Took my exam here, and it was an overall good experience. It was pretty busy during check in. I showed up an hour early for my exam, but there were testers that had exam start times earlier than mine, so I ended up waiting 30-40 minutes. Glad to have started at least a little early though! The employees are nice and were pretty organized when letting people into their testing rooms. They provide everyone with lockers and instructions. It was also decorated for the holidays since my exam was in December. The testing rooms are clean and organized, and they have multiple people checking in. They screen you with a metal detector and make sure your pockets are empty before you go in each time, but not when you go out to take a break. Awesome testing experience here, which starkly contrasts the Prometric Center in Houston. Parking: There is a parking garage for Churchill Tower, and if you press the button for assistance at the entrance, just let them know you're a Prometric client and they'll buzz you in FOR FREE, WITH NO TIME LIMIT! Take the elevator back down to ground level to enter the Prometric Center. Experience: The staff was hospitable and fast, helping us clients get in and out of our tests smoothly. There is a bathroom down the hall still within the Prometric suite, which was very convenient. Both of these points contrast the Houston center, where the staff were extremely lackadaisical and without urgency and the bathroom was far from the testing suite. Tip: Google Maps says the center closes at 5 pm, and Apple Maps doesn't even display business hours. The center stays open as long as clients are testing! For me, I was there from 1-9:30 pm. Don't worry if you have a testing time outside of business hours, because they will still accommodate you. read more

Parking inside attached garage 3rd floor, testing center is clean and comfortable. My experience was phenomenal.

Parking was confusing but once I made it in they took me back for my test about 10 minutes after I checked in despite me being there an hour earlier than my reservation. I took the GRE; they supply you with pencils and paper so you can really only bring in your ID and the key to your locker that you can put your belongings in. It was kind of warm in the actual testing room, so bring/wear layers if your body temp is sensitive. Best of luck to all you testing! read more

Have to say I was really nervous about going to this location after reading some of the negative reviews however, thankfully my experience was not bad at all. The employees weren't extra friendly, but they were OK. There was not hardly any wait and when I finished, I signed out and got my stuff back. Why are people giving this place away less than 4 stars? I was sad when my favorite center in Bedford closed but am so happy this one exists. I like this a lot better than the alternative testing center in Dallas. Clean, spacious, and reliable. Staff even gave me a courtesy call a few days before my test. Test started at 8:30am, and I came at 8:30am. No one shamed me, and no one turned me away. I had a big backpack, and they gave me a nice locker. There are several seats inside the testing center to sit and relax. Breaks were also done seamlessly. It would've been nice if someone told me the time at each break, but I'm sure I could've asked too. Food - right across the hall, there's a cafeteria with food. There are are several metal stables with seats (not my favorite) near the cafeteria. but I'm not expecting a Herman Miller furniture! I was too stressed to eat, but I did like my private time sitting near the cafe. Bathrooms were plentiful, clean, and inside prometric. Hooray. Proctors/staff were very nice! There is a parking garage attached to the testing center. I can't remember if I paid for parking. The garage was lit, safe, and convenient! There's also an elevator that will take you downstairs near the cafeteria. All you need to do is walk across to the prometric (in the same building)! Perks are being close to a Costco and hotel (if you need one)! Would test here again and again! read more

This was my second time coming here to take a standardized exam, and oh, how I wish I hadn't. Don't get me wrong, the staff are definitely nice, but there are some environmental factors that may negatively affect your performance on test day. They seat people taking different exams in the same large test room, so depending on what exam they're taking there may be a lot of extraneous typing noises, so definitely bring earplugs since the earphones they provide can only block so much noise. They also are not very careful with background noise leaking into the supervised testing room. Most of the time, the employees will speak regular volume with each other while the door is closing, so you'll hear that noise pollution every time someone enters or leaves for a break. The temperature is not well regulated either -- on both testing days, the temperature would range from overly stuffy to shiveringly chilly and would bounce back and forth between the two. Lastly, they don't do a good job of keeping up with what exam you are taking and it seemed as if they were surprised every time I took a scheduled break. My exam had 7 sections, and I took a little breather after each and at one point the monitor thought I finished so prioritized signing in another person rather than letting me quickly sign out for a break, causing me to lose an extra 10 minutes of break time (a limited commodity!!!) and creating unnecessary stress on an already stressful day. Definitely not coming back here ever. I will gladly drive an extra few minutes to the next nearest Prometric center for my next standardized exam. read more

