We were called this spring about the waiting list after we left our number 2 years ago. I was so surprised they actually still had our info and called, that in itself showed me they were very organized. We counted down the months for my sons first day and now a month into it, I can say already I understand the reason for that waitlist. My son is happy going in everyday and when o pick-him up. Everyone in the staff is personable, I get daily updates, and he's proud to show me his daily paper with what he colored. The sheet also tells me what they covered for stories, what the age, and he's even napping again. So far, we are happy with Promise Care. Although they lack some of the modern amenities that our previous preschool had (I really miss getting those Brightwheel updates!), they are handling Covid with grace and my child feels safe and cared for and that is what matters the most. Unfortunately due to Covid, parents still aren't allowed inside. I still got a chance to see the classroom via a virtual tour and meet his teacher on a few occasions and she is incredibly sweet. My son talks about all of his friends every night, loves the playground, and brings home some cute art projects! He has matured so much just in the 3 months that he's been there, and he quickly stopped crying at drop off because he enjoys his school so much. Negatives would be the lack of an app, not being able to go inside yet, and having to write a check to pay. But, where they lack in modern amenities, they more than make up for it in care and tuition. This is the best priced tuition in the west end for an all day program. I am so thankful that we were able to get in off the waiting list after a 2 year wait and that my daughter will be able to attend next year. We plan to keep both children here until they age out. Thankfully, they pick up from our zoned elementary school so we are set in terms of childcare. It was a rough road to get here - the childcare situation in Richmond is absolutely horrible - but we are here and so thankful! read more

We enrolled our daughter here for Pre-K in 2019 and we are so very thankful that we did! It was our first experience with a daycare out of a home. I felt very comfortable from the beginning that my child was where she needed to be and that she was safe. Every employee I came in contact with seemed to absolutely love what they were doing. My daughter was more than prepared to attend Kindergarten when she graduated Pre-K. They do so many fun activities to keep the children engaged all day long. My daughter loves going to her school. She is happy to go there and doesn't want to go back home. She loves her teachers Ms. Darqueta and Ms. Meme she loves the director Ms. Neven. She learned so much she is truly enjoying her time there. Words can't express how thankful we are to find this school and really cares about students and teaches them great values. Since enrolling our two boys in Promise Care in early 2015, we have continue to be amazed by the level of care and amount of love they've received. Not a day goes by that our kids aren't happy coming home and we've never had any concerns leaving them. All teachers for each level seem to know all of the kids, even if they're not in their specific class. The school is large enough for my boys to gain appropriate social skills, but small enough to not be lost in the crowd. Our son has been attending promise care for 3 months and he is in the infant room. The transition was difficult at first however we are so happy with the wonderful staff. My son started here fall of 2017. He has thrived here emotionally, socially, and soclatically under the direction of this amazing community of teachers, aids, staff, and directors. In fact, he has done so well that he was promoted to Jr. Kindergarten. This staff here truly cares about these kids, and loves watching the succeed. This is apparent, because when I come for pick-up, we stop by several rooms on the way out, so he can give hugs. read more

I really like this daycare. Coming from Northern VA I have paid double a week for NO quality at all. We are a Christian family and I love the teaching they give to the children. My kids really love the school and I ask them questions all the time and they always give good responses. The teachers are very nice and so is the principal. I love that they are a secured facility so you have to swipe your card to get in the building; that was a rarity when I was searching daycares in the past. The prices are UNBEATABLE and you get quality care and the kids are happy. Facility is nice and clean always. The kids do ALOT of fun stuff and the Pre-K class always goes to fun trips which my son loves. I am very happy with Promise Care! read more
