a local or just visiting, The Coop Antiques is a hidden gem that offers something for everyone. I highly recommend stopping by to explore and find something special.
