If I could give less than one star I would. We bought carpet for our entire home in 2022. It has now begun to separate at almost every seem and unravel. I called to ask what the warranty was. I was directed to Angi who after leaving a voice mail and waiting a week for a call back I find out no longer works there, Then I talked to a man ( Mike) i think and he informed me that they had updated their computer system and no one was able to look up anything from the past. Then I called back a few weeks later and talked to Valerie, I gave her all my info and she said she could look it up and would get back to me within the hr. NOPE ! Never heard back. So after trying for 1 month I drove to the store. I was met by a blustery man named Anthony who assured me he would get back to me with info of an installer that afternoon because the warranty was gone. I thanked him and said id believe it when i heard his voice and he said WELL YOU HAVE NEVER DEALT WITH ME ! I felt hopeful. He never called. I left my number and it was also on the invoice that he took a copy of. If you want semi decent service and an install that lasts for more than 2.5 yrs do not buy from these people, I sure wish I hadn't. read more

Great experience with George today. They have so many remnants available if you are looking to do a smaller job. And they have carpet for all price points. We were able to find something we liked, but weren't 100% on, leave and then when we decided we just called and handled the entire transaction over the phone. Had a great experience here. We bought a house, and within a day of closing realized that all of the upstairs carpet had to be replaced (so gross!!). We needed to move in the following weekend, and needed carpet pronto! No other stores I contacted, including big box stores, could get us fit in for a measure, or they didn't have carpet in-stock, and we were told to expect weeks (or longer) before install. Someone kindly recommended Carpet Clearance Warehouse, and I quickly found a carpet I liked a lot. CCW fit us in for a measure the next day, and installed the following day!! We got beautiful, high quality carpet for what seemed like a fair price. The only confusion I had was that the listed pricing said "installed" which apparently included the padding, but installation was charged additionally. I did have to ask for a written invoice, they didn't send a written quote prior to installation. The invoice I received was as verbally quoted, I was just surprised to see the installation had been itemized as a separate charge. Called multiple times for a quote , spoke with a young lady twice on getting a quote for almost 200 yards installed and she got all the information down and said would call me back(never did) so I called a half day later and she answered and said she was busy but going to her desk as we speak and get me a quote and call me back(never did) wow not a way to keep Business as I also wanted to get tile work done on top of that install.. I was slow hooked by a salesman with a lowball quote based on room measurements. The low ball quote was jacked up $600.00 at the actual measurement based on measurements being off? I then scheduled installation and could not get a phone call answered or returned when I asked for a work order or quote before paying. When I finally did get someone on the phone I told them to stick the quote where the sun don't shine cause I couldn't imagine trying to get a call back after I paid when I couldn't get one before paying. TL;DR: -measurement guy took wrong measurements and kept assuring us it was correct and was VERY rude -installers showed up short on carpet -area not on contract (according to them) had carpet removed and new laid -we were charged $2.99 instead of $2.49 ($500 more than what was estimated) -they expect us to pay ~$400 to finish the 2 closets that they ripped up which are still bare *UPDATE* They have agreed to finish the closets for $75. So that brings the overage to $575, and their 1 star rating to a 1.5. The story: We got our project started while we were out of town because we are moving back into our rental that needs new carpet. They were able to get measurements without us being there, which was great. They were less expensive than Lowe's, which was cool. When we arrived to town and picked out a carpet, we were charged $500 more than what was estimated. I understand how estimates work, so I was only minorly concerned and paid the extra. The measurement guy wasn't in, so I couldn't check the math and apparently neither could they. The day prior to install, they called to confirm all of the work needing done and it all sounded good. We verified over and over again that our loft was included. The workers showed up the next day and were doing good work. Then the issue surfaced. They didn't have enough carpet and wanted to charge an additional $400 to finish. They sent their measurement guy out to try to sort things out. Not only was he rude, but kept saying the fault was on us. He said our upstairs loft wasn't on the estimate. The workers had already ripped up the old carpet and laid the new up there. So because of the shortage we now have 2 closets that are unfinished and it is a pain trying to get it sorted out. While this is going on, and speaking with management, we found out we were charged for a heavier carpet at $2.99, instead of $2.49. If I never have to talk to Eric (measurement guy) again, it won't be soon enough. Installers were great, and did good work. Clay helped us sort things out, but we are still overall unhappy with this experience. Last time doing business with these guys. We recommend looking elsewhere for flooring. read more