As mentioned on other comments, this place is horrible. The employees are ok, they could use some training in customer service but my main issue is the TEMPERATURE. It's ALWAYS freezing cold! I have approved accommodations, therefore I had an individual room for testing, worst thing ever. After several requests, the clerk attempted to accommodate by cracking the door to allow the tremendous amount of coldness out but this only allowed loud talking and other irritating noises from her, employees and other test takers into the small & uncomfortable room. The room remained outrageously cold throughout my entire 4 hour exam! Of course, I had on the canceling noise headphones that are provided, I wore my jacket and long pants but it did not help with this situation. Since it's so close to where I live, this is my 4th time using this facility, I'd rather drive hours before I return to this location. If you have testing anxiety or issues with being uncomfortable with extremely cold room temperatures DO NOT GO HERE! read more

The waiting room SUCKS for parents who have to wait (mandatory!) for 4 hours while their minor children take a test. There are 25 office chairs in the waiting room. Right now there is a dad hunched in a chair with his laptop, trying to work. And two women sitting on the floor (FLOOR!) with files and paperwork trying to make the best of the four hours away from their JOBS. It's a library atmosphere in the waiting room, so making work phone calls is impossible without stepping outside (in the damp cold) with the roar of traffic on Coit road. A couple desks or cubicles for parents would be welcomed. And maybe more comfortable seating for those who are waiting for testing would be bonus. Or perhaps tables and a break room? Something for the comfort of their clients. I will NOT be recommending this place to friends whose kids need testing. I'm going to tell them to sign up for Saturday testing at school facilities where you can drop off and pick up your kid when it's over. read more

The manager I think was so freaking rude. She yelled at another employee for helping a customer!! She was like " hey there, you're supposed to be here paying attention. come back here how!! What the hell is wrong with this woman! I wanted to report it on Saturday, but they delayed my testing by more than 1 hour and a half, that I forgot about it when I was done. Unfortunately I didn't pass, but I'm not going there again. I'm going to try another center. If they can't even treat their own employees right how will they treat customers?? I've been here twice for the TEXES exams. I then went to another place for the last of the TEXES exams. I prefer this place. Park on the third/purple level. Take the elevator or stairs down. Check in with the front desk. Fill out the paperwork, lock up your belongings, some more checking in and security check with metal detecting wand, and good luck! Pros/Cons: it can be quick (I was checked in and testing in about 20 minutes), it can be slow (I started testing about an hour after arrival and 30 minutes later than the scheduled time), it's comfortable, clean, chairs are comfortable, noise cancelling headphones are comfortable and effective, it can be loud (I could hear outside conversations the first time), or quiet (no one was talking the second time I tested. DON'T CHEAT! They got cameras EVERYWHERE! Plus, don't be the jerk that diminish the validity of your field. read more

I have been to this location several times while pursuing a designation in my field. There is a huge sign on the building, so it's easy to spot. However, be sure to park on the purple level, not out front in the small parking area. Take the elevator down to the lobby, then exit the glass door immediately to the right. You can walk across to the Prometric office. They prefer that you arrive early and will allow you to go ahead and start testing. Don't bring anything extra (just keys and i.d.). Everything is placed in a locker. You must keep your i.d. with you at all times. Be prepared for them to search you. Empty pockets, raise bottom of your pants, spread your arms out. I don't mind though. As much as I have to study for these exams, I'm glad they ensure that nobody is allowed to cheat. The staff has been very professional. They will supply paper, pencil and small calculator if your exam requires it. I do like the headphones they provide (would prefer earplugs though). It helps me to concentrate better. I asked the proctor if I could have something to wipe off the headphones, and she explained that they clean each desk after every tester. However, she was nice enough to wipe down my desk and headphones for me before I was seated. I really appreciated that, not a fan of germs! There are cameras all over the place, so don't be alarmed. Just realize that someone is always watching you. I'm sure they get a kick out of me doing my happy dance in the seat when I see that "PASS" on the screen!! read more

