We have been longtime customers of them obviously before 16 years ago when the first spring broke yes indeed 16 years ago is a long time for it to last and our garage door has withstood many hurricanes (knock on wood and from my lips to God's ears) and we have never had any major issues other than what's expected with a over 16 year plus garage door, that's hurricane proof. In May 2024, I paid an additional $500 to have two new springs and bearings installed. As of October 2025, the sensors have failed and are no longer under warranty. I was charged $418 to replace them, despite the fact that similar sensors are available for around $50 at Home Depot. With a standard service fee of $40 and labor at $75 per hour, that means I was charged roughly $300 just for the sensors themselves -- a significant markup. Additionally, I was told that my springs and bearings need to be replaced again, at a cost of $705 -- even though they were newly installed just 17 months ago. These parts are also now out of warranty, and I did not purchase the company's expensive extended warranty. In my opinion, this company has significantly overcharged me, inflated the cost of parts, and delivered poor-quality workmanship.

The guy came the same day, looked at it and said my condenser coil was rusted through and would need to be replaced. That was going to be $2000 - "but I might as well replace the whole unit" - which would be $5000-$6000. Okay, fine - but I need to get a few competing bits (and have someone else give me a second opinion). So I came here - Yelp - to look for a couple companies to call. I looked for 5 star reviews and John's was one of them. He had great reviews and just from talking to him on the phone I could tell he knew what he was doing and he could drop by later the same day. He looked it over and said the only problem was the drain pan was filled with sludge blocking the drain - $350 to clean the pan and the coils. WHAT?!! Sure - let's do that! We made an appointment for the next day. He came by on time, cleaned the unit with minimal fuss or mess and that was that - $350 the unit is no longer leaking. It is no exaggeration to say John saved me between $1600 for unnecessary parts or $4600 for a new AC unit. On top of that, he also noticed my water heater under the A/C handler had been wired wrong and fixed that too.
