PATIENT CARE The care was good, but business... well, you decide. In the course of a calendar year say you go in for a visit. At some point after the visit, which was less than $200.00 for the visit, you receive a single piece of mail about the bill. Let's say this single bill gets lost in the shuffle. Within the same year, you get served by the sheriff's department and now you have to pay court fees in addition to the bill. Might that sort of thing ruin the doctor-patient relationship? What do you think? No email, no text, no phone reminder. You simply miss the one piece of mail and within the same year as the visit you are billed for, you get served by the sheriff's department. After paying the bill, about an hour after paying it, you get about a dozen reminders (half by text and half by email) about being overdue for a cleaning. Thank you for the reminders??? Might there be a thin line between persistence and harassment? And after being served a very firm reminder courtesy of tax payers via the sheriff's department for paying a bill (no call, no email, no text for that), would you be inclined to make sure to schedule your next cleaning? Or perhaps you would go looking for a different dentist office after that? What would you do? Now, that's some patient care, isn't it?! read more

The hygenist were friendly but they had me a dental plan that was very costly even though I have dental insurance. They almost forced me to get a loan with Affirm even before any procedure. I called to complain that I couldn't afford the payments that are now my monthly bill. I went to get help with my teeth as I need someone to give me options other than dentures. They seemed to me to be all about getting as much money as possible. I finally let the manager know that I felt I was pressured in to a loan for a procedure I was not ready for. I needed someone with compassion and understanding for my situation. Eventhough I did get emotional with the manger, Candy, she has blocked me from any other treatment because I said I want to go to another dentist out of frustration. I apolized and said ok I want to complete the procedure of taking all my top teeth out. She said we have you blocked and cannot do any services for you., I thought ok I will go somewhere else. My first time visiting Pruitt & Earp was on Jun 19, where I got x-rays done and a routine cleaning. Due to my type of insurance, I was made to pay for all my services up front, my insurance would pay them, and the dentist would reimburse me. I didn't mind this, as I had to come here from another office due to my insurance. The dental hygienist did my cleaning and x-rays and was nice. After my cleaning, the hygienist said "the dentist said based on your x-rays you have 4 cavities. So, we're going to schedule an appointment for your fillings, but otherwise you are good to go." I checked with the front desk and they assured me that I would receive a call when my insurance had paid my claim and my refund was available. Aug 4 I had my filling appt. I asked that morning if my refund was available to use. The front desk told me that the insurance company had not paid the claim yet, but they would resubmit the claim. So, I paid for 4 fillings up front. The dentist, I believe it was Earp, came in with all of his tools, barely spoke to me, and then sat down and began looking in my mouth. He laughs and says, "Oh. Huh. You don't have four cavities, you only have two. The dark spots on the x-ray were misleading." Then, when Earp and the hygienist starts the fillings, a song comes on, "Don't Stand So Close To Me." While he is digging in my mouth he goes "This was the Covid theme song huh? Which, it's funny because all of that 'social distancing' and 'washing your hands' did nothing to prevent Covid." Now, granted, he has on gloves, but I do NOT want to hear my dentist lamenting having to wash their hands while they are digging in my mouth. Then he goes, "Yeah, that whole Covid thing was a hoax. All those hospitals claiming people died from Covid when they didn't. Covid wasn't anything but a cold." I'll be honest, I haven't had anyone close to me die from Covid, but I couldn't help but imagine what if I did?? This dentist does not know me, has barely spoke to me at all, and is spewing his weird Covid politics while I'm stuck here with drills in my mouth. It was WILDLY unprofessional and very inconsiderate. After I'm done, I go up to the front and got refunded for the two "cavities" I paid for that I didn't have, and am assured that I will get a call when the insurance payment is made. So I call my insurance company and say "Hey look, my appt was on June 19th. It's now Aug 4th. Could you please send this over to them?" The insurance company responds, "Well, Mr. Womack, we can see that the dentist was paid directly to their account on July 7th. It looks like they just resubmitted this claim today, but it has been paid about a month ago." I call the dentist back and they say "Oh, I'm sorry about that, we didn't see where the payment came in. Let us process everything and we will call you soon." I've called about 7 times since Aug 4 and each time I have been assured I would receive a call back and I have not. My dental insurance paid my Aug 4 claim on Aug 25. I called last Wed (Oct 25) and was told that I did have a refund of $783 in the office, but the office manager would have to call me personally. I never received a call. I went to Pruitt & Earp this morning, and was told that it will take "two to three weeks" for the refund check to be processed. When I told the receptionist I was getting frustrated because it was about $1,000 they were holding and it's been about five months, and she goes "No, its ONLY $700." She then says the only way I can get my refund is when the office manager calls me. The one who has not called for the past seven times. All this to say, from the dentist to the financial team, this office is unprofessional and unorganized. I will not be going back or recommending them to anyone. read more

Went to Dr. Earp without any prior knowledge of him or his practice. I originally went to a doctor who I was led to believe was a preferred provider of Delta insurance however he wasn't. The plan I'm in has no out of pocket cost on certain things up to $2500 a year. The original doc recommended a $3600 procedure of which $600 was covered Dr Earp reviewed my X-rays and said that the procedure that was recommended would most likely break as I am a very bad tooth grinder.and have ground all the porcelain on my caps off in places. I don't know why I didn't think about that as it's so true. He offered a much cheaper procedure that was fully covered and was more than $3000 cheaper. I had the work done today and Dr. Earp continued to make sure I was alright throughout the procedure and now five hours later I feel fine. The office is immaculate. His COVID procedures the best I've encountered and his staff was super friendly and courteous. I would definitely recommend him and his practice. read more

Stay Away. My family has gone here for years. There is always some kind of issue with everyones teeth needing additional work done. When you have an issue and call to get an appointment, you will have to wait months even as an existing customer. I called because I was having pain and needed it looked at, they told me i had to come in for a cleaning and that was weeks out. Went in and they didn't even do the cleaning they said yeah you need a root canal and crown and scheduled me for another appointment. Do not recommend! read more

I usually have very high anxiety at the dentist but my experience here has completely changed my outlook on visits.