I would give 0 stars if possible. These people are unprofessional and rude. I scheduled an appointment and the man, not the name of the person that confirmed the appointment, came 2 hours early. I spoke with him on the phone and told him I scheduled it at a time that worked and he couldn't do it now. He interrupted me and said he didn't need me to be there and he was just measuring. Completely rude, had no intention of even listening to me. I called into the store and unfortunately had to deal with Angie, the "manager", she was also rude. This place is great for carpet! Cheap and they will cut it to the size you need. We needed a custom size for our dining room, 7X6 ft. A few weeks ago we spent $300 for a large area rug for our living room. So, we thought we'd check this place out. We were pleasantly surprised and left there with a rug that cost $30. They are pretty direct about what they do and don't carry, so there are no unmet pretensions. Horrible! Had the displeasure of dealing with Angie. Requested a quote for carpet and vinyl sheet flooring for a 1700 square foot house outside of town. We discussed the flooring type that would be the most cost effective, and agreed on a day to come measure. They charged me a $120 to come out, which was fine since the house is out of town and they were going to bring me some flooring samples. I selected materials from the samples and received a quote. The quote for some of the material ended up being about 3x what I expected. I won't even mention what they wanted to charge for moving appliances and toilets! When I called to make sure it was the flooring we discussed I found it was not, it was completely different. I asked for a revised quote and was told it would be about twice as high as the original quote. When I asked her why she told me it would be the most cost effective route to go, she became hostile and rudely told me they were just not going to be able to please me no matter what they did, and accused me of having an attitude. In short, they were looking to rip me off because they knew my options were limited and didn't like being called out on it. I work in sales, if one if my employees spoke to a customer like that, they would have been fired on the spot. Do yourselves a favor and keep looking. You have options. I used this company to put new carpeting upstairs about a year ago and I had a good experience. I recently tried to call about a smaller job in my basement and got told extremely rudely that the job was too small and not worth the effort to come out. That just screams bad customer service to me. Apparently the saying "no job too big or small" is not in use at this company. read more

I always thought the commercials were neat when I was growing up. Now I'm a home owner and it was way over due for new floors I first thought of these guys. This place might be really good if you manage an apartment building or own rental houses or just want whatever they have on the floor but don't even think about finding anything in the samples "That's special order so the cost is much higher".......yeah well I went somewhere else and got what I wanted and paid much less and was appreciated for my business. I wasn't made to feel like an inconvenience to a company for wanting what I want. Ordered carpet from this company to be installed. A day after they took our money, called to say they dont have enough carpet, but could put a close match in for the rest. We opted to wait for re stock. The whole job was quoted at one day. After one day, they were about 30% done. The installed put a hole in our wall, neglected to tell us about it, tried to patch it himself with wadded up toilet paper and a little paint. Called store and they said i was being unreasonable to expect the carpet laid in the quoted time and said damage happens all the time, no big deal. Did not offer to fix it, nor did they offer to send extra crew the next day to finish in a reasonable amount of time. The owner refused my phone call numerous times. No wonder they are so cheap, they only do half the job and a lousy job at that. read more

If I could have selected a lower rating I would have. Don't waist your time and money on this place and go to a reputable company that provides quality service! I don't normally leave negative feedback but the job was so bad I felt it necessary. It has been a few months since I had Carpet Clearance Warehouse carpet my home. I thought I would just let it go but everyday I come home I have to see the awful job they did and be reminded of a worse experience. The experience began with a quote where they came out and assessed what it would cost to get the job done. All was pretty standard at this point but that was probably the best part and quickly went downhill. After returning to their shop I purchased the carpet and scheduled the install. The first install lasted for about five minutes and was told that the installers couldn't move any of my furniture even though I had paid the moving fee and the all the furniture was exactly the same as it was when it was inspected for the quote. Speaking with the shop to see what happened they were extremely rood and said I needed to fix the problem. At this point I had the first feeling that this wasn't a good choice. I told them that I wasn't comfortable with the situation and wanted to pull my order and get my money back before any work was done. They relayed that there would be a substantial fee. Not wanting to loose the money I figured I will just get this done and move on. In the end I had to rent a storage room and removed ALL the furniture from the house. Second trip the basement got carpeted by another installer and had to wait for the rest of the house. Third trip out to the house another set of installers came out and installed the carpet. However, my wife called me later that day and told me that one of the bedrooms wasn't carpeted. When I called they were again rood and told me that that is what I ordered. I told them that I cant imagine why if a whole house was asked to be carpeted why you would leave a main bedroom. They said I could pay an additional amount and have the room carpeted IF THEY HAD THE CARPET. Turns out they did have the carpet and paid even more money just to finish this nightmare. Another installer came out and finished the job and the room had uneven spots that is highly noticeable when you walk on the carpet. Its so bad that I have had guests come over and ask me whats wrong with the floor. Outside of the uneven floor there are noticeable seems from room to room. In addition there was exposed staples on the stairs that my daughter has cut her feet on while walking up and down the stairs. Once again called them and once again, they were rood. They told me to take a hammer to the stairs to push the tack boards down and said the seems would disappear with time. Well its been a few months and the seems have gotten worse and the carpet looks like it is ten years old. I think my old carpet looked better then this new carpet. Again I don't normally write bad reviews, in fact this is my first one but felt the job and service was so horrible it was worth the review. I would recommend any other place then this one and cant imagine that there could be any worse. I am thinking of having my carpet replace by another company. It looks that bad. This place is the bottom of the carpet barrel. Dirty showroom. Uneducated sales staff and installers. The MOST UNORGANIZED store I have ever seen. They sell seconds that do not even have warranties because they they didn't pass inspection at the mill. Everything product we saw in the store looked like it had been crushed. Hardwood was scattered all over everywhere out of boxes. They don't show up for appts and you will never be waited on by the same person twice. What a JOKE. read more

