Upon entry the first thing that really grabs your attention is the worn out dirty carpet in the foyer AND sanctuary . Grooms room is extremely small with some updated furniture same for the bridal suite. There is a pungent musty odor throughout the building. There is also no sound system , you are expected to provide that yourself. After reading the owners backstory where she states that she felt it her mission to make a brides experience lovely yet affordable-- she is definitely not up for negotiation on affordability at all. We tried talking to her about omitting certain items and doing some of the manual labor ourselves in order to offset the overpriced cost for the facility and was She absolutely not budging on cost. Her response was "that's not how we do things around here ". They advertise that there is a banquet tent however they no longer offer the tent service for your reception you must now purchase/rent your own which can cost up to an additional thousand dollars and you must provide your own insurance (another cost of $100+) on top of the rental for the church. They have labor charge of $500 which is setting up tables and chairs. Again... We asked if we could do the manual labor ourselves or other ways we could offset the price we were always met with a snarky attitude followed by the answer NO . Makes me wonder if her backstory is even authentic! Also, I am surprised at any 4 star reviews. Makes me wonder if they're her friends and family- I can not see as to why they would have rated 4 stars otherwise.

Horrible experience, the venue was not mowed, nor racked before my son and daughter in laws…read morereception set up, The venue stated a year ago when we met with them for the first time that they would have everything needed to help with the reception and when it came down to it they not only lied about that they also got mad because we chose to use our own vendors instead of what they offered in the contract it states they have electrical outlets as well as generators on the property as well as extra tents if needed available and when it came time for our vendors to arrive we found they had no electricity on the property at all then they got an attitude about needing electricity they said it was our responsibility to provide the electricity and everything for our reception that they are just a platform for the reception, they then began threatening my daughter in law and son to start charging them an extra 100.00 on the hour if we did not get off the property with everything taken down at 10pm which is when our reception was supposed to end, she then began telling me as I refused to let my children have their night ruined that we was supposed to shut our reception down at 7pm and begin cleaning up the venue and being gone at 10pm all she wanted to say was look at your contract which we have and the fact is she put the dates on the contract but no times and she signed it, as well as the contract we have says that the bar and DJ has to shut down at 10:30pm, the driveway to the venue is also very narrow and they have a large camper sitting at the top of the entrance way as well as 2 vehicles making it very hard to pull in and out of the venue. These people sent us several very nasty text messages and were very untruthful they then said they would be sending us an itemized bill for what they helped with again stating this is in the contract which again is not.

Long review but worth the read if you are considering this venue…read more We got married at the Parish House on April 5th, 2025, and while the venue itself is beautiful, the overall experience was unbelievably frustrating. We signed the contract in February 2024, but communication was limited until October 2024. After reaching out, we had a good meeting with Lee and got some things sorted, like the food tasting. The food tasting went well, and they even allowed us to submit our own pork recipe that would be used as a dinner option. There were delays in getting the seating chart and flower arrangements finalized. By delayed, I mean that we did not talk about flowers until about 2 weeks before the wedding and did not receive a seating chart until the week of my wedding after asking multiple times. When I finally got a flower quote two weeks before the wedding, it was completely off from what my wife and I wanted. Despite multiple requests, the flowers she didn't want were ordered, and we ended up handling the flowers ourselves the day before the wedding. Patty was not happy about this and was difficult to communicate with about options. It came down to us doing the flowers or not having flowers, and Patty wanted things her way, not our way. At the rehearsal, everything seemed rushed, and everything we communicated that day was not executed as promised on the wedding day. On the wedding day, the venue doors were locked when my wifes bridal party arrived, and the flower arch we asked to be removed was still up. The ceremony didn't go as planned either. The music for the recessional didn't start when it was supposed to, and it felt awkward kissing then walking down most of the aisle in silence. Patty also threw a fit when it came to accommodations for my mom, insisting on putting her accessible chair on the wrong side of the aisle than what we had requested. Then, an hour before dinner, Patty told my wife the pork recipe had been changed, despite saying earlier at the food tasting and in a messge a week before the wedding they'd follow our exact recipe. She also got upset and yelled at a guest in front of others when they brought in alcohol as a wedding gift, yelling at them that they could lose their liquor license as if my guest would've known that. Patty spoke badly about my wife to her MOH a couple different times both at the rehearsal and during the wedding day saying that she was hard to please when all we asked for was the bare minimum. Such as expecting the correct flowers to be quoted and the arch to be taken down as communicated before the wedding day. While Lee was great and tried to help he was very hard to find, Patty's behavior made the whole experience a lot more stressful than it needed to be. If we had worked with the original planner or Keira (the day of planner), things would've been much smoother. The venue itself is gorgeous, but the lack of communication and unprofessional attitude from Patty make it hard to recommend. I hope that for future couples they spend the money to hire help on their team so that those people feel like a priority for planning and on the biggest day of their lives because we surely did not. If you choose this venue, just be prepared to stay on top of everything and hold them accountable. Expect things to not go the way YOU wanted.

Cannot recommend for larger groups, doubt this is inviting or easy to enjoy with more than a hundred; crazy that I have forty cousins just on my mom's side, the reception dinner was noise bursting all over. I did notice everything was clean and chairs comfortable. Catering matched well and worked with the groom's and family ideas. This is an excellent alternative to the typically expensive Lafayette options, plenty of parking, broad appeal, and accessible location.

The entire property is stunningly beautiful, from the farm itself to the newly renovated bridal suite, the groom's room, the outdoor ceremony space and the inside event barn space. We were extremely pleased with Cindy's recommended vendors especially Catering by Jonathan Byrd's and our wedding coordinator Save The Day Sisters. I highly recommend this venue for a wedding!
