Although we do find it interesting that our first meal in Italy was as a western themed place. Made us a little nervous about the quality of the food. Although it was a steakhouse. We were seated in the fort like interior, only one other couple were there. Placed our order, husband a steak, with salad and me a Pizza. As we wait the place started filling up, Mother's Day, there were mainly Italian families. Our meals arrived an we were pleasantly surprised. Husband's steak was prepared to perfection with a very fresh salad topping it. My pizza was large and tasty. We could easily share it between us. The service was great, young woman friendly and filled our needs. The pricing was very reasonable.

He did not bring a spoon for my spaghetti. Suddenly he came up to me half way through with a spoon, rudely yanks my fork out of my hand and proceeds to "show me how to eat my spaghetti" with the spoon even though he refused to give me a spoon from the start. We ordered bottled water which arrived in a used and dirty bottle with mold around the rim. The place was filthy dirty. My husband's steak was filled with stringy gristle and fat. The prices were ridiculous.

We walked in to the restaurant and saw that it was about half full. We were eventually seated. While we waited for our waitress to come take our drink order, we looked around at the old timey western american type decor. It is always interesting to see how non-Americans view the American culture. The crowd was mostly couples in their mid-20s eating a late dinner. We were famished after a day if travel and ordered a sampler plate for our appetizer (included onion ring, chicken tenders along with a different dipping sauce, which not my favorite) and we also ordered desserts to enjoy. They serve coke products here, especially Coke Zero! I had the largest glass of super duper cold Coke Zero, I was in HEAVEN! Their desserts were fabulous, specially the Coppa Alaska which included Gelato, Nutella, chocolate chips and whipped cream. It tasted delightful! We also ordered the Pancake Nutella dessert. Pancakes with vanilla gelato, almonds and caramel sauce, covered in Nutella-- Very good! Waitress was nice but she kept forgetting about us. Glad this restaurant was available and open, but not the most memberable restaurant while in Rome.

The area reminds me of Redmond Town Center in Redmond, WA (USA) albeit a much more empty one. We needed a meal and as the neighboring place was closing for Siesta time in 30 minutes, Old Wild West won out by default and necessity. One in our party ordered the Rib Eye steak and clearly asked for it well done. It came out medium. Had to be sent back for more cooking. Another ordered a Caesar salad with Impossible Chicken and it was pretty bland tasting. This was after the staff delivered the wrong meal to the table. Myself and another ordered the Chianin burger and a Smashburger respectively. They were also bland and fairly tasteless and I tried each dish. One side of fries with any meal can feed a small army, so order accordingly. This place sells an old USA Wild West theme with questionable signage ("Indian People", really???) and a bunch of other memorabilia, not necessarily Old Wild West. That is where they put their money, certainly not in the food quality or food preparation. I won't be returning to one of these places as I would rather have good food and minimal ambiance. This place doesn't deliver on either.

Old Wild West - "Indian People"? The interior design team ought to run this by any American person to understand why this is wrong.