Prometric Testing - Test Preparation Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I came here to get my ASE certification testing. I passed with flying colors, thanks for asking. First off, you'll need to park on level 3, the purple level. Then if you want to take the stairs, they'll only get you to level 2, so you'll still need to take the elevator to ground level. You'll walk in the door and it looks like the DMV. It's a little off putting. Someone will be with you shortly. It was 3:30pm. You'll need to empty every pocket of yours and read the guidelines. Basically you can't bring anything in that could hide cheat sheets or devices that can help you, not even a watch. They have these rules because some has tried them in some way, shape or manner. "Only Prometric provided tissues are allowed." Once in the testing waiting area, you'll be wanded for paraphernalia and if you go back to your locker, like you forgot to take off your watch, you will be wanded again. Then the testing area is just a bunch of cubicles with cameras on you. Nothing special but you'll be given scratch paper of which you can't take home with you. They don't want people counterfeiting that either. It will be considered misconduct and your test results will be disqualified. I forgot to use the restroom before going in the test area and rushed through the 105 minute testing window in 30 minutes. Turn off your cell phone and leave your Quiktrip slush and everything you hold dear in the locker. Also be a dear and close your locker when you leave. Don't leave it open for some poor soul to hit it when they stand up. read more

DO NOT TEST HERE. I spent months studying and took a week off from work prior to my test date as well to prepare for a board exam. I came to the test and was told the testing center would be closing early that day and that they needed to reschedule me. Well that exam is only offered in the spring and fall for small windows like two-three weeks and that test window was done the next day and no prometric had availability to accommodate me that day or the next. they SCREWED me! now I have to keep studying and take this huge exam again in the FALL. I wasted countless time, wasted PTO, and sacrificed so many hours not spending time with my new infant in order to prepare for this exam. they couldn't even take the time to call my phone # as a courtesy which they had on file -- not that it would have made a difference.. this place is NOT professional at ALL. read more

ATTENTION GRE TEST-TAKERS: this center sits you down in video-monitored cubicles to take the test individually like you're in prison. I had no idea I was going to a test center like this and I was fully unprepared to be held responsible for keeping track of my break when all forms of technology (including watches) were banned. It makes no sense to assume people will be able to track how long they are spending on their break when they do not have watches or clocks to rely on. (There's only one in the main waiting room but none in the bathrooms!) When people collectively take a test together, you know how long you can spend during your break because there are usually reminders announced to the whole group and you can visually see when everyone is returning to continue the test. At the very least, it should be required that there be clocks visible in all areas of these kinds of testing centers so people can keep track of their breaks. I hope this makes sense. I don't want other people to suffer from this huge oversight. It's such a ridiculous way to ruin $200 test scores! Other tips: 1. make sure to go through to the screen that says you can take your break instead of assuming you can take it after the third section. The administrator told me she was going to reboot my test after my break so I assumed that was fine but it was not! 2. Don't panic if you're accused of taking a 20-min break. (I don't know how you could take a 20-min break! That's the length of a whole tv show episode!!) The GRE people will resolve the issue for you and your scores will still be valid. I arrived first thing in the morning- around 7:30 and was the 2nd person in there. A huge rude lady wearing Red made us wait in line. Fine! She took our information one by one and said we'd be called. I waited and waited, while people who came after me were being called in. When questioned, she tells me she's been calling us in the order in which we arrived - and that was ridiculous!!!!!!!! There were 5 or 6 others or may be more who were waiting and waiting and waiting and weren't called. After 2 hours the big lady walked inside and didn't come out. When another person walked out we questioned her, and she apologized and said she'd help us out. I managed to write my exam that day, but was starving by the time I got done. I don't understand how they find our name first and then they make us wait and wait. Guess what when I walked in to write my exam the room had so many empty seats!!!! It's ridiculous. The website asks us to come early and so we do, and still end up waiting an hour past our exam time because they've been letting others go in first!! read more

