In relation to my spouses sexual addiction, he justified man by saying to me, the wife, that Eve was at fault in the garden of Eden- why Adam ate the apple. Dealing with my husbands betrayal, Dr Strahle, with a derogative tone, commented, "You have issues with anger." He stated to my husband that given the right circumstances, all women can be seduced. This man was very unprofessional, Egotistical, Chauvinistic and critical. A "counselor" like this can cause more damage than good due to his own dysfunctional issues- doctorate or not! Glad we had enough sense to discontinue seeing him the first time I met him. I would never recommend him to anyone.

When I told him about my constant anxiety he assumed that it was from a lack of confidence without asking about my history. I'm aware of my issues and the root cause but I've been exploring different methods. I've talked to 4 other therapists in the past and all had unique styles and were very informative. Gary himself is an egotistical man who seems to only do this business out of recognition and money. I believe everyone has their unique style of therapy but Gary's would be best forgotten. HIs "neuropsychological" therapy is at best a mimic of mindfulness meditation as he would say in a clinical setting for the insurance company. To anyone that reads this I implore that if you do go to Gary, pay attention to how much he talks about himself and his success. The main thing a Professional Psychologist does is learn as much as they can about the patient especially during an intake. Also, Gary if you're reading this never force advice to a first-generation graduate when you yourself were given everything.

When a challenge/experience arrives in my life, I get to face it knowing I can call on him if I want to. It matters. The knowledge that there is a therapist I have built trust with provides a freedom to face the unknown on my own, without being alone. In a perfect world, everyone would have a therapist. I had no idea how much my ability to work through challenges would improve, just from having someone to talk through the big ones with. Patrick in particular has a deep understanding of the ways our minds can respond to life, and provides that insight without the detached, clinical vibe so many therapists seem to approach patients with. It's something truly special that he brings to the table. Finding a therapist you vibe with is not a simple task. Having one is a gift. You are a gift, Patrick. Thank you.

I was initially apprehensive about seeing a male therapist as I worried that I'd be embarrassed to open up to him or that he wouldn't understand me. I was wrong. From the first meeting he just told me to say what was on my mind, I did and it was great and I left feeling like I'd actually done something that was helping me move in the right direction. He's friendly, kind, welcoming, a great listener, I don't know how he does it but he remembers pretty much everything, he's funny and you feel like he genuinely cares about what you have to say while helping you realize the reasons why you feel and act the way you do. Along with other important changes I've made in my life, he has truly been a great help in guiding me to be more assertive and quiet my own inner critic enough to find peace of mind. There is still work to be done and I know that Patrick will be able to continue to help me. It goes without saying that I highly recommend Patrick.

I left a voice message, and he called me very soon after. I remember feeling a sense of comfort and calmness after speaking to him bc he seemed genuinely interested in helping me and also accommodated an appointment to see me as soon as was possible. In person, about 2-3 days later. Because it was social anxiety, I knew I wanted to see someone in person. So we met in person. His office is plain and he had the word "believe". It was simple without distractions. I needed this, bc the days that followed were walking into this place of collapsing my thoughts and feelings. Tim's approach is simple and it's realistic. But it is only simple for the very reason: that Tim is extremely passionate about the subject and therefore knows it very well. Therefore going through the sessions you begin to learn concepts and in the process you begin to learn about yourself, your reactions, and how correction is possible. It's realistic / common sensical and when you realize this, you feel hope that change is possible. Hope is important, bc it's the right step to begin rerouting your thoughts, highs / lows and find a balance in life. Tim is passionate about this. Tim as a person is not only knowledgeable and professional, but he is kind and generous. Generous in sharing information- to teach you as much as he knows and he is also generous with his time. Never rushing you or holding you to a minute maximum. In him you will find a wise and emphatic man, bc of this, trust emerges and you will find it easy to open up. Thankful for Tim!
