Unfortunately, during the first golf war, I was seriously injured overseas and brought back to the United States for treatment. I was given a series of nerve blocks 4 to 5 a week for 90 days. Every time needing to be sedated with heavy anesthesia. Today the doctors say this type of procedure should've only been performed three times a year. I was also heavily medicated. My grandmother, Author that raised me had passed away and I wanted to go to her funeral. 2 MP's at a commissary try to detain me and I struck them both I left the scene went UA and was also charged with not following orders. After my grandmother's funeral, when I turned myself, and they threw me in the break for 90 days, gave me a Special Court, Marshall, other than honorable discharge and took away all my benefits. I hired Mr. Conway to do my rebuttal for a GOMAR expecting that at the least, the rebuttal would look professional and be submitted on time since I paid him on time and provided dates and information on time. The rebuttal draft I was sent multiple days after it was due was erroneous and sloppy and was critiqued heavily by many professionals as "something an 8th grader would have produced" and I cannot say I disagreed. I spent time reviewing and finding error in the draft that was already late and sent them back to Mr. Conway outline the areas that needed to be fixed and the character statements that were missing that I wanted included assuming I would see this in the final draft. Nope, the final draft was a duplicate submission of the sloppily, semi-professional, erroneous document that was sent to me late and only after calling to ask him if it had been submitted. Honestly, I expected better as this made an already rough situation to deal with so much worse and irreversible and I feel as though my end of the contract was upheld; however, Mr. Conway's was not and he still received full payment of services beforehand. This is not how I believe a professional takes care of a client and really made me feel like I was another checked box for this law firm. So I chose Billy to be my attorney. After the first session with him; I felt a not so good vibe. After continuing to call him and ask how my case was coming along, he NEVER bothered to return any of my endless phone call. I had spoken with his paralegals and secretaries numerous time. Within the two year period his staff kept changing (another warning sign ignored). He was suppose to be handling my case and had pictures, addresses and dates in order. After almost a year had gone by and no response from him, I thought maybe he was no longer handling my case or even still my lawyer!! His staff let me know he was always out of the office for weeks at a time and they closed on Fridays !!! I was really upset with him because I was not being considered as a client. Billy having the NERVE to leave the office on Fridays and him not being in the office the rest of the time. Then he went on vacation, can you even believe that !! I COULD NOT !! That's not even the tip of the iceberg !! I had the opportunity for two of the staff members to let me know they would make sure he returned my calls and answered unanswered phone calls by putting my file on his desk !! TO NO AVAIL !!". He was still too busy running around with his "young girl friend" a the time!! After about four months when I called, one staff member let me know they had put my file on his desk. Still no reply from him. then about a month later I asked the staff member to let him know he needs to get busy on my case. My daughter and I went to see him and we got the surprise of our lives!! His notes were not consistent with anything I had given him. And to top it off, he had the wrong address of the accident, my address!! Then he had a picture of the apartment complex I lived in with address circled in red!! My daughter and I both told him this is not where it happened !! He stated it must had gotten into the wrong file!! He took the picture of the apartment complex that looked as if someone had taken it while they were up in a plane looking down on it and put it aside. After four months had gone by,I was told he had emailed the City of Norfolk four months ago. They had not responded. I asked the lady to tell Billy if the City Of Norfolk an emailed him and he had not responded by then, they would have been gotten in contact with him. Billy finally after that decided to take them to court. I went to see Billy since we finally had a court date set. I got a ride to see Billy that Wednesday, before the court week. He said, he needed to see me so we could discuss my case. Can you believe this, now he wants to talk? After arriving at his office way in Virginia Beach; I got another surprise of my life !! Sitting down discussing the case with me, he pulls out the same picture of the apartment complex from up above with the same 501 in red! Billy says this is where the accident occurred and he even had the nerve to show me where I fell in the water meter hole. I AGAIN told him NO, IT IS NOT !! He said the City Of Norfolk examined the one I had fallen into a found the meter to be broken and covered with water. I told him because i feel into it!! He said yeah, just say this is correct and we will win the case. I told him I was going to tell the truth. He said if I was to say I fell in where he said, I would not loose my case !! THIS IS PREJURY !! FALSIFYING DOCUMENTS!! My witness who had witnessed me falling into the hole covered with water, helping me out was there also. We went into the room right outside NORFOLK DISTRICT CIRCUIT COURT and Billy informed my witness and I we had been moved to Courtroom D down the hall. Billy said don't worry this judge handling low life's and people who owe something. I was amazed when we went into the Court and only people of color (Black People)was there!! Billy made me look like an idiot and not in my right mind.. when the HONORABLE Judge LEONDRAS L. WEBSTER asked Billy why did your client say the wrong address? Billy replied, AFTER FALLING SHE BECAME CONFUSED, AND THIUGHT SHE WAS HOME!! Billy kept saying can we hurry this up, ANOINTED I need to be back in Virginia Beach by 1:00 !! Billy had told me before going to court to look presentable, because people were going to be in court wearing suits and ties. I let him know I know-how to dress!! He should have listened to his own advice. Billy came in court with a suit on that looked like he had gotten it out of his pocket balled up; and the hem in the back of the jacket was hanging down with a string on it !!