A few days ago we had someone come out to measure the carpet. He brought a device, so you'd think this would make for easy relay of total sq footage to the customer. Nope. Days went by and never so much as a call back, even after a reminder phone call from my husband (which shouldn't even have been needed.) My husband then just measured himself since it was obvious that they were never getting back to us, and went in to buy it yesterday because we are in a major time crunch and really need to get carpet in ASAP. After doing calculations with a 10% DIY discount factored in, the guy ringing him up gave him the wrong total price. My husband recalculated it himself and pointed out what was wrong with his number, to which he replied "Oh, I entered in the 5% military discount" like it was an accident (and after my husband never mentioned anything about the military.) A coworker even said "Ha, he's trying to write himself in a tip." Even after fixing these numbers, this guy still ended up overcharging him for the pad by $27.00. After my husband left the store, another guy finally calls to give him total square footage from the measuring, even though my husband just saw him in the store and knows that that guy saw him too. After he got home, my husband then calls to double-check on delivery time to which the guy says "Oh well something came up in Canon City, so I'm not sure if I'll make it in time." He did eventually make it later on, and who was it? The scammer from the store. Thankfully we aren't having them install, or God knows what else they would do. First this company acts like they don't want your money by never getting back to you after measuring (and we bought over $2,000 in carpet!) and then when they do take it, they try giving themselves a little extra commission after thinking you won't do calculations yourself. I have to wonder how many people have overpaid due to this tactic. Save yourself the aggravation and money and go elsewhere! read more

Should probably leave two reviews because these guys did GREAT with my carpet installation but I wish I'd never let them near my hardwood floors. Regarding carpet, I selected a decent quality carpet and got a good price after some comparison shopping. Installation went smoothly in every way--our job wasn't easy and their installers are excellent. Since that went well, we inquired about restoring our hardwood floors and got a reasonable bid. However, the guy they use is nothing but late with every appointment and was late by five days actually doing the job (after we'd moved all of the furniture ourselves to get ready for him). Then in his rush to finish, he slopped the stain round in three areas and had nothing but excuses as to "what happened and why it couldn't be fixed." Unbelievable. I was glad to get him out of my house and brought in a professional to fix his mistakes. So, long story short--Carpet Clearance Warehouse is great with carpet but keep them away from your hardwood floors. Lesson learned. read more

Terrible Customer Service!! I have NEVER in my life dealt with such uncaring incompetent people! Prices are reasonable but you will pay in customer service area. I had them come out to my house to install floors. I specifically told the them DO NOT let my dog in the house or out the gate. I was told they had no reason to go into the back yard. I come home, my dog ran away, doors wide open with garage open and no dog. I asked everyone where he was, oh uh I don't know. Nobody cared. Really? I asked how this could happen? The guys kid was helping he said he went out back and let the dog in the house. So on top of the emotional stress of trying to find my dog and then having to get him from the Humane Society, I have to deal with a group of people who don't care about the customer. Months after the floors were done we had an inspection done in order to sell our house. We were told the toilets were not put back correctly or anchored. I called these idiots back to fix their mess up. I was told they would come, they call last minute can't make it rescheduled for the next day, left me sitting and waiting for 2 hours, never showed up, never called. DONE!! read more