I was very satisfied with my experience at this Prometric location. The staff is friendly and professional. The facilities, including bathroom, were clean. Everything was in order and how it should be: security, lockers, a comfortable temperature, noise cancelling equipment, etc. As for the fuss about the security measures and wands--this is typical of a testing facility and testing facilities are required to do these things in order to offer highly, highly, highly regulated and secure exams such as the MCAT. read more

I went to this location for CompTIA A+ testing and was impressed with the facility. The testing center is well maintained, clean, and up-to-date. Staff is friendly, but a bit unorganized. Five staff members were manning the front desk, I don't know why. Chairs in the lobby and testing rooms are comfortable. Parking for Prometric clients is on the third level (Purple level) of the parking garage. Parking in the two lower levels has a two hour limit. If you arrive early, the staff can put you in to the testing room before your scheduled time. I arrived an hour early for my test and they got me into the testing room within 15 minutes of my arrival. Lockers are provided, so you can store your things before entering the test room. They have two sizes of lockers, a small size cube and a double tall size. Surveillance is crazy when you're testing, every computer terminal has a camera right above your head. The proctor can see everything you do. Kinda Orwellian, but it's not an issue. A nice touch is that they provide ear muffs to quiet the clicking of keyboards and mice, so you can concentrate better. read more

I was assigned this location to take one of my state tests. I showed up a few minutes early to be safe. I was the only one in the waiting room. The receptionist was so nice and had such an energetic personality. She had me fill out a form, put all my personal items in a locker and follow her to the next room. (Note: you cannot have a cellphone, purse, etc with you. Just yourself. If you wear a jacket into the testing center either put it in a locker or keep it on the entire time. If you take it off while testing they will take it from you and hold it till you're done.) She brought me to another room where they checked my pockets and scanned me with a metal detector wand. I then say with another woman who as well was so nice. She finger printed me, explained the testing rules and brought me into the testing center. I assumed everyone was in there to take the same test. Apparently not. Many schools, business, government employees, etc are sent there to take specific tests. They seat you at a cubicle and give you different sets of headphones. My test had no audio so I took the noise canceling headphones. I wore a light pullover jacket because I always get cold in places. The room would get warm every so often but the air kicked in often and it would be really cold. Overall this was a great place to test. Everyone testing was so respectful and didn't make a ton of noise. The people working were incredibly friendly and easy to work with. There is a parking garage above the testing center that's free to park in. If you have to pick a testing center (some allow you to chose your location) I suggest this one! read more

As if the anxiety from taking an exam isn't enough, the testing center employees were terrible. The receptionist said I could take my jacket in. A few minutes later, while I was being patted down by a TSA employee, I was told I couldn't take it in. She said the room was warm and I would be fine. I believe that comfort and temperature preferences are unique to each individual. I was discouraged from taking my jacket, so I hesitantly placed it in the locker. About an hour into the exam, I was freezing cold and requested to get my jacket. The request was approved with snide remarks and unwarranted facial expressions. This center completely ruined my TOEFL exam on 21st Dec 2014. They have inadequate equipment and tech support. There were 2 people facing issues with their microphones during the test, the person monitoring could not fix them and this caused a lot of disturbance for all the others taking their tests in the same room. The monitoring person was rude and not at all supportive. When I asked how I can give a feedback for the test center as it completely spoilt my exam, she handed me a card with contact details and said - Please give a feedback so that we can get better equipment in the center for future test takers!!! read more

