She is hands down the best dermatologist I have ever seen! She's attentive, very knowledgeable (explaining every mole/mark on your body), and takes her time answering any questions you might have (especially regarding concerning spots). I never feel rushed and always leave feeling reassured! For this visit, I was provided some dark spot cream to help treat some dark spots on my face. I was advised that if I didn't see results within a few weeks, that I would be prescribed a stronger topical cream. I called back after a few weeks, was prescribed a new cream, and have seen some good results! Other Notes: - I was provided with a gift bag of sunscreen, body soap/wash, etc. for being a new patient. These weren't travel size - they were full sized bottles! This was greatly appreciated! - The ambiance/decor in the main office is SO cute! I enjoyed the decor, lighting, and music while waiting to be seen! - The parking situation is absolutely horrible (this office is right next to Capital University)! I spent at least 15 minutes driving back and forth the main street trying to find a parking spot. Boo! I would recommend suggesting available parking lots/spots should the back parking lot be full! There have been a…read moremyriad of red flags since I have started there, one starting with me being prescribed an acne medication which resulted in multiple bad reactions from me, to then calling and leaving a voicemail how it wasn't helping me (you know since they never answer their phone or are open long enough to get ahold of them) and them just prescribing me a new one without calling me or notifying me any way. I found out when I picked up my prescriptions and literally looked at it confused as I didn't know what it was. That's when I called and talked to this snippy nurse who said "so you didn't get a call on October 3rd at blah blah blah?" I clearly did not as that's why I was calling and simply wanted to know what this was and what the side effects were. So red flag one was that. Second red flag was my birth control not being sent in to the pharmacy for about the 3rd time, resulting in me missing many days and messing up my cycle, hormones, and overall period. I called in March of 2026 asking why it wasn't refilled, and that's when I was notified my Dr, Dr. Rupert left the practice and that I essentially had to find a new dr in order for it to be prescribed. Now, anyone with common sense would say, "that's not fair". I was never told she was leaving, and when I called they said they sent out letters about this. Never once received a letter and I had to be the one to find this out Instead of being professionally and properly informed like a dr's office should. Again, talked to a snippy nurse (everyone except the receptionist are angry elves I suppose) where she said I would have to find a new dr in order to get this. Frustrated and angry I reached out to my NP for it, but then went and go OTC ones at target. THEN, they suddenly started getting prescribed again? So, why was I told they were not able to if they then randomly started them again? Now, my last red flag was from today. That one random medication I was prescribed in October that I mentioned earlier was Spirolactone. I recently ran out this past week and went onto my CVS app to see why, and it said it was due to Dr. Rupert leaving. So, all this week I try calling them and again, they were somehow always not there or on their lunch break or closed already at 4:30. I'm trying to balance this as a 24 year old woman who works full time as well as is a full time student. I finally get ahold of them and talk to one of the rudest, cold nurses I have ever spoken to, the lovely Nurse Lisa I explain the spirolactone problem to her and instead of speaking to me with humility and compassion, automatically plays the blame game and says it's due to me not scheduling a follow up the last time I came and that I was informed of this in March. First of all, in March, I AM the one who called about my birth control not being filled, not them contacting me. And that's when I was informed if I want it prescribed again I need to find a new dr and see them. I won't lie, I was frustrated and more snippy because her tone automatically set me off of that this was my fault and she didn't care to listen nor help me. So she starts the blame game and I tell her that that was for the BC and if you guys only prescribe things for after a year, why has it almost been a year and a half and you're still doing it and then suddenly stop and one, not give me any warning, and two this is MONTHS after Dr. Rupert left. I listened when they said I needed to see a new dr for the birth control and have now switched to my NP, but for this spirolactone, I was still getting it from them. I have been off of it for about 5 days now and when you stop a medication like that, you clearly have side effects like getting dizzy, which I was getting. So I am trying to explain this all to the warm and fuzzy Dr. Lisa, you has straight attitude towards me, isn't letting me speak and cuts me off and tells me to not Interrupt her. I say are you kidding me, first of all do not tell me what to do, And she starts laughing and says I'm hanging up on you now. I tell her I'm calling HR or whoever on you and she laughs again and says this is your fault and hangs up on me. So I call again and am transferred to their office manager Rachelle who I of course had to leave a message for and now I'm here complaining. This surgical place has always has so many freaking problems with one even answering you, two getting you in, and three just being straight up rude (the receptionist Molly was a sweetheart though). I am clearly THEIR patient who is upset, experiencing scary symptoms from them not refilling my meds, and instead of Nurse Lisa coming in with humility, compassion, and overall customer service and ready to listen to a clearly frustrated patient in distress, she turned into a Karen (who is shocked with a name like Lisa who is a nurse, always the mean girls) who didn't listen and demonstrated horrible skills as a nurse.

