At least seven companies were unable to open the door, including the company that sells the doors.This was a huge problem because the door leaks and since it was on the 6th floor it was impossible to access the exterior of the door to stop the leak. The door is no longer manufactured and my condo requires that the exterior doors all match. I was quoted over 9K for a new door, if the condo would even approve it. I was told I should abandon the door and caulk it shut to make it watertight, but even then there was no guarantee that it would not leak. Mike gave me a flat rate (which he honored) and spent 6 hours troubleshooting the door. He did the impossible: he opened it and it is now a working door. Mike; you are a superhero. You are an honest and capable person and a credit to your company. I wish I could give you 6 stars. I am very grateful. Use this business; they are capable and good people that go the extra mile for their customers. More than worth every penny.

So far, AMVet has taken the initiative to reach out and reset expectations. That counts for a lot in my book. This letter should explain everything. I sent this email almost a week ago and did not receive a response. I'm not thrilled that I paid $5,334.00 and have a drive way with an ugly patch. THE LETTER Dear AMVet, I am extremely disappointed with your driveway coating service. The finish on my driveway does not resemble any of the coated driveways I personally inspected at your previous customers' homes. The coating was applied on June 11, 2025. When it didn't look right initially, you returned and reapplied another coat in a few areas. Then, on January 21, 2026, you came back to repair a fine crack, but the repair left a visible patch across my driveway. Now, just a few months later in April, another fine line is already appearing in another area. I am not requesting another repair, as my driveway is beginning to look like a patchwork quilt. I was told the first repair was free, but any future repairs would cost $170 each. This is not right. It hasn't even been a full year since the original application, and these issues should not be occurring. You should have known that my driveway would not hold up well to your coating. I can only assume you were aware of this and chose to proceed anyway. I would appreciate a serious response to this matter.

Even using a screwdriver to manually turn the latch wouldn't work because the latch had failed mechanically. Anyway, the locksmith showed up as scheduled. He immediately understood the problem as I explained it to him, got his tools, and quickly went to work. He had to pry the latch out in pieces as it would not retract, no matter what he did. Long story short...I am a happy customer of Beach Locksmith. He installed a replacement lock for me, and charged me a reasonable price.

I did later decide to go a shade darker on my front windows and it was a breeze to get in and out. They still had my tint on hand and the price was pretty good. I was even able to use my complimentary tint repair (tint removal) to cut down the costs some. Service is quick and professional. It is a small location with 2 car bays, but it's never been a problem for me to get scheduled. Unless something drastically changes in their reviews, I already know I'll be coming back for all of my family's future auto tinting needs.