I sat for my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam on June 10th, for which I paid $405.00 through the Project Management Institute (PMI). My appointment was at 8:00 am. I checked in at 7:40 am, and my name and the time I checked in was put on a yellow card; there were also blue and red cards. I was the first registrant to be put on a yellow card. I'm not sure what the difference was between the cards, but there was one monitor assigned to each color. The instructions on the paperwork said to arrive early. I'm not sure why because, although a lot of people I spoke to in the lobby also had 8:00 appointments, the monitors didn't even start calling people back to the testing area until 8:30. I sat, and sat, and sat watching all sorts of people from the yellow card stack get called back to the testing area. When my name was finally announced, I realized I was the LAST person to be called from the yellow card stack. It was 9:35 when I was called back to the testing area with one other guy. From talking to the other guy, I knew his exam was 1 1/2 hours. My exam was 4 hours. When I asked the monitor why it took so long to get in for the exam, all she said was there were others who had an 8-hour exam so they had to get to them first. She looked at my card and saw what time I had checked in and said she was sorry for the wait. If the sequencing of being called back was based on the length of your exam, wouldn't it stand to reason that I would have even been called before the other guy that only had a 1 1/2 hour exam? Just doesn't make any sense to me. So, just to recap, I arrived at 7:40 for an 8:00 appointment, did not get called back to the testing area until 9:35, did not get a chair in the exam room until 9:50. I was the first registrant to be placed on a yellow card, and the last to be called in for testing. I was so stressed out and had such a headache, that I ended up failing my exam. I now have to pay another $175.00 to re-take my exam. Unfortunately, Prometric was the only testing center option the Project Management Institute gave for people wanting to take their PMP certification exam. When I re-take my exam, I will guarantee you I will NOT use the Coit Road location and I recommend others find alternate locations to use as well. The only plus to my experience at Prometric was the kindness and cherry attitude of the woman in the lobby checking people in for their tests. read more

This was by far the most unprofessional testing center I have ever been to. Upon arrival, I was told that the location was short staffed and it would take a little longer to check in. There was one employee sitting at the counter checking in the line of 30+ people while another woman (who I later learned was the manager) leaned against the counter having a very obvious personal conversation on her phone. The employee checking people in was forced to talk over her. After I had been checked in, an announcement was made that one of the test proctors had called in, and everyone assigned to that lab would not be able to test that day. I was one of those assigned to that lab. We were also told that one of the labs did not have air conditioning, and the lab would be shut down. We were handed a business card by the manager and simply told that someone would contact us about rescheduling. No other information was provided. I threw away my paperwork and made the thirty minute trip back home. After I had been home for about 15 minutes, I got a call from the testing center asking me why I had not shown up to the test. I told them I had been there, and was told to go home because the proctor did not show up. I was told a mistake had been made and I was assigned to another lab and could still take the test, so I made the thirty minute drive back. Upon arrival, I was checked in quickly and able to start the test, however one of the employees told me that the reason the other test proctor had not shown up was because she had quit weeks ago, after being forced to work in the lab with no air conditioning. The exam I took has a 10 minute break after the third section, after the time had expired my screen paused and would not automatically move on to the next section. It was fairly obvious that the test proctor had to allow me to move via the proctor's computer, however the testing center was fairly hectic due to the short staff. After waiting ten minutes, I got up to find an employee to give me permission to move on to the next section. The only employee available was the manager, and she seemed extremely annoyed that she had to help me. The manager of the location should be evaluated; as she showed no remorse and offered no help when telling people they would not be able to take their assigned test that day. One person in that group was taking a citizenship test, another had driven from out of state that morning to take the test. She should realize that these tests greatly affect people's lives. I also do not understand how this testing center has no redundancy. Whether or not this test proctor quit or called in sick, this center should not be so reliant on one employee, and should ALWAYS have a back-up test proctor on staff. read more

I'm not sure why they have such a bad rap. They were not only courteous, they legitimately cared about my test day. My test went for 9 hours and the facility couldn't have been better for it.