It states on the website that before you can book an appointment you must: 1. Make an online patient portal account 2. gather all of your bloodwork etc. 3. fill out all of the new patient paperwork and questionnaires. 4. make a list of your supplements /medication I did all of this and left 4 messages over an 8 day period. No return call. The link on the website does not let you actually request an appointment. The office does not have a listed email. Someone finally answers the phone to rudely tell me they are no longer taking new patients. What a total waste of my time. She said I could call back in January of 2025 and see if they can take new patients then. But she certainly can't book me for January. What! I told her they have wasted my time filling out all of this paperwork, gathering my data, and I now have an account on their online patient portal. The front desk person was pretty dismissive. At the very least they need to update their website to not waste any else's time. since I can't send an email, and they don't seem to care - I am leaving my review right here.

I have had in-office blood…read moredraws, seen the nurse practitioner and have had contact with MA's, billing, scheduling staff over the years - they all have been and continue to be nothing short of amazing. I called to reschedule an already scheduled appointment because I had tested positive for COVID - and just by the sound of my voice, the staff member (Mila) made sure I saw someone right away because of how concerned she was just by how I sounded over the phone! I had a televisit with the nurse practitioner within maybe 20 minutes of that initial call. They are on top of things for sure and I couldn't be more happy with any of the team or care that I get from this practice. This is an integrative medicine practice - so that means they are not a pill pusher, let's just cover symptoms with a Band-Aid type of care. They treat the whole person and, yes, that is with vitamins, supplements and, if/when needed, medical prescriptions. If you just want a pill to mask your ailments, stick with western medicine and trust your insurance company to decide what care is needed. I'm glad to be with a practice that doesn't go for a pill as the first line of treatment. Am I disappointed that they don't accept my insurance carrier any longer, of course - but insurance companies are a pain (and if you've worked for one, like I have) you know that many claims get denied for care that is needed or you have to jump so many hoops in order to "prove" you need certain treatments. I'd rather trust my doctor and her team and gladly self pay to ensure I get the right treatment when and how I need it. You can always use an HSA or just budget for appointments. There are times when I call the office and I go to voicemail, but I've always gotten a return call so it's a small price to pay to know I'll be properly taken care of. We are still in a pandemic and healthcare workers are overwhelmed right now in all settings. A little patience and understanding during these trying times goes a long way. I will also add that a few years ago is when my husband and I switched to this practice and he was having a few issues with leg pains and could barely walk in the evenings after working all day. Our niece, who was going to specialist after specialist, had a lot of the same issues and was already using a walker at 15. After reviewing his bloodwork, Dr. Kurpita was able to hone in on the issue, which ended up being genetic. Now my husband has fully recovered and is very active again and even cycles and mountain bikes again. We shared what we learned and my niece got tested and had the same gene - well, she had a full recovery following the same treatment! No more walker for her!! So nobody will ever be able to tell me that having the right vitamins or supplements doesn't work or is ineffective treatment, especially after seeing the changes in my husband and niece - you have to allow them enough time to work. I highly recommend this practice.

The front desk was upset that I didn't arrive earlier because they needed me to complete a packet of paperwork. They handed me what appeared to be new patient paperwork. I've already been a patient for several years. They insisted that I needed to complete the new patient paperwork so I did. When it was finally time for me to see the doctor, he told me that he wouldn't be renewing my prescription because I wasn't suffering from cystic acne. Well, no duh. I've been taking this medication for the last couple of years and it has successfully been keeping my cystic acne at bay. I need to have the prescription renewed so that I wouldn't start suffering from cystic acne again. After much back-and-forth, the doctor insisted that I had rosacea and not cystic acne so I did not get my cystic acne prescription renewed. Wouldn't you know when my prescription ran out the cystic acne returned just as I told the doctor that it would. Needless to say, I found a new dermatologist and don't plan on going back to Central Ohio Skin Cancer.

There are 3 woman who work at the desk and I overheard them talking about a patient who had just made an appt. Not really interested in listen to their gossip and about her dance mom problems . ( ugh) I was nervous and just wanted to try to relax. The nurse that came and got me was super sweet and led me to the room. Derek is my doc and he is very caring and patient with questions and explaining the process. I always received good care from him. I was there to get a body scan which I'm sure everyone knows isn't on the list of "things I want to do today", but he makes you comfortable. Other than the ladies at the desk, it was a great visit and I'm hoping next time they limit the gossip man's talking about the patients .
